Walked in and were greeted right away by stagf with a great attitude. Seated us in a nice table and took our drink order. I had a Julian marg (Cadillac marg, different name) yummy. I ordered the carne asada. Had a small fopa on original plate but the staff made an amazing recovery. Needless it was amazing. I ate wayyyyy to much. Parking is shared parking. We were early for Sunday lunch. There are a mixture of booths and tables and we were attended to by our server Julio. We were seated immediately. And tended to. We were served chips and salsa. Those were made in the restaurant. Piping hot and delicious salsa. I got a mangonada margarita and a malcojete seafood. Mixture of seafood ( shrimp octopus and scallops in a hot spicy sauce with mixed vegetables- cauliflower, brocoli pepper, onions and mushrooms). My hubby got a margarita that was similar to a cadillac margarita. And carne asada. It was very chill and family friendly ; when we were there, some college kids were there in a group and they basically placed tables together to form a row for them. Highlu adaptable. Our food came delicious and piping hot. I loved my order of malcojete seafood. Flavour was fantastic. Shrimp octopus and scallops were very nicely done- succulent and juicy. Considering we are in the midwest- the seafood they cooked was fantastic. I would urge them to cut the pieces of octopus just a little larger. The scallops were small but delicious. It was a fantastic meal and Julio's service was wonderful. Hubby's carne asada was a little dry initially but Julio took notice and had the kitchen serve up a better piece. Wonderful service recovery. We will be back. This is truly one of the best mexican places we have been to here in Lincoln. read more

Kathy thinks the mango daiquiri is the best such drink she ever had and that her chicken fajitas were excellent. My first bite of chili relleno had me swooning....OK, that's overdone, but it was outstanding. The flan was excellent. It's operated by a family, one of solid parents and adult children. The service, therefore, was outstanding with great pride evident. It may not be my favorite Mexican restaurant, but it is the best one we have found in Lincoln. read more

The best service I have had at a restaurant. There is one guy in there who is SO polite, attentive, and is always smiling! It's hard to be sad at this place! The marg I had was delicious, and I kid you not this was the best arroz con pollo I have ever had. The flavors had DEPTH. Unbeknownst to me this restaurant had been open for four years before I found out about it. My FORMER favorite Mexican restaurant was Mazatlan. Their food (and occasionally the service) has gone way downhill over the past few years. They changed recipes for several items, one being my fave, the Colorado burrito. I was VERY happy to find out that the owners of Mi Mexico Lindo have former ties to Mazatlan, when it was good. They have the same or a very similar recipe for the Colorado burrito and other menu items are familiar as well. The service here is ALWAYS outstanding!! So friendly and respectful!! Although I haven't used the drive thru or outdoor seating, they are nice features to have. This is one of my "new" favorite Mexican restaurants in Lincoln!! It's a smaller restaurant (in a strip mall) but clean and well decorated. read more

As the only vegetarian in the party, I was fine with the limited options on the menu. Otherwise, I'm sure several of the dishes could have been made veggie by just eliminating the meat. Cute little restaurant, good if somewhat over enthusiastic service, worst burrito I have ever had. The menu is extensive and confusing. No pictures. Lots of different sauces. I had no real idea of how any of them tasted, so I thought I'd be safe and order a basic ground beef burrito. And it was completely flat. I mean basically a tortilla just folded over on a plate. Flat!! Inside it was a little red sauce with a bit of hamburger that had been ground so finely that it was virtually liquid. More red sauce poured over the top. Nothing else. No cheese, no sour cream, nothing. The whole plate was very bland. The chips, salsa, and Diet Coke were okay. My brother liked his enchiladas, so I probably just ordered the wrong thing. Hands down, one of the best mexican restaurants in Nebraska! Julio was our server. He was THE BEST WAITER I've had in a restaurant in a VERY long time! He was extremely attentive to all customers and was very helpful in answering any questions. This was my son's 1st time here and my 2nd time, The first time I came here for dinner with my wife, same cool guy was our server. I really appreciate the amazing service and how hospitable and friendly the staff are.. the interior is cozy and very cute for a date.. they have margarita specials on Tuesday's if your interested in that.. what makes me not want to return was amount of salt in the red sauce and carne asada meat which honestly made it inedible. I got a carne asada burrito which I didn't expect to have the red sauce over it.. the meat didn't have a good taste to it and it was super salty.. I was so hungry that I ate most of the chips and salsa, which were good... I also had all the rice on my plate. I didn't say anything about the saltiness because of the outstanding service I was receiving. Been here twice now and will keep coming back!! The Good: Food is really good with nice flavors and the staff seems to take happy pills before their shift. They are always smiling and happy to make your experience a good one! The Bad: It's an hour drive for us is the only downside I can find here. Mocajete was so fun and delicious- served in a big sizzling clay pot. My husband and I added shrimp to the four meats already in it and split a pomegranate margarita. He always adds queso cheese dip too! We are for $46 before the tip. We have been here a few times and the food and service have always been top notch. Everywhere else I've tried in my 20 years in Lincoln has always just been OK to me, not great. We have been here twice. Mi México Lindo has 4-5 more entrees I'd still love to try. Both times the meals exceeded my expectations. I recently tried Pollo a la mexicana. The first time we were there I tried a chimichanga covered in queso blanco. Their queso blanco is FANTASTIC!! We live in the neighborhood, but this was the first time we visited. We assumed it would be good, because it always seems to have a lot of cars in the parking lot. We were right! I had the Chile Colorado platter, and my husband had the Tacos el Carbon. Both we're delicious. We also had the guacamole, which was also very good. I liked that the guac wasn't the typical avocado purée like most people are accustomed to. This was clearly freshly made with a pico garnish. We also appreciated that the staff all pitched in together. They helped all the customers and weren't confined to a specific table. They were full of smiles and very polite. This is a pleasant restaurant and the food wasn't bad but tasted like it had been simmering on the stove way too long and was very dry. The hot salsa is very spicy which was a nice surprise but didn't care for the chips. Would have enjoyed it much more if the food was fresh. read more
