I thoroughly enjoyed both of the trips. The bus on the trip to Key West was not as comfortable as the brand new seeming double-decker bus that took us to the Everglades but all in all it was an excellent experience that both my daughters and I really enjoyed ourselves. The bus driver was EXCELLENT on the way to the Everglades and back. He acted as our guide while we were there at Everglades Holiday Park. He was super helpful and kind going the extra mile to make sure my kids and I were able to get our pictures retaken and picked up after a technical glitch on the parks side. The trip to Key West was also staffed by some incredibly helpful and polite people. Our tour guide was Thamara and SHE WAS WONDERFUL!!! Super helpful, super knowledgeable, super attenuative, super polite and she spoke 3-4 languages. I was so impressed by her professionalism. I read through the other review and have to admit, if there were issues before with this company, they have fixed them. I had a flawless and amazingly fun experience with them. I was eager to check out Funky Buddha and Wynwood Brewing Company as I have had their beers in different places around town but never actually been to their brew sites. Unfortunately, there were a couple things that turned me off. Our tour didn't begin until one hour after we were told to arrive because the bus wasn't there. This was a little annoying as I could only wait around Lokal for so long and my boyfriend started getting grumpy... On top of that, there was a rowdy group of about 8 who showed up for the tour already a few drinks in and they continued to drink more on the bus and beyond. Made the atmosphere feel more like a college pub crawl than a city brewery tour. All that aside, our guides were as nice and can be and I loved getting an inside look at the two breweries and tasting all along the way. You drink plenty and it's worth the $60 price tag even without the Groupon. I'd encourage locals and tourists alike to take it. Pretty soon, they'll be adding MIA Brewing Co to the mix which I'm certain will be a great addition.

We were able to find a spot directly across from the ship. For $20 a day, it was worth it to just get out of and back into the car after you arrive home. From where I live it would have been about the same to rent a cab so it worked for us. The ship itself... -Made in the early 1990s, and you can see it from the neon style lights in the atrium. The ship still looks pretty damn good for being a bit older than most. -Our cabin was an interior one around the U180's. (Deck 6, toward the back.) We felt a bit of rocking but not much. We did feel the engine vibrate and the ship rock when pulling into and out of port. -Lots of things to do! Comedy show was hilarious and the Motown show was cute! If you miss certain events, they will rebroadcast them on the TV later. This is good to watch when you're hiding from the sun in your room for a bit! -Casino and the dealers were fun as well! The food... -Overall I give it 3 stars. Some stuff was amazing and some stuff was more like cafeteria food. -The lido deck buffet was definitely more cafeteria style. My friend and I always found something we liked but nothing was "wow" there. -Dining room had better quality food for sure! I would recommend eating there over the buffet. While exploring Little Havana, we sampled freshly made tropical juices at El Palacio De Los Jugos (don't miss the guanábana), and Cuban coffee at El Pub. As we walked along the famed Rooster Walk, we visited a family-owned cigar shop (Cuba Tobacco Cigar Co.), a Cuban shirt shop (D Asis Guayaberas - the owner is quite the character!), the famous Domino Park, and Cubaocho (home of the old Frank Sinatra bar's furnishings and an amazing art collection), where we were treated to live Cuban music. We then visited several other historically significant sites, including the Ermita de la Caridad. Our guide's stories and personal relationships with the folks we met along the way made this a one-of-a-kind experience.

