Delicious and such fresh tasting Black Bean Soup!
    Alden C.

Dos Hermanos is an excellent Mexican restaurant that is tucked away in a market area inside of a building in downtown Olympia. Steve and I ducked in here for a snack and we were both quite pleased with what we ordered. We got an order of nachos to share along with a bowl of Black Bean Soup. The soup and nachos were both delicious, fresh and vibrant in flavor. I had a mild craving for nachos for a while and this definitely fit the bill nicely. There looked to be a lot of other promising menu items and I can say I am not sure if you could go wrong with anything off of the menu. We certainly didn't feel that way with what we ordered.

Decently priced Mexican food. The fish tacos came out delicious. Nothing to complain. The supreme burrito was just ok. I picked the burrito because it comes with chips and salsa. The chips were really good. They were thick. The salsa was just OK. The contents of the burrito tasted good but it was poorly wrapped. The ingredients were not evenly mixed so you get beans and chicken the first half, lettuce and sour cream the second half, and avocado the last 2 bites. My friend's burrito came apart and she had to eat it with a fork.

Outstanding food. Fresh high-quality and priced right. Came in for lunch we got our meal quickly.

Cute little place in 22 Market, great location near the transit center. Got the supreme burrito and it was alright, honestly wish it was a bit cheesier though.

    Margarita Azul. Cheers!

We had dinner there last night. The Azul Margarita ($14) was bliss, but pricey for a 10-12 oz cocktail. But... The rest of the food was just OK... and expensive... and NO complimentary chips & salsa. You order at the counter and take a seat and then wait briefly to be served. The atmosphere is OK, kind of like a food court, but smaller and with some interesting art. We had a chile relleno entree ($17), tamales (plural on the menus, but you get 1 tamale) entree ($12) and side order of two carne asada tacos (not priced on the menu, but apparently they were $7 EA). Entrees were average size and came with rice & refried beans. Nothing about either meal was worthy of a "wow"; the chile relleno & tamale were good, but far from the best we have had elsewhere. There was very little chicken in the tamale and the masa was very thick - way too much masa-to-filling ratio. The tacos were very good - flavorful steak, chopped onions, and cilantro on a freshly-made soft corn tortilla, with salsa on the side. The man taking our order was neither friendly nor helpful. The ladies in the kitchen who cook & serve were friendly, and we didn't wait too long, except the corn tortillas that came with my Chile relleno didn't arrive until I was nearly finished. The worst part was the extremely high price - our bill (before 15% tip) was $71! There are far better places in Olympia to eat Mexican food for less money. Standard Mexican food & a margarita shouldn't cost over $35 per person. Our go-to place is in Taqueria Y Mas Mi Pueblo in Lacey. Last night convinced us to not stray from what we know to be excellent, reasonably-priced food & friendly, efficient service! Much better prices and larger servings, too! Dang!! Now I feel like going to dinner again, but my dining out budget has been blown!!

Side of rice and beans. Nice presentation.

This place is good, not great, but worth a quick stop for some Mexican food in downtown Olympia. My wife, her sister and I dropped by for dinner last night. The restaurant is located in a mini-mall place with other eateries. It smells like ice cream cones as you walk in! We had guacamole and chips and the smothered burritos. Pros: big burrito, tasty, homemade chips and quiet place: good for old fockers like me with hard of hearing. was good as was the green salsa. Cons: guacamole was ten dollars for two tablespoons, the food was warm not hot and no draft beer. Give it a try. Quality stuff with a nice atmosphere.

It was cold the day went but, if you get warm weather, try for their outdoor patio. I ordered the lemon rosemary hummus (delish) with gluten free crackers and it came out with lots of sliced veggies, olives and pickled carrots and onions. A great value! My main course was king salmon and it was perfect. I ordered a lemonade and was disappointed that the tall skinny glass it was served in was full to the top with ice, so there was very little left to drink. My husband enjoyed the Cesar salad he ordered, tasted like a traditional Cesar. He tried the special beef cheeks and found them to be very fatty and gelatinous. He wouldn't recommend them. They did have a N/A beer option he was happy about. Service was attentive and friendly.

