This review is from when I was here at the beginning of Sep 2022. My partner and I got here around 11am and it was a little busy but not too crazy. We were seated inside about 15 minutes later and were given menus. When the waiter came around, we ordered our drinks and food at the same time so we could just receive both together. I got the imelda coffee cold and my partner got the cold brew. We ordered the blueberries and cream pancakes and arrachera maxima plate. They took our menus and they gave us our coffees about 10 minutes later. Then we waited....and waited...and waited. The place wasn't completely full and busy and there was people who came in after us, got their food , and finished before we got our food. We didn't receive our food for another hour. No one came up to us to assure that they didn't forget our order, they didn't offer to make up the wait time with another cup of coffee and they didn't apologize for the wait. So although the food was good, the wait time wasn't worth it for me.

Amazing flavors, great strong coffee, desserts are mouthwatering. The service it's outstanding. They are open until 12 am and close on Mondays. Alan makes you feel welcome and with great attention to detail.

Clearly marked vegan options. Staff aware of what is vegan and what can be made. The vibe inside is clean and really good. The service was really great. And the best part food and beverages - there is nothing we could find that was off. The mini churros were freshly made and came to us within a minute after that. The two vegan dips - peanut butter and strawberry jelly went so well together. The family tells me the condensed milk was very good as well. The Canadiano (black) was amongst the best we have had. The brew was so smooth and tasted just perfect. No bitterness or sourness and the temperature was perfect. The vegan Iced Chai Latte with soy milk was unlike any chai latter we have had. The spices were warm and drink cold and a hint cinnamon, cardamom and cloves - OMG. We were so impressed that we came the very next day and had the same thing again.

ATMOSPHERE: Cool and clean intimate cafe with a few seats. MENU: Salads, paninis, churros, cafe-style beverages and some alcohol. DESSERT: Churro Cup Choose a gelato flavor and topping. I opted for vanilla which went well with the generous amount of mini churros piled on top and declined a topping. The churros had good, creamy flavor, but were a bit too firm for my liking either due to their thinness or simply overcooked. SERVICE: Excellent. Very welcoming and friendly with follow up in between. TIP: Closed on Tuesday's; hours are 1p - 9:50p. OVERALL: Nice variety of churro combinations.

True to its name -- Spanish slang for "calm down" or "take it easy" or even "chill out" it is a straightforward cafe with slightly elevated prices and genuinely excellent customer service. That service, more than anything else, is what drives its strong reputation. The space inside is large enough to accommodate some decent sized groups, but due to the lack of ventilation I opted for their limited outdoor seating. It wasn't the most ideal situation, as a sign fell on top of my table, a stray dog was sniffing around, and the next door space was undergoing loud construction. We still made it work, due to the graciousness of the staff and their willingness to stay open past 4pm. Their iced latte ($70MXN), double espresso ($55MXN), and mambo smoothie ($110MXN) was the right thing to order at the time, but nothing too out of the ordinary. The latte had a good amount of milk in it, so much to the point that I was unsure about any coffee. This place is cash only and the lack of additional IVA tax charges came as a nice surprise. When I'm back in PV, I'm definitely interested in trying their brunch. The chilaquiles, breakfast tacos look fabulous, though the rest of the menu seems a bit skewed toward the gringo palate. The ultra friendly staff make this place what it is, which is worthy of many future visits.

This shop seems to be all the rave because we did a food tour of the town and they brought us here for coffee and sweets. There's a lot to cover, so buckle up. Cigars: This was once a bustling cigar factory that rolled cigars by hand. Alas, due to recent strict tobacco laws that have made it more difficult for tobacco lovers to access the humidor, customers can no longer buy cigars upstairs. The shop can still sell cigars, but you cannot smoke here or anywhere in town. This is a bummer, but it is not the shop's fault. Coffee: When we visited for the foodie tour, they made a delicious coffee for us to try, and it was exceptionally good. I went back and bought whole beans for home, and sadly, that coffee is mid at best. Chocolate: Wonderful selection of chocolates and each one we tried was better than the previous bite. I became obsessed with the coconut truffles, and I could eat those all day long. Handmade deliciousness with so many options to choose from. Service: Exceptional service and friendly staff make this a must-visit on your trip. Three of my favorite things in the world are offered up here and the service is good, it's a really cool spot to chill and break up your walking and to enjoy some good stuff.

This review is based on the mini workshop aimed at kids…read more I'm thinking the high average rating of this place is from the actual workshops that are not the mini one tailored to kids. The workshop advertises itself as a place to "make chocolate"; I guess I interpreted this a little too literally. The workshop consisted of literally pouring melted chocolate into molds and then adding some toppings like nuts or sprinkles to it. While this was very fun for my daughter who is a toddler, I felt ripped off for this experience. Furthermore, that you aren't even provided enough chocolate to complete your molds is a little disappointing in my opinion. Others in my group seemed to agree. The chocolate itself is very pricy, especially for the quality. It was more expensive than the pricier bars I've seen at Whole Foods. However, if you go to the botanical gardens, this chocolate is sold there but for about 25% more than what is in the shop. It also would have been nice to have had dark chocolate as an option for the experience. I think just having one type (milk chocolate) is an easy way for choco museum to improve. While our host was friendly and informative, it felt like a stretch to call this place a museum. I did learn stuff, but it seems you could only access the "museum" if you paid for a workshop.
