Lisa butchered my hair... I originally told her I wanted a bleach weave and showed her a pic of what I wanted. She proceeded to tell me she has 20+ years of experience and bleach wasn't necessary she said she can achieve the color I want with a "highlift ash" so now not only do have a terrible hair cut which by the way i said take off as little as possible but the color isn't anywhere near what I had asked for! read more

This place I will say is quite expensive, BUT since they do a good job, I would definitely say it is worth it. My mom has been unhappy with the way her hair has been colored the last two times she's gotten her hair done, so for mother's day my grandma and I chipped in to get her hair done here. The person that she goes to is Angel. She takes her time and really gets my mom's hair done the way she likes it. She is much happier now. Also, I had had a bad hair cut recently and I was talking about it in passing, so in between doing my mom's hair, she evened up mine for me. SO nice! I will definitely be going back to her since my last hairstylist that I really liked got another job in another profession. I definitely recommend going here, especially to Angel! read more

When I first came into this salon in 2012, I was impressed by the stylish decor, and professionalism. I had been referred to Marnie by a friend, and am glad I was. She listens to my continuing desire to change my hair and makes recommendations that fit with what I want, yet keep me looking great in spite of myself :). Thought I had to go to Portland to find a good colorist but took a chance with this charming little salon and Milia Adair was absolute genius with my full highlights she used Olaplex that left my hair soft and un-damaged. I had previously bleached it 3 different times at home and it was white on top and dark at the bottom with gray tones, she fixed it all and turned me into a beautiful blonde before my wedding day and gave me a great haircut. Went to see Lisa for waxing. Used a groupon, 3 services for a decent discount. I got there waited over my start time. She came out and I was shocked. Her hair was currently being dyed purple? auburn? no cover. She had me change with her in the room. Had me redeem the services on Groupon, and handed me a business card with boxes to check for the other 2 services. She only did part of my services, and told me in the future other things would need to be done prior to my appointment. Additionally, cost was going to increase... she told me it was more to complete a Brazilian compared to the bikini wax. It was on the groupon as a choice... I opted for the Brazilian. She made comments about me and maintenance. Swore up a storm, and was completely unprofessional. Additionally, it didn't fell like she had used any analgesic balm to numb the pain. It was bad. I have had them before and it was never like that. I will not go back. read more

This one star is for the waxing service only. Lisa is not very good. The hairs in my area of waxing were not pulled out at the root so much as broken off at the surface, evidenced by the horrible regrowth and ingrown hairs that showed up 2 days later. I went in to get highlights put in, I explained to the stylist that I am VERY picky about how I want my hair to look and since I am new to Oregon, I have to try someone in order to get a stylist here. I told her I wanted a FULL set of blonde highlights (my hair is brunette) and I wanted more blonde on my hair than brown but that I still wanted to see a little brown so that way it was obvious highlights. I also did a cut and layer on my hair. She did amazing on my cut but I noticed that she was only doing the top part of my hair for the highlights. I reminded her while she was doing it that I want to have more blonde in my hair than brown and she acknowledged and said that it will be that way once she takes the foil out. She did the foil highlights and I sat under the dryer while she started on my daughters hair. Once I was dry she took me to get the foil out and wash my hair. I was noticing that there was not a lot of strands of blonde and brought it up to her and she said it will look better when it dries. I sat there while she did my daughters hair and, basically, drip dried. When she finally got back to me she completely dried my hair and I was not happy with how little I saw of my highlights. I told her that I requested more blonde and she said that it would take several visits to get more blonde. I only got a 1/2 head of highlights and have WAY more brown than blonde. Not only that, its been a week and a half and the color is already starting to fade back into my natural color. I am happy with the cut (the cheaper side of the cost) but will not be going back there again for a color and now looking for a stylist yet again. Very unhappy!! read more
