Bites-On-Wheels is a small food truck/ food stand in the growing food truck community in Miami…read more What differentiates his food from the rest is that he sells ceviche, beef hot dog, and smoked sausage. He also makes, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and wraps. On first visit, which won't be my last, I tried the smoked sausage and the ceviche taco. The first thing I ate was the ceviche taco which was outstanding. The taco was big and it had fish, shrimp, with lettuces, onions, and topped with a mango habanero sauce. Hmmmm. It was really good. The ceviche itself was good. It was citrusy, sweet, and had big chunks of fish. The mango habanero took it over the top with a spicy kick. I am hooked on that and might just get a cup of ceviche by itself next time. When I ordered the sausage the cook asked me "if I was hungry?,'" as he took out the long, large smoked sausage and put it on the griddle while smirking. It smelled fantastic while i waited for my food. He put an NYC onion & tomato relish sauce with the sausage on the hoagie roll and topped it with potato sticks. There was a nice snap from casing of the sausage and a crunch from the potato sticks. The relish added a nice sweetness that contrasted the smokiness of the sausage. The sausage comes with a bag of chips and all for $4. What a great deal. The owner told me he will also serve dinner in the Shell Gas station on 117th and Kendall, where Ale House is, once he gets a generator to power his lights on his truck. I am a big fan and can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Come support Bites-On-Wheels. I'm sure you will enjoy the food.