A bucket list trip through the Panama Canal... worthy of my 700th review. My late partner, and I…read moreloved to cruise a lot, and we have always been "loyal to royal." This trip was 13 days, from San Diego to Miami. The serenade is one of Royal Caribbean's smaller ships, and while I do like the bigger ships with all of their bells and whistles, these size ships are my favorite. Small, but with enough to do, this is how cruising used to be. Only 2000 or so passengers on the ship, plus the crew of a around 1000. There was a good ratio... The meals were excellent. In addition to smaller venues, like snack bars, they have the buffet, the main dining room, as well as an Italian restaurant, steakhouse, and Japanese place. You pay for the premium restaurants, but if you book them before your cruise, you can get very decent prices on the premium places. The activities were great. There was a gym, a rock, climbing wall, a mini golf course, a single waterslide, and activities for the kids, although this cruise, the passengers skewed older. There were only about 30 kids on our cruise. If you cruise on the bigger ships, especially when school is out, you will experience quite a few more kids. That's another advantage of being on one of the smaller ships. There were also activities ranging from enrichment, talks, trivia, karaoke, game shows, a bellyflop contest in the pool, etc. Again, the great thing is, you can do as much or as little as you want. The staff was very good at setting up the activities . The shows in the ship's showroom were great, from comedians to variety shows. My favorite had to be the Motown review My favorite gameshow, , and the favorite of a lot of people, is Royal's adult themed game show, "the crazy quest." it's 18 and above, and while some people call it "X-rated", I wouldn't go that far, I would just say it can get a bit bawdy. Check it out on YouTube. All of the ports were great, but The star of the cruise was definitely the Panama Canal! It's amazing. You enter the canal at sea level, and head into a lock, which is basically a "water elevator". The ship is raised up to the level of the lake in the middle of the canal, you go through the lake, then when you get to the other end, you go back into another set of locks that lower you back down to sea level. It's an amazing feet of engineering. I did have to go to the medical facility, because I broke a crown, and it developed into an abscess. The medical facility took extremely good care of me. They put me on an antibiotic IV, and had me come in the next two days for another IV each day, and for follow up. They sent me to a doctor and a dentist once we got to our first port of Puerto Vallarta. It's not cheap. Three days worth of care cost me roughly $1000, plus the cost of the doctor and the dentist in Mexico. My personal insurance didn't cover it, as most won't, but that's why I always get travel insurance, which did cover it. My travel insurance company. (Generali) had my claim approved and paid before the cruise was even over. There was also a norovirus outbreak on the ship, but it only affected 100 out of 3000 people, passengers and crew. The medical department gave them free medical care, and while they were quarantined, they got free room service Also, the ship immediately went into deep cleaning, including bringing in people like lifeguards and people from the engine room to serve in the buffet, so people didn't have to get their own food. Even the people that got sick said that Royal handled it very well. The only reason I'm taking off of a star, was baggage claim was very disorganized, I believe it was because of the outbreak. Usually, baggage claim with is a piece of cake. I will give them a break this time, because this is the very first time, I had a problem. Overall, it was an amazing cruise.

The ship was built in 1999 and at the time was the largest ship in the fleet. 10 years later it is still in good shape and among the biggest. The ship has the standard experiences most other cruises over: a casino, entertaining shows, activities, multiple locations to pick up a drink and clubs to dance the night away. Unlike other ships I have been on, Voyager of the Seas also has a large rock climbing wall, in-line skating, a 9 hole mini golf course, and an ice skating rink. Dining options include the traditional 6:30 and 9:00 dinner times, a My-Time option allowing guests to make reservations and eat whenever they choose, a Johnny Rockets, the Windjammer Café, an Irish bar and a sports bar. One thing I appreciated was the Vitality icon on the menu showing healthy food options. This icon also appeared on the excursion pamphlet showing customers tour options that provided healthier options. I did visit Johnny Rockets once - there is a $4.95 per person charge, but that includes any sandwich, an un-ending order of 1/2 fries, 1/2 onion rings. Sodas and shakes are extra. The Windjammer provided a large selection of food, but it was typical buffet food that is okay, but often lacks flavor. The dining room was great in appearance and the staff was excellent. The food again was mediocre. There were plenty of options including vegetarian, Indian, vitality and a few meatier choices, but nothing I had really blew my skirt. The tours were very good and priced competitively to other companies I have sailed with before. I took in a few of the shows and found the Cruise Director, Mercedes LaFuenta, to be very good. There were always options to be entertained and active either with an excursion or staying on the boat. A two floor library was located on levels 7-8 for those who wanted to check out a book and spend an afternoon on a deck chair. The fitness center rivaled my local gym and included several treadmills, weigh machines, elliptical and extra cost options for cycling & yoga. There was never a wait to get to a machine. I did not use the spa or sauna services, but they are available. The stops on the vacation were all amazing: Barcelona, Spain; Naples, Capri, Italy; Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy; Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Italy; Villefranche (Nice), France; Provence (Toulon), France; Barcelona, Spain. Each excursion that I booked was lead by knowledgable and friendly local tour guides and provided a good experience. The speakers in the dining room are poor and need improvement. The only other thing I would change is the food. It was good, but not memorable.
