We are new to the area and missing Mexican food from back home (Las Vegas), so we stopped here after driving by and seeing they had finally opened. First, the atmosphere and decor is very nice! The staff was very welcoming and we were seated rather quickly. I ordered a Mangoneada Margarita and it was delicious. The chips and salsa were also very delicious. I had so many chips and salsa I almost didn't eat my entree. We ordered the quesabirria plate with rice and beans. Also ordered tacos and they were good. Will definitely be back when we're in the mood for some good Mexican food. read more

This is our second order from Mi Pablo. We did takeout again, and I got the CHICKEN CAESER SALAD and NACHOS SUPREMO. The salad comes with a small amount of dressing--insufficient in my opinion. Be sure to order at least 2 dressings. For the price, more dressing should be included. The nachos are okay, but they don't come with many chips. A bigger bag of chips would improve this. Ask for extra chips and salsa! The total cost was nearly $32. Price and flavor are average. I plan to dine in with their hot sauces and margaritas, so I can ask for the extras I want. I'm going back but dining in next time. I think this is more of a fast food style quality of food verses Mexican restaurants we are used to. read more

Finally a good Mexican restaurant!! Although Mi Pueblo is not in Woodbury this side of town does not have any good Mexican restaurants till Mi Pueblo opened. Sat at the bar and the chips and salsa were excellent and had a beergarita which hit the spot. My wife ordered the queso and I can't comment because she would not let me have any as it promptly disappeared. The menu has loads of offerings and I tend to go to enchiladas which were excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and the overall fee of the restaurant was cozy with a good amount of people dining in at 7:30 pm on a very cold Saturday. Will for sure be back!! read more

Recently a new Mexican restaurant opened in town. This was pretty big news as for years the only Mexican place in town was Taco Bell. Now there's nothing wrong with wanting to make a "run for the border", especially for late night eats, but we really needed another option. Mi Pueblo is that option. We picked up some food to go. Honestly I was a bit hesitant as I looked over their menu. They have a really big menu which can sometimes be an indication that some of the food is not homemade. We ordered the birria tacos and the chicken mole. Our meal came with chips and salsa. I'll take chips and salsa over a bread basket anyday. Chips were decent. Not too thin and held up well to their surprisingly good salsa. This was not your average salsa. This salsa was deep in flavor, rich and had a bit of spice. So many times the salsa can be like tomato juice. Not here, this was very good salsa. The chicken mole came with beans and rice. Mole can be very complex. We really liked that they flattened their chicken making it more tender. The mole was both savory and a little sweet. Very good. The birria tacos were also very good. Tender beef and that consome was rich and flavorful. So good. Rice and beans came with the birria tacos. Creamy beans and fluffy rice. Very good meal. Mi Pueblo was pretty busy when we were there and rightfully so. Looking forward to trying more meals, especially some of their breakfast items. read more

Was craving Mexican and found there was a newer place in the Grove, so decided to give it a try. Glad we did! Is it the most authentic (non-Americanized) Mexican food? Probably not. But it is one of the better Mexican restaurants I've been to recently. The flavors were actually pretty decent here; the salsa had a subtle smoky flavor with heat, but not enough to be a turn-off for those who don't like hot. Hubs had a steak and nopales street taco. I've not seen nopales on a menu in the north, so this was a pleasant surprise. I had a build your own combo, with a cheese and onion enchilada, a hard shell chicken taco, and a beef chili con queso. All were very good. We happened to just make the tail end of happy hour, so we had a classic Margarita as well. Will definitely return! read more

This place opened up in November 2025 & hands down, it is the best Mexican place in town. It is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We went there for dinner on a Wednesday night and were greeted by a friendly host, got immediately seated and our server was awesome! They have lunch specials as well as all day weekday specials. The seating and bar area has plenty of space and most importantly, it was clean. We ordered a couple of drinks while enjoying the fresh made chips and salsa. Then came the main course and everything was very flavorful! Our party got 5 different entrees and no one was disappointed. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals from tacos, enchiladas and burritos. The serving size was generous also. I highly recommend trying this place. read more

