If you've ever gone to one those wine tastings as conducted by certified sommeliers, you soon learn…read morehow complicated and expensive wines can become. Like I mean in $80 plus a bottle and being told that the wine I'm tasting has a nose of blackberry with undertone hints of peach; none of which I have ever been able to truly discern. So it was a joy for me to stop by The Simple Wine shop where I was given the opportunity to try several not to be found elsewhere wines and also to purchase a couple of bottles for myself. The Simple Wine had wines I've never seen before and a few I've never even heard of previously. So, I became completely fascinated in trying these new flavors and tastes as well as some that were familiar. The selection of Italian wines was amazing as they mostly came from small craft vineyards as in the type that would only supply a few select restaurants, but because of their limited capacity, not something like the big box wine chains such as Total Wines. Having spent considerable time in in the smaller country like regions of Italy, I quickly learned that I never had to purchase a bottle of wine as any restaurant house wines were the equal if not superior to any I'd find in a retail bottle. The secret behind it was that these restaurants were supplied by the small craft like vineyards. So finding out that I can now obtain these regional Italian wines from smaller craft vineyards is a real delight and a big money saver too as most of his prices seemed to have run between $15 to $25 dollars.

The store front is inside the building, I had to call and reach the gentleman via phone as he had briefly stepped out and came to let me in within minutes. They also deliver locally and can ship wine wherever you need it to go, you do not have to order a case for shipping and can chose single bottles. Let him know what you want and he will chose something wonderful curated to your taste. I highly recommend!

To our surprise, when we walked in, it was more of a mead tasting bar--and, by the way, they also sell honey. It just so happens that my husband and I love tastings, and mead was new to us. Casaundra took us on a mead journey through the entire menu, from dry to sweet to distilled spirits and even a coffee blend! It costs around $21 to try the entire menu, totally worth it! I did the $10 option and my husband went through them all. We had a blast and went home with some mead and tons of honey. Thank you Casaundra. You're the best!! We had blast.

We both love getting some of that sweet authentic goodness, and we had the time to we veered over here while on the way to Hobo's cafe. I'm so glad we checked it out. I came for honey, what I got was a viking bar stacked with mead! This place is awesome. Very laid back mead tasting bar. I got to sample the whole menu for around $21-22. There's dry, sweet, coffee, and a number of harder spirits too, all made from honey! They make it in house and are a huge, successful distributor. Casaundra took us on an excellent mead adventure. So much fun, thank you! We ended it by taking home lots of honey and a few bottles of mead. Skål!

Fantastic place, fantastic owner, fantastic Mead!!!…read more I can't speak highly enough about this very cool place. They make all their own mead and it is all delicious. They owner was out bartender and he was a wealth of information. He was so helpful and friendly helping us make our choices. We tried 12 different flavors and even took a bottle home with us. Summer are sweeter than others, but all are wonderfully designed and brewed. I will definitely be back.

As a fan of fruity alcoholic beverages I have always been curious about Brewlihan Mead. I only…read morepreviously had mead at the Renaissance Fair. I finally got the chance to check them out one afternoon when I was in the area. Brewlihan Mead is a 1,700-square-foot mead house and tasting room owned by John and Stacey Hoolihan. John had a background in science education and started out brewing as a hobby. What turned into a passion became a business. Brewlihan Mead is the first commercial meadery in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Mead, sometimes called honey wine is an alcoholic beverage made from three ingredients: fermented honey, water and yeast. It is the first alcoholic beverage consumed by mankind and is believed to predate wine by nearly three thousand years. Since the taste of honey can vary by region, mead can have a diverse and complex flavor profile. To make the mead at Brewlihan, the water, yeast and honey is placed in fermentation tanks with fruit and then aged in oak barrels for 2 to 5 months. You can take your mead to go in cans or they have a nice bar inside the tap room where you can enjoy your drink. I took my mead home and while I enjoyed all of it, my favorite was Winter in So Fla which truly evoked the tropical feel of a winter in Florida. Mead is a great alone or as a pairing to a meal. If you are a mead enthusiast they have memberships for $300 with a host of benefits listed on their website. Whether a casual or refined drinker of mead, you are sure to find something unique and delicious here. John and Stacy are so warm and friendly and this is the kind of science I really enjoy.

I cannot speak to the quality of their product because they have yet to deliver anything. They…read morerequired payment for the majority of the project upfront (in January ) and were supposed to have finished installation already but have blamed delays on everything from covid, to receiving the wrong refrigeration unit, to not being able to schedule an AC tech to install the unit ... all of this which needs to come before they install the racks. They even said they would come out and just never showed upS. My GC cannot get through to them. My husband has tried calling, emailing, texting and they have been fully unresponsive for the last 2 weeks (even Jake who is supposed to be the owner). I will update my experience if they ever deliver but so far I would say to stay away!!! I am preparing to take legal action

Buyer Beware! I don't even know where to start. They kept…read moresaying they would come out "next week, next week, next week". It took 6 months to get them to focus on our job. And this was with a large contractor who has used them numerous times, contacting them weekly. If you are an individueal, GOOD LUCK getting them to your house! Then the work was shoddy. Where the header met the ceiling it was sagging on one side. To correct it, it would have meant taking all the glass out because they didn't fix the sag before installing the glass. Due to the rework, they basically said "it is what it is". My contractor had to create a decorative rim around the top to hide the sagging. The unexcuseable thing that happened is their electrician drilled a hole in the beautiful real walnut header to get to some wires because he didn't run them long enough to reach the light strip. He distroyed the look of a $32,000 wine wall. See photos. He also scratched the walnut in multiple places when installing the light strip. Such disregard for our house. I recognize that everyone is busy during this time but once on site, I expect quality and not shortcuts. The lower light strip doesn't even work anymore but I DO NOT want them anywhere near my home.
