Had a great tine on this tour. There were four of us and a tour guide. The tour guide was very friendly and helpful. The jet skis were all in very good condition. The tour took us by Fisher Island. We stopped in a sand bar and hit in the water for a bit. It lasted an hour and was well worth the money. Will definitely be going again. read more

This was bay far my favorite part of my weekend getaway!! I got the opportunity to ride my own ski after passing the little exam you need to complete. This was awesome!! There is a little sand barge you get to go stand on and take photos and there we saw a huge hermit crab and a sea urchin. Terrible place. Bought it on Groupon and booked my reservation at noon. On the confirmation email it told us to arrive half an hour early to do paperwork so we did. We were the first group to get there. There were 4 more groups after us and we waited for 50 minutes without anyone showing up. Not a bad place, but the instructor seems like he's always in a rush. My boyfriend and I came here while on vacation in Miami Downtown. Neither of us have been jet skiing and we thought this would be a fun activity to do during the summer. We arrived 20 minutes early because we didn't have a boating license. We paid $6 to take the test. It was much easier than expected. He gave us a study guide that literally had all the answers on it. You can take as long as you want, but you have to give the guide back before taking the exam. Exam is 25 questions, you need to get 19 correct. Good news is that once you pass, you can use your boating license for a year in any US state. It gets fun when you're in the water. Our instructor was very good, he was patient with us, but he picked up the pace quickly. It got pretty scary pretty quickly for me. Jet skis go super quick, 60 mph is lightening fast and when you hit waves, it gets crazy. I was airborne about 10 times during the 1 hour ride and I feared for my life each time. It wasn't just a quick second in the air. Keep in mind you're not in a small square space, you're actually out in the water with other jet skiers and other boats. My only real gripe was that the instructor came off as standoffish at times. One minute he would be patient and the next he was telling us we needed to hurry up. It was the way he said it that really struck a cord. There's a polite way to convey that you're in a time crunch and then there's his way. Overall, it was a good experience, but personally, I might not do it again. read more

We purchased a Groupon and made a reservation a few weeks before for jet skiing and snorkeling on March 29, 2013. Earlier that week, we learned that President Obama would be visiting Miami Harbour on March 29th. We had a feeling this would affect our jet skiing adventure and his visit did, in fact, cause the Coast Guard to shut the entire area down which resulted in a delay of over 1.5 hours before we could leave the marina. Our guide, Steve, however, was great fun and made the time pass quickly. When we finally did get out on the water, Steve took us to an area where we saw dolphins (we managed to get very close to them which was a highlight of our experience for me) and he took our tour into open water as well as past the mega homes in the area. He would occasionally stop to provide us with trivia and information about the area and the various homes. We decided as a group to forgo the snorkeling and instead stayed on the jet ski's for almost 2 hours! Steve set the pace and we went as fast as the jet ski's would go which was quite the adrenaline rush and great fun! Highly recommended! read more

Had a blast!! My husband and I rented 1 jet ski and alternated driving it. I placed my order online and received the 10% off student discount. We took the boating license course/test in person which only took 15 minutes. I forgot my sunblock in the car and the staff gave me some. Our instructor, Scott, was awesome! He was friendly and lend me his shades when it started raining towards the end of our adventure. He showed us an island but it was too packed with boats for us to stop. My boyfriend and I came here while on vacation in Miami and had a great time. We happened to be the only people who booked the time slot for the one hour Island Adventure tour so it was like having our own private guide. Having lived in Miami for many years, I had rented wave runners in the past but never went on a guided tour so this was very different. I think this tour might have been more fast-paced than usual (not sure though) because it was just the two of us and while my boyfriend was able to keep up with the guide, I fell behind a lot (yes, admittedly my fault as I was much more wimpy about the speed - these babies do go very fast!). You ride through lot of open water as well as between large boats (where you probably would normally be a little afraid to ride - well, at least I would). Our guide was very knowledgeable and great with the wave runners - my only complaint was that he was in a huge rush and wasn't overly pleasant before we got out on the water. Once we were out there it was fine though, it is good to be with someone who seems to know what he's doing, especially when you're zig zagging between very large vessels. The Island Adventure tour is a little pricey if you each want your own jet ski but definitely worth the fun! read more

