Rosca de reyes...hands down the best rosca (kings bread) you will ever have!

*****This is a review for the bakery in the back not the grocery store******* Located in the corner of Newbridge and Willow you will find Mi Tierra Linda Market. Once you park in their private lot you immediately start to smell the sweet aroma of baked bread, only to overwhelm you once you enter the grocery store. Tucked in the very back of the shop you will fins the culprit for the amazing smell. Only the best pan ducal bakery in the bay area. You will not find the quality nor the price in any other latino market. The ladies who run the cashier are attentive but be patient as it can get quite packed especially in the mornings, after 6pm and weekends between 9-10am. Even when the crowds are huge and you get that small hint of fear there might not be left for you, don't fret you little gluten loving heart. The are consistently popping fresh baked bread out of the oven. They offer the sweet breads as well as bolillo and telera bread which are great for sub sandwiches and/or tortas. They also offer special order ahead breads for Dia de Reyes (rosca-kings bread) and pan de Muerto for dia de los muertos. Once again they guys are total rockstars when it comes to the special orders because they get crazy packed but totally deliver! Once again this is the place to get your sweet gluten fix!

Trying to exercise self control in order to not each two conchas within one hour, but look at how good it looks!

Delicious pan dulce!! They're always baking, so my bread has been fresh and warm. My only complaint, it's cash only!

Some of the best tacos I've ever had. Pulled in here to avoid sitting in traffic, had incredible carne asada and chicken tacos

Then I looked closer and realized they had just put the 50% off stickers on! Mega Mart has so many fresh sushi and Korean food options, which are my favorites, so of course I wasn't about to miss out. I ended up buying a lotttt: a pack of salmon nigiri, a mixed nigiri platter, a pack of uni & toro sushi, and a poke bowl. I also picked up some sundae (Korean blood sausage) because it's my partner's favorite. They also have a huge selection of bakery items and Korean rice cake desserts. I loaded my cart with so many things, but in the end I only bought a Dubai chewy cookie, it was only $5, which is such a steal! There was so much more I wanted to buy, but I knew I couldn't possibly eat it all, so I had to sadly leave the rest behind. And you know what? The sushi was so freshhhhh! Even though I bought it after 7 PM, the quality wasn't affected at all. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Our family had such a filling and satisfying meal thanks to Mega Mart. I'll definitely be taking advantage of this deal many more times in the future!

Some of the feedback we received for our event: "Where did we get the food from!? It's really good!!" "I didn't get a chance to take photos of the food, but I can say it was delicious. It tasted like authentic Mexican food and really enhanced the 5 de mayo celebration!" "Where is this from? I liked the chicken!!" "The chicken was good!" There wasn't a line except for one person in front me, and after that person was finished, I was able to get my order placed after a few minutes. The pricing isn't super clear on the menu board. The burrito ended being closer to a $17 after I made it a super, which honestly a bit too high considering the quality wasn't there. I went with carne asada super burrito and the meat, rice, and beans didn't have much flavor. I noticed they did scrape the end of the container and it was all grease, which was a bummer because they had just finished cooking a fresh batch. I saw the burrito made before me and it was pretty big, then when mine was done being made, it was half the size. Not sure I'd order that again. They did have a few tables to eat indoors, so nice to have to place to sit while eating. The supermarket is self is good though. Plenty of premade salsas, fresh tortillas, tamales, and more. Definitely will probably stick to the groceries instead of taqueria portion.
