We came here today for my husbands bday lunch. We were excited to see such great reviews. We are from California and being raised with Mexican meals being our main dish and trying a few places here in Washington that were horrible. We were excited to try this spot. We kinda missed this place at first because its tucked away but it was like a hidden gem. The plate sizes were very big. My husbands burritto was huge. Our waiter was amazing. He happened to be the owners son. I loved how he kept coming back to see if everything was alright. The food tasted great. We will definitely come back here again. read more

Very good food with an authentic Mexican taste. The menu has some dishes not found at other Mexican restaurants, it was a pleasant surprise. It is very clean and the staff was very friendly. I have been coming here for a few years. This is the only place I ever go for mexican food. Every time I come in Oscar remembers me and asks about my family. The food is top notch, best in the area! It's a family run business based on a level of respect that is uncommon. You can't go wrong here, everything is delicious. Oscar and his family are good people and I'll never go anywhere else. Food was mediocre and service non-existent. My water was never refilled and a cleaning towel was left on our table for almost the entire time. After eating here for two years, I found out that the "Vegetarian Menu" isn't vegetarian, all the rice is made with chicken stock/broth. In addition, I was told for 2 years that the refried beans didn't contain lard, which they do. It's an outright lie to say these items are vegetarian. The staff either doesn't know what vegetarian means or they don't care. Or they've been instructed to lie by the owner. Really disappointing. read more

So far I've tried this place twice. The first time we came I loved it! The food was so yummy, I had the taco plate and my significant other had their burrito. Well this second time we came I didn't care for the food whatsoever, worst chile verde I have ever had..the pork was so overcooked it was dry and it was drowned in flavorless chile Verde, how is that even possible? I drenched it in salsa and than added tapatio, and nothing helped so I gave up. I would come back, but this time I will stay cleer from their chile verde. Lol read more

I give this more of a 3.5 than a 4. Came here on a date night with my bf since we've been craving Mexican food. We opted out of the truck bc we wanted to sit down and I wanted a margarita. This place has good reviews so we decided to give it a go. It's a nice small place in the same plaza as pho mania ( right next to it actually). Easy to find if you know where that is. We were seated right away but it took a little while for the waitress to come back for our order. Didn't bother me much since I was too busy looking at everything on the menu. I ordered a blended gold mango margarita. It was huge. I definitely didn't finish it. I ordered a combo plate with a taco, sope and enchilada. My bf got a burrito, taco and enchilada plate. When the plate came out we were super disappointed by the hard shell taco since those really aren't authentic Mexican. We've also been living in Southern California, where my bf is from and we were expecting the corn tortilla. Whatever. We ate it and I liked it. The plates were so huge bc the combo plates came with beans and rice. He was so full but I made sure I saved room for dessert. I got the deep fried ice cream. Let me just say, I had a moment with it. They roll the fried ice cream in a cinnamon sugar so it tasted like a churro. I was in heaven! Overall, we'd come back. We want to try other places but at least I know where to go for a huge margarita and bomb dessert. read more

Took forever to seat us, then finally when they sat us, we waited almost 20 minutes just to get the menus! i was pissed lol so we walked out. BUT went there a second time and everything was much better, it wasn't as busy, they had more servers (the first time we went there, there were only two) the food took a little while, but it was delicious! read more

I had the quesadilla combo - yummy, but I should have gotten the posole cuz others were having it and it looked delish. This place is awesome. Best Mexican food I've had in Olympia/Lacey area. Went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago after reading a bunch of positive reviews on here. Everything was great. I had a margarita (killer!) and ordered a combination late of chicken tamale and shredded beef enchilada. Best enchilada sauce I've had anywhere. The beans and rice were perfect as well. Hands down best Mexican food in thurston county! Like the salsa a lot, we are cilantro fans. My partner had Carne asada, this is what she gets at every Mexican place. She loved it! Looked great! Cooked beautifully and the home made flour tortillas were exceptional. Aside from a place in cali, best Carne asada. I had the tacos.. like little street tacos with just cilantro and raw onion. Good authentic Mexican food. I had a tasty combination plate of 1 tamale (beef), 1 enchilada (cheese) and 1 taco (carne asada) with rice and beans. Tamale was excellent, as well as the enchilada, but the taco fell short. The carne asada was good, but the taco lacked "harmony". Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, drinks never ran dry. I moved here about a year ago, being from Southern California I am always searching for a good authentic Mexican food joint and I FINALLY found one. Mi Pueblo is AWESOME! The chips and salsa are homemade and awesome, the cheese dip, fantastic, guacamole, delicious! I have ordered almost everything on the menu and have loved it all, especially the carne asada tcos. Love this place ! Randomly happened upon it about a year ago while visiting friends in Olympia and we were craving some good Mexican food. This place had great reviews so we thought we'd give it a try, I am so happy we did! The food was delicious, can't remember what I had the first time we were there but recently I went back and had the Mole Enchiladas, he flavor was right on, it is hard to make a good Mole and the knocked it out of the park.
