I recently visited this restaurant for the very first time and had a late lunch with some colleagues. The food was the standard Tex-Mex. I quite enjoyed a three enchilada meal of moist shredded chicken. It also included sides of rice and beans. The table service was adequate, with my drink kept regularly filled. There weren't many other customers inside dining at the time of my visit. The exterior of the building had interesting decor features, so I took some pictures. Unfortunately, the front door leading into the vestibule wouldn't completely shut, thereby allowing insects free entry to the interior. The food was sooo good. That was my first time trying that particular dish and first time trying Mi Pueblo, however I want that dish all the time. My only drawback was that it was hot enough. While the restaurant had just opened and the crowd was slim, we still had a little wait time between service and bringing tickets. The restaurant area was clean others in my party said the bathroom smelled like dirty mop water. Overall if i'm ever in the area, I would go again read more

Ate lunch there today and it was hands down the worst food I've ever had at any Mexican restaurant. I ordered a simple chicken cheese and rice and the chicken was bland and tasted like they had boiled the chicken instead of grilling it. I just got the worst food tonight. The soft tortillas were so stale that you could not even chew them. I ordered 6 soft shell steak with cheese tacos. The serving of steak skimpy and the cheese almost nonexistent. Their food has been good in the past but tonight was impossible to eat. So disappointing. read more

Got the Pork Carnita, not bad if you like crunchy pork - it was overcooked. The service was good until I was ready to leave. Had to ask two different servers before getting the check. Looked at it, the meal was 12.99, tax was 1.43, total was 15 dollars even. There was a hidden charge somewhere. Went to the register, asked about it and he kept say pay 15 dollars without any type of explanation. I asked for the manager and he said there was not one. Finally, I paid. Turned out, there is a hidden fee if you use credit. I did not see a sign at the register, there was no notice on the menu, and there was not even a separate line on the receipt. read more

Ive been there twice. First time was a great dining experience. I had a great waiter. I ordered the 1 taco and burrito lunch. It tasted great. 2nd visit. I was seated in the back with no one around me. I didnt like that. Ordered the same thing as first visit. The burrito had nothing in it but ground beef. the Waitress was rude when I ask about an extra charge on my bill, which was for cheese sauce on burrito. We stopped for a late lunch traveling through the area. The portions are big. We got beef nachos and the chicken chimichanga lunch. The nachos were great. About 3 miles off I-55. Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. We were seated quickly and the waiter got our order in a head of a party of 13. My daughter got the loaded bake potatoes. I got the the tacos supreme. Portions were huge. Food tasted great. Service was good. read more

This was our first visit. Well worth the 25 minute drive. A pleasant atmosphere with great service. The tamale was the best I think I ever had. The refried beans were very good, a little different taste than most places. The entire family enjoyed the meals. We definitely will be back. read more

Very authentic and down home Mexican food. Spacious dining area and the the food is just excellent. I am all about the shrimp fajitas but any of the other ones are just as good in my opinion. We eat here at least once a week. Whether dine in or take out the food is always good. The service is also usually good although if your there during a busy time service is a little bit slow which to me is understandable. Staff is always friendly & accommodating. If your looking for something a little different but delicious & super spicy try the cactus dish. Big portions. The food was middle of the road as far as American Mexican. For the location it is the best around if you are in town. Stick with the beefs and chicken dinners and avoid the seafood. The queso had no flavor, there was hardly any cheese in the quesadilla, and all the meat was in some weird sauce. I ordered a shrimp taco salad. Driving thru AR I had to stop and spend the night in this town. Not much of a town, and not many options for food. Stopped at this Mexican joint and was surprised. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla, and it was excellent. Actually, half was shrimp, and half was filled with chorizo. The shrimp had a great flavor, and the chorizo was spicy! This ain't no wimpy quesadilla! It actually comes out looking more like a taco. This place is worth a try if you're passing through. read more

The only restaurant worth going to in this town. There are very few options that are actually authentic like the tacos mexicanos. They have a great salsa that you have to ask for that is much spicier than the red salsa they bring with the chips. Just ask them if they have a "salsa mas picosa". My boyfriend likes to get the fajita nachos over rice instead of chips and lemme tell you it is pretty darn good. Overall this place is solid and the staff is really friendly. Passing through on business and impulsively decided to stop. Salsa is a little thin but tasty and smooth with mild heat. Chips are comparable to chips in most Mexican restaurants I've been to. I had the burrito Special, the shredded chicken was delicious, topped w white cheese, lettuce, tomatoe slice and healthy dallop of sour cream. Rice was fluffy and typical of Spanish rice. Beans were good and topped with cheese. My guest had the lunch taco salad. Looked a little small but again a lunch portion. He said it was very good. We both agree that we would come again. Server was slow to the table but once she came everything from then on was fast. Decor is upbeat. Ceiling tiles need replaced and the decor above arm reach needs a good dusting. Salsa is like a tamato juice with no seasoning! Have recently looked at my charges on my checking account and seen I was double charged "twice" in the month of July!
