Silvia is great. I went to her while in a bad bout of stress and insomnia. She took the time to ask me about my symptoms before we started. I was impressed with how well she listened and the types of questions she asked. After the initial consultation, she performed acupuncture on me and targeted the points that are best for relaxation and sleep. She also came into check on me a few times to make sure the treatment was working. Even though I bought a Groupon for 30 min sessions, she saw that I was in bad shape and kept me there a few minutes longer since I was her last client of the day. That's the level of dedication to her clients that Silvia has. I left there feeling much more relaxed and slept peacefully that night. Since then I've been going back regularly and feel great every time I do. I highly recommend Silvia if you're looking for a seasoned acupuncturist who puts her clients first. read more

I have been coming to Sylvia at Miami Beach Acupuncture for the last 6 months and I couldn't be happier! I came in for stress, anxiety, depression and back issues. General: - clean, it's a medical office like setting - professional, very much like a coming to a doctor - cause it's like a doctor office setting - makes you feel safe and comfortable that you are getting a good treatment. - Silvia is very nice, sweet, comforting person - It seems like she knows what she is doing exactly, so gives you the comfort "you're in right hands" - no water cooler:) so bring your own water if you get thirsty easily - nice/clean reception area where you can wait for the appointment if needed. - easy to make an appointment, just call. - good location. Why only 3 stars? well, i was debating between 3 and 4... at first i wanted to give it 4 stars,,, but then changed my mind to 3. Reason is - i found an article where Silvia talks about how she does valuation of "what parts of the body need attention".... well, i didn't have that experience. I do not have any particular physical pain or injury, I really wanted for someone to evaluate my overall health, as recently I get colds often, and had lots of stress, - so i feel that my immune system is down and I wanted for someone to evaluate my body condition and tell me what needs more attention. I didn't get that evaluation... nor she took her time to explain what is that exactly that she is doing, except for "balancing treatment" is all she said. I was looking for her to evaluate me and tell me something along the lines "i think this is what needs to be done based on my evaluation, this is how i would treat you, and today we will start with this xyz treatment which supposed to improve abc.."... Instead, i got acupuncture "balancing treatment" what is? and why she picked it for me? - well, i didn't get explanation, so no clue. Why I wanted to leave 4 stars? I am sensing (intuition) Silvia knows what is she doing and can definitely help. Yet, maybe, she is not very good with communicating? not everyone has good verbal/communication skills to express themselves..... Suggestion? - If you have a specific concern, aka my knee is in pain or my neck is in pain - I'm pretty sure Silvia will be able to assist with that and you will be happy... - If you are like me - who wants an evaluation of your entire system and improve your healthy in general - i'm not so sure.... Overall: I am not sure if i go back... I might.. and maybe i will upgrade/update/ my review.. so stay put:), if i do go back to Silvia, i'll be updating my review! :) read more
