I had a very disappointing and misleading experience at Arviv. I was sold a "full face" Ultherapy treatment at 50% off, which sounded like a great deal. However, what I received was far from what was promised. When I arrived, I had just come from the gym, and no one even offered me water. I asked for a coffee, and it was never brought. I was left waiting for the PA ( Tyana), and when she finally arrived, I honestly felt like I had more knowledge about the treatment than she did. No one offered me a robe or a chance to change out of my sweaty clothes. I was placed on a bed for about two hours without even a pillow under my knees, and now I'm dealing with back pain because of it. The most upsetting part is that I ended up paying for a full-face Ultherapy treatment, but they only worked on my jawline and slightly touched my eyebrows. That is NOT a full-face treatment. When I called to complain, the manager, Margarita, insisted they were completely right and claimed that what I received was "full face." After speaking with my plastic surgeon, I confirmed that a true full-face Ultherapy treatment should include cheeks, forehead, jawline, and chin. What makes this even worse is the inconsistency. First, they strongly insisted that I pay for and receive a full-face treatment. I even sent photos showing that they were wrong. Then, in an email, they suddenly stated they would refund me $180 because I only received a lower face treatment. Now I am even more confused, so which is it? Is it really acceptable to charge $1,470 for just a jawline treatment? This contradiction only confirms that they misrepresented the service from the beginning. Overall, this place is extremely unprofessional, not only in the service itself but in how they handle a dissatisfied client. I felt deceived, dismissed, and poorly treated. I would not recommend this place to anyone considering Ultherapy. Be very careful with their promotions; they are misleading and not trustworthy. read more

I want to share my experience with Arviv clinic. I purchased a CoolSculpting session via Groupon for a single area, but upon arrival, I was told I needed to pay an extra $600 for the stomach area and that it would count as two areas. I ended up paying $1,200 for just one cycle and was pressured to pay another $1,200 for a follow-up session, with warnings that I wouldn't see results otherwise. Having previously undergone this treatment at another clinic, this was the first time I faced such charges. I do not recommend your clinic, as the initial pricing seems misleading. I am a 41 year old male and I previously received excellent Botox from a talented physician at UM's Dept of Dermatology and Plastic Surgery. However, I was tempted to cheat on them with Arviv Medical Aesthetics after I came across a Groupon for 20 units of Botox for a great promotional price per unit. I soon learned this would be a mistake. My experience at Arviv left me feeling a bit uneasy to put it politely. When I met with the Arviv nurse practitioner, I stated what great Botox I received previously from UM and how they only gave me very light Botox ("baby Botox"). I then handed her my electronic medical record to view which showed the exact distributions they used and which I had been very satisfied with. To my surprise, the NP went off on an extended rant about how "there's no such thing as baby botox! People come in here asking for that and it doesn't exist!" My UM doctor (who received his medical education from NYU and Columbia) had given me only 32 units for glabella, forehead, and crows feet. He had been clear I needed on very minimal injections. However, the Arviv NP insisted I needed at least 60 if not more and expressed disbelief that my previous botox lasted several months. This struck me as a deceptive gaslighting tactic to get me to be self conscious and buy way more units than I needed. Turned off by her aggressive sales pitch, I decided to stick with the 20 units I purchased through my Groupon to save my wallet snd face some grief. I was thankfully able to get her to follow the UM doctor's directions for my glabella and forehead, but she was pouty about it. She left me with some light bruising on my forehead which cleared up in a few days. Two weeks out, my results look totally fine, as I knew they would with that dosage. Overall, I got the distinct impression that Arviv puts the upsale ahead of patient satisfaction or needs. Aggressive upselling of more neurotoxin doses than a patient wants or needs seems like an ethical issue to me. Am I satisfied with the results of my Botox? Yes. Would I go back to Arviv for more? No. I just don't trust that they have my best interest at heart. read more

