Ok big dawg here's another one. So I got carnitas and lengua tacos. They were delicious and tasty. The lengua had the right seasoning and flavor as well as the carnitas. My only complaint would be give extra salsa to go and make sure the limes are not tough as rocks.. no juice came out of them.The service was great and fast, the workers are in sync and put out orders sufficiently. Picked up exactly what I needed to fulfill a craving for chocolate chip cookies. They even has 'Mexican' vanilla. Get paper goods, sodas, chips, booze, meat, produce and fruit, cheese and more. The taqueria appears to still be providing food at this time. I went late afternoon and they were all cleaned up for the day. They are also taking the 6-foot spacing requirement given this time with COVID-19. And how funny that there are contraceptives right at the check out line where candy should be. Located near my work, this is a convenient spot for lunch. The taqueria is located toward the back where the lunch line can get long quickly so be sure to come at about 11:30 to beat the crowd. There are usually 2 people working behind the counter so it can be quite slow but the food is delicious and the price is so reasonable. I usually order their street tacos. All their meats are tender and flavorful. Their produce is pretty good although the avocados I bought were all brown in the middle. Hot sauce and dried beans are also my frequent buys. Don't miss their pan dulces and palette located near the front of the store. read more

Today I stop by to buy a carnitas burrito, I order a regular carnitas burrito, I didn't like it the carnitas was super dry and not just that but I was not happy with the price for the burrito that I got. I was expecting paying $9.00 for a good size but my burrito look like a baby burrito because they just barely put beans, rice and of course just little meat. A friend recommended El Rancho as a great spot to grab lunch in the area. There is a small counter where they make burritos, tacos etc to order. My husband and I both got the chicken burritos and they were huge, and delicious! I am sure on weekdays it gets busy, but we stopped by around 1145 on a Saturday and there were only a couple people in front of us so we were in and out in less than fifteen minutes. read more

Mi Rancho has real coca-cola from Mexico. With real sugar! Too bad I don't like coca-cola. Mi Rancho smells funny. Mi Rancho is good for when you forgot to get something at the real grocery store. Mi Rancho also has really cheap meat. Everything is $4 per lb. If you know Spanish you'll even know what you're buying. The catfish filets are great for BBQing. Veggies are cheap too. Not sure what the review of 'really expensive' is all about. Does Goodwill sell veggies? kthxbuhbye. Its pretty authentic Mexican products and selection. The meat cuts are in Ingles and Espanol, something I would have loved my first year I lived in Mexico. Very reasonably priced, in fact, its kinda funny some of the meat (arrachera) was cheaper here than in Mexico! Pretty large hot food counter - I took a carnitas platter to go which wasn't bad. Big plus (for me) here, they sell the small Mexican limes at a reasonable price, which are great for hand made, real, non gringo, margaritas. Btw, for those of you that like the Mexican Coca with real cane sugar, a guy knowledgeable on NAFTA told me about a year ago that would be ending some time as something would expire and make the crap we use in the US available at same price. I don't drink real Coke often, but every now and then a real Coke was a treat. I will do more reviews and updates as I shop, as this place is very close. I consider it a find, though. I have yet to enter into this establishment, but during this last summer, some of my co-workers picked up some pollo asado and carne asada from here to grill on the Barbee! This review is for the DELI/Hot Food COUNTER near the rear of the market. My dumba$$ has been trying every lame burrito shop in Menlo Park and never thought of the one in here, essentially a few blocks from home. It is VERY good. Super Burrito, $5.79, loaded with Carnitas (also very good btw) and it came with Cheese and all the fixings in it, take that Aguililla Market. They chop it all in front of you, blah blah blah. And the glass on the heat cabinet, squeaky clean, impressive. Saw several folks ordering Super Quesidillas so I had to go back and give them a try. Excellent and Huge, priced at $5.50 - amazing! AND the glass cabinets are still impressively squeaky clean. I'll be back. PS. They have remodeled/relocated the produce section and it looks Great!! read more

I like Mi Rancho because the produce is fresh and the price is right. It's definitely less expensive to buy your lettuce and carrots (etc.) at Mi Rancho than Safeway and other large markets. It is also less expensive than the Chavez market. The cashiers and counter clerks at Mi Rancho are always polite and helpful. read more

Having tried to unsuccessfully get fish tacos at Tiendita down the way, we headed here for our taqueria cravings. Got asada, pastor, lengua and carnitas tacos, plus some Oaxacan string cheese and a large horchata to round out the meal. Since there are no tables we trekked over to the VA campus at ate at the bus stop. Tacos dont skimp on meat and for $1.45 each its totally filling. The flavor of the meats were pretty good but for some reason some of my tacos were lukewarm. Oaxacan cheese was good as was the horchata. Might have to give some of the other items a try but 3.5 stars for now read more

This is the best market in Menlo Park! They recently remodeled and it's made a huge difference. They have great quality for much cheaper prices than big grocery stores. I just moved to Menlo Park and was amazed by the high prices in the area's supermarkets as well as the low quality of vegetables and fruits. I was very glad to find Mi Rancho, a neighborhood market that carries all the daily products I need for a reasonable price. VERY DISAPPOINTED I bought 2 pounds (5 pieces) of salmon for $24.88. As soon as I got home I put the salmon in the oven and I never smelled anything sooo disgusting. I called the store and spoke to a gentleman and he told me come back to the store and he will give me a full refund, I got to the store spoke with the Manager Joanna and explained to her that the salmon was bad. She told me that I could not get a full refund because I'm only returning 2 pieces!!!!! read more

