Every time we come here, we just sit and relax on the patio or in front of a window watching the golfers. Now, I golf, and in 'Summer of 26, on my week here, I will walk 9. A very nice pro shop! Clubs, putters, balls, clothing, and accessories. Reasonably priced too. Open almost year round - less the snow. Great restaurant too. Everything is fresh and delicious. Try the Caesar salad with anchovies. Very reasonably priced too. Very nice wait staff too; we had Zoey, easy on the eyes and very courteous. No negatives whatsoever. read more

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. From start to finish, until days after I had an awful experince. We arrived at 6:45PM for a 7:00PM reservation. We were sat right away which was about the only good thing about the night. Our server came up to us multiple times saying he would "be right back" and it was "busy". Being a server in the past, I like to give grace to servers but it was certainly not busy for a Nantucket restaurant, or any restaurant at all. By 730 we had only ordered our drinks and still had not put our dinner orders in. We then called over a manager for one of two reasons. The first being the crazy slow service and almost sitting there for 45 minutes ready to order and having no attention paid to us. The second being that a female in our party ordered a mocktail as she is 18 years old and was appointed the designated driver and was given an ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE. When taking sips for her supposide mocktail she stated her throat was on fire. This was from the rum in her drink. This is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. The manager took away the drink and told us we were "responsible" for letting her know as well as sent over our server to apologize for the delay. Our order was taken soon after and our food then came to us at 815ish, another 45 minutes from when we ordered. Again, not that busy. Our meals werent great. Steaks were undercooked, mashed potatoes seemed boxed, etc. Did we complain? No we did not beacuse of the fact we were absolutely famished from all our waiting and we werent previously met with any understanding and did not want to risk waiting any longer for sent back food. We asked for the bill and two deserts were sent over to our table assumingly for the crazy long time it took to order? Someone in our party has a sever nut allergy. The server told the table that the deserts were safe from allergens . This was far from true. Thankfully the female with the allergy is very aware and knew better than to eat an ice cream with Healthbar on top or a cheesecake/pie with coconut on top. This is a insanely serioud issue to get wrong. No one asked for these deserts and it did not make up for our experience in any way. The party called and complained afterwards and we were met with complete rudeness and unprofessionalism from both Shannon and Renne. I have never had an experince where a resturant manager will actually fight with a patron on the phone over their experince. When requesting to talk to the CFO, Nicole she did call me on July 30th. I unfortunately missed her call but have called her back 3 times since then with no call back or recognition. I am so disappointed in Miacomet and would not recommend wasting your money here. read more

We enjoyed a beautiful evening on the porch for dinner at Miacomet Restaurant. We had a reservation and were promptly seated any given menus. It was a wait before our server came to the table for our drink order followed by a few more delays with placing orders and times our food arrived. The food was so delicious. We all enjoyed an appetizer the arancini Two of us had the salmon dinner. It was so good. The others had the rib eye which was also cooked perfectly. The busing staff was friendly and efficient. I will definitely return here in the future. read more

Worst course I have ever played in my life. Impossible to get tee times. Absurdly expensive for greens that are worse than my local municipal course. Golf shop had a very negative attitude when I checked in. All around terrible experience. read more

We golfed at Miacomet earlier this month with a group of 9 people-8 white people and 1 black person. I was in the foursome with our black family member. Despite us waiting on the tee box at every hole for the group in front of us, the white ranger scolded us for holding up the pace of play and then escorted us for several holes. Our other 2 groups who were immediately in front of us and immediately behind us reported that the ranger was friendly and cordial to them. If you aren't a racist, I would skip Miacomet (and Nantucket entirely). read more

First-time diners here and we were Not disappointed! Excellent service [Thanks, Quinn!] and the food was as good as any on-island restaurant. Swordfish and salmon dishes were exemplary, though I'd back off a bit on the salt. Chocolate dessert was very good and ample for 2 people. Drinks also top notch. Food is great! Course is beautiful and challenging. However, they only offer tee times online and it's an absolute joke. The tee times post one week in advance at 8pm. I've set alarms every day for the last two weeks and have been unable to secure a tee time. The website glitches, passwords aren't accepted so every time they need to be changed and in the 3 minutes it takes to log in EVERY TEE TIME IS UNAVAILABLE. Every other course I've ever played takes phone in reservations months in advance. It's only possible to play this course from October to May. read more

Played in October and course was in immaculate condition. Tournament-quality greens. Not the most memorable course but very fun, enjoyable layout and would strongly recommend to anyone. Exceeded expectations. Wouldn't want to pay full price in the summer (rephrase: absolutely would NOT pay full price). But for $70 and the great condition in the fall, hard to complain. read more

We booked a tee time on a Monday for Tuesday @4pm; start of the cheaper rate. We arrived at 320pm. When we pulled up we saw about 40 high school golf players on the putting green and driving range. the starter did not let us go out early even though he knew there were going to be 40 varsity and junior varsity golfers(many inexperienced) on the course in front of us. The starter let us go off the back nine @4pm. We finished the first 9 in less than 90 minutes. We then went over to the front nine , first 3 holes we moved along - and then we had all the JV golfers in front of us. Foursomes and fivesomes playing; taking forever. We tried to go on another front nine holes - they were all clogged up. I think it is great having young people get into the game of golf but we should have been told when we made the tee time in person on Monday about the 40 high school players going out at approx. the same time as us - give us the option to rebook for another day . When we checked in at 320pm in the pro shop nothing was said to us either about the 40 players teeing off the same time as us. The course was in great shape - we just would have appreciated some communication and hospitality to be extended to us. No one at the course was friendly except for someone from the kitchen who was in the parking lot dumping some water out of a bucket as we left; she said hi. we bought shirts in the pro shop too - so we spent well over $200. for a disappointing experience. read more
