I come here for the fajita burrito. It's so good. I'll never order any other entre from the menu.

We love Mi Zarape!! I used to work at the Marriott hotel and everytime I recommended Mi Zarape to a guest, they would come back saying that they loved it. We love the 'Carne Asada', 'Fajitas' and the 'Queso Fundido'. The food is not greasy, the portions are nice and big, the staff is friendly (we have a 2 yeard old that can be pretty annoying sometimes :D ) and when you get the check... wow... that's it? The price is awesome. Another great thing is that the food always comes fast and we can always get tables as soon as we walk in. Perfect if you have impatient kids. read more

So I only have one knock on this place. There was a large group (35) of us so we were grateful to find a place that could accommodate all of us on a short notice. The server staff was good, kept drinks replenished as best they could with such a large group, and the food was above average for Mexican. I had the dinner combo 27 and it was good. Only thing that I am bringing it down was my wife ordered a special that included two chicken enchiladas and she wanted to sub in one cheese to replace one of the chickens. Orders come out and she is handed chicken and beef enchiladas. Server realizes mistake and takes it back. No problem. Comes back twenty minutes later and hands her again chicken and beef enchiladas. She was hungry so she just took it and ate it. If you take it back to make it right, bring back the correct thing? Only knock against the place, otherwise I thought it was a great value for good food. read more

The food here is really, really good. After living in the southwest for over 20 years I have eaten mucho Mexican food and so far this is among the best I've found in this area. My only complaint is the service can be very slow. The staff is extremely friendly but not very fast. If you want good Mexican food and are not in a hurry, I recommend Mi Zarape. read more

Went here with a group of people. The shrimp fajitas were $17 and they didn't even come out hot. I ordered the number 22 I think. Burrito, taco, and something called a taguato? The food was horrible. Nothing was hot. Everything was lukewarm and under seasoned. I ended up asking for more soft shells to finish my boyfriends fajitas. She took my plate away with 80% of the food left because I couldn't stomach it anymore. Then she charged us $1.79 for more soft shells. I didn't even eat my food yet I had to pay for the shells just so I wouldn't leave hungry. The waitress mixed up me and my friends food until I said something. The service was horrible. Never said thank you or anything. She barely even talked. Also we were waiting to pay for 10 minutes and then she finally took my card. It took her another 10 minutes to bring the checks back. I noticed that the receipt was printed at 7:00 and when I received the check the time was 7:08. What was she doing with our cards for 8 minutes?? Writing information down? SKETCHY. Also she didn't even hand us our checks back. She just set them in a pile on the side of the table and didn't even say thank you or anything. I paid $35 for cold garbage. Overall, worst service I have ever had. Never coming here again. Stopping by Taco Bell on the way home just so I can feel full tonight. read more

started out the night before seeing a concert in pontiac at mi zarape. my friend and her husband highly recommended it. the best re-purpose of an old crapplebees that i have ever been to. the margarita was good and not crappy premixed, the dos equis amber was flowing and on special sunday night. plenty of chips and a good salsa that was improved with a little hot sauce. there are so many options and combos of food to keep you happy. nothing was priced above 13 bucks i'm pretty sure. i chose boring fajitas, but they were really good. the tortillas were super soft and fluffy. we also had one of the nicest and most fun waiters i've had in a long time. he encouraged many more of our drinks. i will return mi zarape, you were tasty. love, juston read more

At best, this place is passable in the tex mex department. I am overly surprised by the amount of "amazing" reviews this place gets. I got some cheese nachos that looked like they came straight out of a bag with some canned liquid cheese poured on top. Everyone else that I ate with had no words of praise either. This is by far the best Mexican place I've been to in a very long time. Everything was fresh and tasty and prompt. I've been their twice now, and if it was just a little closer I'd be there all the time. Last time I went I had I think it was a fajita burrito, and it had this lovely sauce on it. They were a bit confused by my sister's need for vegan, but they accommodating that with no problem. Went here once for lunch from work, then took the family there after a couple of hours walking around Great Lakes Crossings. We were there on Tuesday evening, with my 3 kids 12 thru 3. Tacos have a big pile of meat thrown onto a small pile of tortillas (which have not been fried), no cilantro, no onions, no sauce. Good menu selection with good salsa, which is how I judge Mexican restaurants from the start. Never, and I mean NEVER, had a bad meal here. And, the service is always prompt and friendly. I enjoy the chimichanga (chicken) or the fajitas. A nice lil' beef taco on the side never hurts. The queso is delish as is the guacamole. The flavor is what really gets me. It literally gets me every times. It's my favorite Mexican food in this area. Keep up the great work, mi amigos! Came in for happy hour and a snack. They had a great margarita special and the salsa was tasty. We'll be back for a meal sometime!

Today was my first time dining here, and I was very pleased with my experience. The salsa that came with chips had just the right amount of heat, which is hard to achieve. The lunch chimichanga was just the right size and paired well with the sides that came with it. The service was timely and courteous, but not overbearing! And best of all, it was affordable! This restaurant is located next to 3 major hotels. My order was the T-bone steak which was cooked to perfection with Shrimps on top. The tortillas was warm and fresh. I also ordered a margarita that was made with top shelf liquor. Very good!! I would definitely come back again! read more
