The four courses offered at $60.00 per person was much more than I expected. I could've easily just had just one appetizer, the Hamachi Yuzu and one entree, the Miso Block Cod and be content, as each were prepared perfectly. But we were showered with a ton of options. We mixed and matched the available Prix Fixe choices, that turned out to be an abundant eight course culinary experience. Everything we tasted...perfect! Azabu's wonderful fine dining experience, warm hospitality, quality meals, perfect synchronized service and sophisticated ambiance remains top notch. As long as their service continues to remain the same, Azabu will always be a staple while visiting Miami Beach.

The bartender, Gio, was super nice and knowledgeable. The restaurant is very nice with ample seating at tables and the bar. I ordered a Prosecco that came with a plum Japanese liquor. For food we ordered the spicy tuna roll (so good!), the Brussels sprouts with a side of rice - fresh and flavorful, miso eggplant (great portion, fresh and tasty), the salad - it came with dehydrated veggies. The salad was crunch and tasty. The hamachi which was quite fresh. We ended the meal with the flourless chocolate dessert and it was so good! Can't wait to come back here again! They have a great dinner and happy hour menu.

While visiting Miami Beach, I had one goal: eat at least one restaurant recognized by the Michelin…read moreGuide. After dinner at Macchialina, I can confidently say I chose wisely. Italian restaurants often talk about simplicity, tradition, and technique. Macchialina backs up those claims with execution. You can certainly order à la carte, but I would strongly encourage first-time visitors to consider the chef's tasting menu. At $75 before wine pairings, it feels almost suspiciously underpriced. By the end of the meal, I wasn't wondering whether it was worth the money. I was wondering how they weren't charging more. The first course arrived as a trio. Creamy polenta with mushrooms, onions, and chives, broccoli rabe topped with toasted breadcrumbs and a soft-boiled egg, and a savory pastry filled with sliced pork and a rich sauce. All three were excellent, but the polenta was the dish that immediately demanded attention. I've had a lot of polenta over the years. Very little of it has approached this texture. It was impossibly smooth, somewhere between polenta and a luxurious puree. Combined with the mushrooms and broth, it delivered a deep, earthy blast of umami that lingered long after the bowl was empty. The second course showcased three pasta dishes. Macchialina's signature cavatelli with veal meatballs, porchetta, and pecorino, agnolotti stuffed with ricotta in brown butter sauce, and a classic cacio e pepe. Choosing a favorite felt unfair. The cavatelli delivered hearty comfort and deeply savory flavors, thanks in large part to the tender veal meatballs. The agnolotti burst with creamy ricotta filling in every bite. The cacio e pepe served as a reminder that great ingredients and proper technique rarely need embellishment. For the third course, a veal Milanese arrived perfectly fried and topped with arugula, concentrated tomatoes, and Parmigiano Reggiano. A grilled lemon accompanied the plate for a final squeeze of brightness. Halfway through the dish, I found myself thinking a touch of balsamic might improve things. Then I caught one of the concentrated tomatoes in a bite and immediately abandoned that thought. The tomatoes provided exactly the acidity and sweetness the dish needed. Nothing more was required. Dessert sealed the deal. Bread pudding made from Sullivan Street brioche, banana, hazelnut crumble, and bitter chocolate. It was paired with vanilla ice cream, and drizzled with caramel sauce. It was rich without becoming heavy, sweet without becoming cloying. The slight bitterness from the chocolate kept everything balanced. It ranks among the best bread puddings I've eaten. Technically, the tasting menu is four courses. In reality, it delivers eight thoughtfully prepared dishes that showcase the kitchen's range, creativity, and restraint. For diners curious about tasting menus but hesitant to jump into a multi-hundred-dollar fine dining experience, Macchialina offers one of the best entry points I've encountered. It feels approachable, generous, and remarkably polished. Some tasting menus leave you impressed. The best ones leave you planning your next visit before you've even paid the check. Macchialina belongs firmly in the second category.

We figured it would be the perfect place to eat because we could check out the "library of us installment" after dinner, which I'm glad we did because it was really cool! We sat outside and it was great because we were overlooking the art Basel party that was happening down in the courtyard. The smells alone are enough to make you drool, everything smelled phenomenal! We started off with the toro sushi which you can't go wrong with, so rich and flavorful. The grilled duck and braised greens were phenomenal!

Some of them were too salty and hard to finish. We ordered a selection of dishes and shared it family-style between 5 people but nothing really stood out much to me. The presentation was top notch and service was phenomenal. I forget the server's name who took care of us but kept telling myself that she was just so amazing at her job. A very sweet pastry chef named Hannah surprised my dad with a greeting in his native language on the cake. She came out to meet us and we had a pleasant conversation with her. The desserts were all divine. Every item was flawlessly created and perfectly balanced. Our reservations fell on a Tuesday night and we were seated at the back so the atmosphere was just right - not too noisy or overstimulating at all. Valet parking was quick and convenient. Catch is my favorite and it continues to impress me each time I go there! The service is exceptional! No restaurant does service like catch! The waiters and Sandra ( the gm) go above and beyond for their customers. Everything I order here I love! My favorites are: CATCH ROLL, TRUFFLE SASHIMI, MISO GLAZED SEA BASS, CENTER-CUT FILET, TRUFFLE MUSHROOM SPAGHETTI, BAKED KING CRAB HAND ROLL ! The bartender (Alma if I recall correctly) absolutely made my night with incredible menu guidance for my first visit and the perfect amount of chatting. I had the Catch roll, salmon entree, and the basmati rice side, along with a beer and glass of wine. The rice and salmon were some of the best food I've ever had! Nothing against the Catch roll, but the others were standouts. I loved the environment and would certainly go back, whether at the bar or a table. Pricing seems reasonable and is well worth it for how good everything was. I walked out at $115 solo and had no issue that. Note there is a 20% service charge included, as seems standard for most places in the area. They do a good job offering sensible tip amounts if you want to add more, at 3, 5, and 7/8% on top. It's a nice place to get dressed up and have a quality dinner. 100% recommended. You'll have a great experience.

So many people hate on this spot. But as someone who enjoys a chicken BBQ skewer and garlic fried…read morerice... this is the spot for me! There isn't any Filipino spots in Miami for real so this is the only place that I could find in Wynwood. I don't get why people say that this spot is far from Filipino food when it is obviously supposed to show Filipino food in a creative way and showcase street food too... But I'm glad I experienced it for myself and enjoyed my time. The chicken BBQ skewers tasted exactly how it was supposed to. So I know it was marinated appropriately and cased with banana ketchup!!!! I appreciate the chicken lumpia option. Not many people serve lumpia options that aren't beef or pork... so that definitely won me over too. My only complaint was that the beef tapas was not hitting the way it was supposed to. It was giving more of a bistek feel than tapas. I hope that I just caught them on a bad day or that they can refine that recipe. I'm hopeful that it can improve. ALSO -- really loved that Jamaican tea they have. Forgot the exact name of it. But I could drink gallons of it. Lol.

The extra spicy vinegar I ordered on the side wasn't spicy at all. The veg carrots and tomato sorta didn't blend all that well and the garlic rice was just there. The idea of the bowl is good but execution in flavors just wasn't there for me. I'd rather have gone to fresh kitchen.