The taco part of the restaurant is gone...use to like coming here for some to go tacos. They have a sign that says they're remodeling and so now they have a taco truck outside in their busted up parking lot...ya no thanks. The aisles are tight so you have to rub shoulders with people to get through. On the plus side, produce looks fresh and they do have all the mexican items i need and like (queso fresco, crema, pan dulce/mexicano etc). Note: this review is solely based on the burritos The other day, I literally came here after spending 8 hours on the road starting in Irvine. My dad usually gets burritos here since he works at the VA hospital across the street, and from time to time he'll bring some home for my sister and I. This was my first time actually going there, and I was starving my ass off after not eating anything since I left SoCal. I went with the super burrito. I would have given this place 4 stars, but the ladies at the counter kinda ignored me for a bit and they had no carne asada for their burritos. Instead I opted for carnitas. I would have wanted pollo asado, but I had pollo asado fries the night before. Yes I love Mexican food, in case you didn't know yet. The lady hooked it up with a very generous amount of carnitas though! No wonder it was considered a super burrito. My dad usually got the regular size ones. I took it home and was pretty good. The burrito was full of carnitas, but towards the last 1/5th of my burrito, it was all rice and beans. Oh well. I'm gonna go back sometime to try it in carne asada or pollo asado form (or at least tell my dad to swoop one up for me), so expect my review to be updated. $5.29 for the super plus tax. cheerio. read more

Worst customer service. The cashiers at this place seems to always be in a bad mood. Note to self: If you are in a bad mood stay home and don't bring your drama to work. Also they treat WIC customers so bad. They move them from one cashier to another and then to another leaving them clueless as to who's helping them and giving them attitude if they made a mistake. We are all human and we make mistakes. Give them a break. I sure do miss the old Mi Rancho Supermarket. i swear i was mexican in my past life. with my liking of mexican food and my mexican lover,...maybe i was. this review is based on the hot foods served here. *decent carne asada burrito- different than what i'm used to but still good in its own right. these burritos are HUGE and densely packed with meat, rice, (refried) beans for me, and little sour cream, onions, and salsa. for once, i can just eat half and be full unlike other burritos i've had where i devour. not full of extra fatty fat sour cream n guacamole that makes most other burritos mushy! *yummy horchata!!! *decent carne asada tacos with perfect onion/cilantro/salsa topping *i got to choose the type of salsa i liked too which is a plus!! haha for reals, how is a mexican market considered expensive? bc this one is fairly priced for mexican goods; it is a fact that they charge more for american juuunk. read more

The first time I went here I got a carne asada super burrito and it wasn't too good. The meat wasn't fresh, the burrito was kind of cold, and the way it was put together was weird (like, getting one bite of just sour cream, ew). I decided to give it one more chance and just got a bean and cheese burrito because I figured that was pretty hard to mess up...but it still wasn't very good. The beans seemed old and had a weird film on them...I could've made a better burrito with a can of refried beans lol. I wouldn't recommend this place, as much as I wanted to like it! read more

I live less than two blocks from Mi Rancho but never went there to shop for groceries because it looks kind of questionable on the outside. It wasn't until the fiance and I forgot to buy something from Safeway and didn't want to drive all the way back (2 miles) that we actually stepped in. We have been frequent shoppers here ever since. I've never gotten the hot foods here and usually stay with the fruits and veggies. They're usualy fresh and very reasonably priced compared to Safeway and Trader Joe's. The ambience is pretty shoddy, but it's tolerably clean and super close to where I live and we get what we need. read more

I went here to eat because i heard great thngs about it, The restaurant section consist of a walk by place and their is no chairs or stools to sit on the food is way over priced,and they dont even make it the way it looks on their menu. the place is super busy and looks pretty clean. it is relatively well stocked but very basic. they have mostly hispanic items which is what i go there for. i am giving this rating due to the cashier laughing and gigling with the other cashier behind her and totally ignoring me. totally distracted and dropped my credit card and it took 30 mins for someone to retrive it from under belt. other than that, its a good store. dont expect to find anyone speaking much english if you have a specific question. read more

I shop here regularly even though chain stores are an option in the area. I particularly like their cuts of beef and pork. Their beef in their meat section is pretty lean, leaner than offered at some chain stores, and so fresh looking behind the glass. I love the carnitas at this place too, my favorite store/market for it. And because I sometimes find myself driving by the store on weekends on my way to some spot, I'll stop and pick up some snacks for anyone and everyone because of the large variety to choose from, broken out into individual packages. (I don't have to buy a box of this and a box of that.) Plus, they always have enough cashiers to process customers' purchases quickly. Maybe it's just me, but they seem to ring items quicker than most others stores I've tried. (I'm not very patient when it comes to waiting in grocery lines I admit...who is?...so that's why this is important to me.) I'm glad this store is there for me. read more
