I went for the first time and ordered the fajita burrito with steak. It was flavorful, the steak was tender, and I loved it! The portion was large and I was unable to finish it all, so I will be enjoying the leftovers. The warm bean dip was delicious and I also liked the homemade salsa. I had an enormous house flavored raspberry margarita and it was really good. My brother ordered the coconut margarita and he said it was the best margarita he ever had. The service was okay as it took a little bit to get waited on but once we had our server, it was better. I will definitely be returning. read more

The food has been consistently exceptional every time I've visited. While the atmosphere can be mixed depending on the crowd, I'm always grateful for the hardworking service staff and the quality of the meals. The service has dependedably been fast, and I especially appreciate that some of the staff members are bilingual. It's wonderful to see language diversity celebrated here, which ultimately makes the environment even more welcoming. They are getting to expensive for Lincoln. 9$ for a table spoon of Spinach Queso, in a dixie cup, then pay extra for green chili sauce on my chimichanga, fail no communication whatsoever no beans all rice?? um nope 60$ for 2 people.. we have been getting take out for 5 years here, its never right.. THE SOUTH LOCATION IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Few weeks ago when I pulled up and parked about an hour and a half prior to close with my friend and young man ran out and closed the door and locked it. My friend called and they said they weren't closed. They let us in and the service was horrid we should have just left. Yesterday - 1/23/2025 Thursday we tried again. We were sat and then sat there for 20 minutes and no one came to greet us or even take our drink order. We got up and left. Today - 1/24/2025 Friday - I order carne asada to go. Meat rice and beans.. I waited 42 yes 42 minutes for my food and when I got home ALL OF IT WAS FREAKING COLD ALL OF IT meat rice beans all cold. I thought well it took 42 min so it's at least hot yeah? NOPE. And I live close. 3 min drive max so it's not like I was in the car for 15-20 minutes. Absolutely horrid service back to back days and prior. The north location is the only one I will visit ever again and even then I might not because of how bad of a taste the south location has now left in my mouth. Foods good but it def ain't that good. Love this spot! The owner & management have great hospitality! The complimentary chips & salsa are great! Many people love the bean dip that comes complimentary too! I personally don't like refined beans but my friend did! Portions are perfect and presentation and plate sizes are phenomenal. Some of the biggest plates I've ever seen come my way! Lol. Authentic and well done, Hacienda Real always serves up delicious Mexican food. On my most recent visit I had the Molcajete de Carne, a massive dish that could easily be shared, and was a delight for each of the senses: a variety of wonderful tastes, smelled rich and delicious, looked complex and enticing, audibly bubbled hot in the mortar in which it was presented, and stayed warm throughout the meal. Kid Friendly: we visited with 3 children under 5 years old following a concert where they had to sit still for a long time. Translation- they had tons of energy. This place has amazing, authentic Mexican food. There are many options on the menu. We ordered the Sopitos and Chile Verde Burrito. Both were full of flavor, I would recommend either of them. The meat was very tender and delicious. The portion sizes are very generous, we took the leftovers home and they were just as good the next day. The chips, salsa and beans starter are very good. My uncle took my dad and I here for my dad's 75th pre-birthday lunch! This was my first time here and during the lunch rush was hard to find parking as it appears to be a busy restaurant. The inside of the restaurant looked very nice and clean. Looks like an authentic Mexican restaurant as well as the food is authentic Mexican food and it has been the best one yet I have been to in Nebraska! I ordered the two taco combo plate which included a ground beef taco, shredded beef taco, rice and beans. Was so tasty! The chips, salsa and been dip were a big hit with us. The only issue that we had was my uncle only had 1 margarita but was charged for 2 . (Probably an honest mistake by our server who did give great service except for the accidental $8.00 overcharge). But he didn't realize till after we were half way to his home about 30 mins away. Everyone seemed to love their meals!!! Called at 8:28pm to place a to-go order, was then told by the staff they have already closed. Upon notifying them that it was only 8:30, and the website says "open until 9pm -Sunday" they agreed to take my order. I requested the fajitas (asada) and the taco el carbon (asada)... not complicated nor extensive. When I arrived at 8:55 my order was just arriving at the host station, for pick-up. I was super impressed and expressed my surprise to the timing alignment. As I didn't want to take up any of their time due to the close proximity to their closing, I gave them a super solid tip, gave the to-go bag a quick once over and called it good. Little did I know however my order was totally cold and totally wrong. I received a fajita quesadilla (Asada), quesadilla (asada) and a soaking wet taco el carbon (asada). *clearly this is not what I ordered* Unfortunately it was a major let down as I come from Cali and taco are typically served hot, even the street tacos. Also, I'm only staying two blocks away from the restaurant, so travel time had ZERO to do with the cold food aspect. Not totally sure what the issue is, but not worth my time or my money. So delish! We were passing through on a road trip and choose this spot based on other Yelp reviews. This food was some of the best Mexican food I've had - and I've had a lot! They serve a complimentary bead dip with their chips and salsa. We had the house Margarita on the rocks and it was solid. My fiancé had the Guadalajara platter and I had the poblano cream enchiladas. Me and my girlfriend tried this restaurant only because it had 4.1 stars. Maybe this was just an off day for the crew but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. We sat down for our chips, salsa, bean dip. The chips were stale, salsa had about 3 chunks in it the rest was water. Ordered queso and asked for corn tortillas got flour instead. For most our meal we were the only one in our servers section. Didn't get a refill on our drinks till we got our food. No napkins and had to ask for them and utensils. The rice was dry and tasted like it was made two weeks ago. The tacos were mid not bad. I over heard our server standing behind the bar talked on his phone about how his night was the evening before as me and my girlfriend sat there waiting on our food with empty drinks and chips and salsa baskets. Bruno shouldn't be a server at a restaurant if he can't handle one group. Will never come back to this place. read more