Swing Wine Bar Review: A Disappointing Anniversary Dinner My…read morewife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and I chose Swing Wine Bar as a surprise because I wanted the evening to be special. Based on the restaurant's reputation and reviews, I expected a memorable dining experience and a wonderful way to celebrate together. Unfortunately, while the restaurant made a strong first impression, the experience steadily declined and ultimately left us disappointed. Upon arrival, we were seated at a great table with a beautiful view that offered a sense of privacy. At first, everything seemed promising. However, after introducing himself, our server appeared distant from the very beginning. When he asked what we would like to drink, everyone at the table requested water. From that point on, his demeanor seemed to change noticeably. He became more formal, less friendly, and responded to our questions about the menu with very brief answers. He brought our water and told us he would return to take our order. After waiting nearly twenty minutes without seeing him again, I eventually got up and looked for him myself, asking if he could come take our order. He followed me back to the table, and each of us ordered a different entrée. Throughout the interaction, he seemed detached and uninterested in creating a welcoming dining experience. When we first arrived, he had placed small plates and silverware on the table. Later, after we had ordered and he happened to be passing by, I asked whether bread or a salad was included with the meals. His response was simply, "No," before immediately turning around and walking away. It was an abrupt and somewhat dismissive interaction that further reinforced the impression that customer service was not a priority. About twenty minutes later, our food arrived. I ordered the New York steak. The steak itself was decent, and the gravy served with it was quite good. However, the broccoli was burned, and the meal consisted of little more than the steak, mashed potatoes, and two very small carrots. Overall, it felt like an expensive version of a basic roast beef dinner. To be fair, not every dish missed the mark. My son's pasta was enjoyable overall, although the shrimp was overcooked and there was very little sauce on the pasta. My wife's hamburger was well prepared, and my father-in-law's brisket was flavorful and tender. After we finished eating, our empty plates sat on the table for quite some time. Eventually, another employee noticed and came over to clear them. A short while later, our server returned, collected my plate, and said he would be back so we could order dessert. When he returned, he listed the dessert options, but none of them sounded particularly appealing to anyone at the table, so we declined. I then asked for the check. Ironically, this was the quickest service we received all evening. The check arrived almost immediately, and I paid it without delay. The final disappointment came with what should have been a thoughtful anniversary gesture. Our server dropped off a card that read, "Thank you for celebrating your anniversary with us." While the gesture itself was appreciated, the card was unsigned and presented without any personal touch. Rather than feeling like a sincere acknowledgment of our special occasion, it felt more like an obligation. What should have been a special surprise anniversary dinner for my wife ultimately became a frustrating experience. While some of the food was enjoyable, the inattentive service, lack of hospitality, and absence of any meaningful personal touch overshadowed the positive aspects of the evening. For a restaurant that presents itself as a destination for celebrations and special occasions, Swing Wine Bar fell well short of my expectations. Based on our experience, I would not recommend it.

To be clear, I have been coming to Endless Sound since shortly after it opened and am a wine club member. I was at the winery with friends this evening when I watched this unfold. Melody came in with a man and small child and was told to take a seat. Mark (the owner) was single-handedly managing 20-25 people while preparing for the wine and cheesecake pairing. Shortly after sitting down, Melody got up and went to the counter where she proceeded to verbally accost Mark at a high enough volume where she could be heard throughout the space. She did not allow Mark the chance to respond to her, nor did she ever try to engage with him in a less confrontational manner. After sitting, she sat and waited. She never tried to flag him down. Instead, she went straight to a verbal altercation with a raised voice, in which she made an absolute scene and embarrassed herself. She immediately ran to Yelp and left this review. Frankly, she should be ashamed. To call Mark a racist is also deeply problematic to me. As someone who has been coming to this winery since shortly after it opened, I have never once seen Mark treat anyone with something less than absolute respect and kindness. Melody's accusation has malicious intent, and frankly, maybe she was having a bad day, but Mark is a phenomenal human and welcoming to all. For those of you looking for a real opinion, this is an incredible local spot with great wines, awesome ambiance, a ton of cool events, and a wonderful and knowledgeable winemaker. Pay Mark a visit, you won't be disappointed.