This is the most pathetic place I ever attended. I never saw/met an esthetician whose skin have such sick layer of grease that it looks like soap and water or face powder do not exist in her world. Coming from Groupon, to discover new place and benefit a promotion is a bad idea here. To start, the "esthetician" advise me to pay extra $100 over the price of Groupon to have good results. And I agreed although it was a regular Botox procedure that requires 20 ml of Botox only (in all the places I visited previously). So I left $300 there and came back home with a huge bruise on my face. For 2 weeks I did not see much changes and I had to come back and ask to correct the job since I still had plenty of wrinkles. It turned out that I had to pay for the correction extra. Any place would correct it for free simply adding a little Botox in necessary area. In Arviv they want to to pay again. And they claim that I was warn about "no free retouch" policy. The esthetician also told me that she said at the beginning that I would need way more Botox. ? Don't remember it. And how many units one need to correct crows feet? 10-12, no? Not in Arviv. Here they want you to pay double. Avoid this place if you do not want to find yourself ending up with bickering esthetician who either does not know how to dilute botox properly or how to inject it correctly. I went for a facial peel. My face never peeled and my credit card was charged $355.00 on April 18, 2023. I was taking pictures and recordings daily as supporting documentation. I.tried contacting the manager and she never responded to my texts or messages with the front desk. Finally I just showed up and she agreed to send me an email confirming store credit for other services This email was never received. I later contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute. Arviv responded not admitting she promised a full store credit So I printed all the daily supporting documentation with a letter to my credit card company followed by phone calls. I will file in small claims court if nessesary. I will fight them to the end. They give black clients horrible experience so that black person will not return. read more

I went to have my permanent eyeliner removed and was very nervous about the level of pain. Nadia (hopefully I have the name correct) put me right at ease. Her assistant was equally reassuring throughout the whole procedure. After some numbing eyedrops she inserted eye shields which was painless. She then proceeded to do the laser treatment. While it was definitely uncomfortable, it was over quickly and turned out to be less painful than I anticipated. My eyes were swollen and it felt like a sunburn for a few hours, but it was tolerable. I do not recommend this place at all. It's is a complete scam! As far as the lasers go. I wanted whole face co2 laser therapy I went to another consultation and they didn't want to do it because of they said it would be at least 30 days down time that they recommend partial face and that my scars weren't too severe with my skin type I would see dramatic results after the treatment and they showed me realistic photos of before and after from other patients with my similar skin type to give me a idea of what results would be like. My child's father had his tattoos removed there also it took one session. I go in today for a consultation in Araiv it was a completely different experience. I was seated in the lobby with water and I heard a lady complaining about being wrongfully charged on her membership. They call me to the back take a few photos of my face. They walk to to the room to wait and the nurse walks in and begins showing me what day one through day 5 looks like on another girl that I had no idea what her skin looked like before or after and I asked her could she show me the before and after pictures of the girl and she said no because I am different and may have different results she said she recommended for me to have a dual treatment that's what I would see the price. She could not tell me how many treatments I would need to produce results but they always recommend at least three and the treatment is 1500 each. 4,500 and they can't even promise I'll have results. While she is talking and I am in disbelief I'm looking at the tv of their tattoo removal and it's showing how the tattoo is barley faded after each of these several treatments and I'm thinking of my child's father one and done on that service so I asked her are there different types of laser are you using one that's weaker or not going deep as the other place or what? She told me all lasers where the same just different doctors have different recommendations for their patients. That the consultation would be 100$ and I asked her I give you 100$ right now and then I see the doctor and he tells me how many treatments it will take to get the results I want or if I'm unable to achieve that then show me an example of someone with a skin type like mine results. She told me she was the nurse practitioner and she just told me what she recommended which is that I need 3 treatments minimum and I need to add a different laser in between that was 850$ to achieve better results. I have had other procedures breast augmentation, breast lift, facial injections etc! Never have I felt a place that tried so hard to convince me to spend thousands of dollars on something that they can even show me idea of what my results may be. I know individual results vary and the laser is not a miracle maker but I want to at least see some type of results with that kind of money. read more