We found out there was a new restaurant in our area so we had to try it! It's in a small strip mall, once you get inside the restaurant has a lot of character! Very bright, colorful, with vibrant music! We visited on Friday at noon on their 5th day of being open, so I'm being kinder than normal for customer service. We were so surprised to see how packed this restaurant was for lunch! It was great to see! But it meant lots of waiting in the beginning. Thankfully we got free chips and salsa very quickly but waited about 15 mins for our water! I ordered the quesabirria. Came with 3 plus consommé and rice. These were the meatiest ones I've had but also the least amount of melty cheese. Good flavor but really wish there was more cheese. My husband got the monster burrito. He enjoyed it. Definitely not one you can pick up With your hands to enjoy, it's smothered in queso and a red sauce. Overall, good experience. I'll try it again but probably order different things! read more

Yum! Delicious food, clean restaurant, good vibes. Our server was very nice, offering suggestions and answering our questions. We ordered a meal for 2, and the food could definitely have fed 3-4, we had tons of delicious leftovers. Family friendly as well, we had our baby with us, and there were other kids in the restaurant. Our only (small) complaint was that the margs were a bit too artificially sweet, but they had that very classic bottled margarita flavor, so if you enjoy that you might like these! We love this spot! Monday all day happy hour, you can't beat a $7 margarita! Fajitas are delicious with huge portions. We ended our last meal with churros which were amazing warm and perfectly coated in cinnamon and sugar. Service was friendly and fast. Restaurant is on the smaller side and can fill up quick so make sure to plan to wait a few or get there early. read more

Nice place with good food, drinks and vibe. My fav Mexican flavor is mole and I am picky about it. I took a chance and ordered the Chicken Mole Enchiladas and they were fabulous. Lots of shredded chicken and the mole sauce was perfect. My husband ordered the Pick 3. Good way to go cuz there are many items to choose from. He had the chili relleno: great; beef enchilada: good; the crunchy beef taco: eh. We are excited to have a new restaurant near our home. We showed up at 6pm on a Saturday in the first month they opened. We were third in line to be seated but didn't wait more than ten minutes. The restaurant was busy and we were happy to see Mi Pueblo had a lot of business. We were seated at a 2-person table very close to two other small tables which was a little awkward but conversation opened up as we drank our margaritas. My husband had the Cilantro Margarita- don't let the cilantro scare you, it tastes like a mojito margarita with a little zip. We shared a second one. My Texas Margarita was as expected. We enjoyed the fresh chips and salsa, the enchilada sampler was very good but the tortillas were pretty soft, and we loved the chicken chimichangas. The fried ice cream was delicious with the added raisins and spices. We had great friendly service. We'll be back! read more

A new restaurant in Cottage Grove. A nice addition to all the chain stores I'm tired of. A quaint, clean and well decorated dinning room and bar. Complimentary chips and salsa which were good. Food was authentic and well made. The rice was the best I've had. Quesabirria tacos were wonderful. Staff was on fire! Idk what happened but I've been here about 5 times and it's gone downhill and fast. I've always gotten some form of enchiladas or chimichangas. I've done both dine in and take out but generally do take out. Today I got the chimichangas platter and I live aproxx 2 mins away. My food was cold... when I did eat it I felt like getting sick. Just was overall off. Idk. I think I'm done here. I don't think their salsa is that great maybe it's just hit or miss. In restaurant it was fine but to go tasted strange. Maybe they prepackage it and it was spoiled. Overall they didn't live up to the previous hype and imo another one bites the dust. Such a shame. We enjoyed it. After living in Colorado with really delicious Mexican food, this was the closest we have found in MN with authentic flavor. We had carne asada tacos, very good. The cucumber mint margaritas had fresh mint and cucumber and were good! The food definitely has a midwestern friendly spice level, if you like spicy food you may want to add extra sauce Also, the decorative style was clean and welcoming. Food and service were amazing! Love the vibe too. This place was great for date night but will be back with our kids too.

Chow Now refunded our money the same night we had this issue. We will go to the restaurant next time and leave Uber out of the equation.