My cousins and I booked 4 jet skis nervous about taking a tour versus just renting without guidance. Upon arrival Stefan, the guide, was GREAT. He allowed us to safely see how nice the new jet skis were, and they were NICE. Better than all the other rentals we saw on the water. They even have reverse. Do not recommended. First, this place messed up our reservations and acted like they were doing us a favor by offering us a time slot 3 hours later. We agreed to wait and got ready to take our tests. A few moments later we were told the time slot we just agreed to somehow got booked during that time and he suggested we come another day. He refused to cancel the other people's reservation even though we were already there and promised this time slot. He was unapologetic and nonchalant about how he inconvenienced us. My boyfriend and I came here for an hour jet ski rental. You first take a short test if you don't have your Florida boating certificate or if you're born 1988 and after. The test was very easy, and even had common sense questions. We had a great experience here thanks to our jet ski guide. It was nice that there were only 3 jet skis (including myself) with one guide. Once out in the water, we were spread out from the jet ski in front of us, so you could go at your own speed and as fast as you want. I never rode a jet ski before, or any vehicle other than a car, and it was very easy to learn, especially with an instructor who took his time to explain all controls. I'm not one to come on here and do a bad review. I am pro business, but unless the owners/managers hire better people, don't come to this place! When we showed up the person doing the tour told us to hurry up, that we were waisting his time. This was before we got on the jet ski. I told him that I would hate to take his time and went for my refund. We paid cash for the rentals, and they asked me for my credit card for incidental. We got our cash back and we left. I was not going to write a review at all but after I saw my card statement I was shocked to see that they had ran the card for the full amount! That is technically fraud and bad customer service. For the amount they charge, there are plenty of places in Miami you can go to. Let these people know that customer service should be their number one priority. My son was visiting, and his only request, "Dad, all I want to do this trip is Jet Ski, and I do not want to ride, I want to drive" ! Straight A student, so what do you do? I went the day before and we spoke with Shelley (Pray i got your name right). I mentioned this would be my sons 1st time driving, voiced my concern about age and wanted to know restrictions. He let us know the requirements, made sure my kids age was guideline and said we needed a state picture ID. So yesterday morning, 8am we were at DMV to get a photo ID. Afterwards, we went online to make reservations (I think a $20 discount to do online) Our reservation was at 3:30pm. We received a phone call around 2:48pm, which I was so grateful for, because one of the restrictions is to take a boating license test, and you must be there 30 min prior. Arriving at 3pm on the Dot, my son took the test, 100 of course, then we met the French Instructor, Stefan, Very cool guy. He thoroughly went through operation of the Jet ski with my Kid, 5 second rules, hand signals, etc. We parked on a sand barge took pictures of the scenery, went to an island, took more pics and Stefan pointed out some of the locals with their highly modified Jet skis. He made every precaution ensuring my kids safety away from them. "lets go now while they are over there" lol. We went in the bay where I lost it, taking a S-turn too tight. He quickly came back, I gave him the thumbs up, as I was swimming toward the jet ski, and he gave me a tow to it, and we resumed, S-turns and speed, this was awesome. Me and my kid had a ball. I will definitely start bringing all my out of town guest. Only regret, they don't have some sort of - come 4 times, 5th time free- deal, Lol. The entire staff, was amazing! This location also rent boats which is also on the horizon. In addition, I met Mike ( I am Ironman) about future water board, next my kid visits. Thanks to everyone involved. Hope this review helps. We did the 1hr tour which was a pretty decent value compared to the other rental locations in Miami. The only complaint that we had was the island stop was too long. If youre anything like us, we rented the jet ski to go out and ride on the tour instead of in a small ride zone like the other companies. Which the ride to and from the island was fun but the island stop really cut the 1hr tour short for riding. During the ride you hit speeds of around 50-55mph as long as everyone on your tour is competent and capable of controling the ski. read more

The most disorganized and unprofessional service I have ever experienced. Our group made a reservation online a week prior through their site and spoke to Eddie. When we arrived we were still told that there were not enough jet skis for all of us. The owner or manager (Alex) told us that there would be enough ready within two hours and that we would have to wait, which we agreed to. While we were waiting he came back and told us that the ones we were waiting on were just reserved online so we'd have to come back tomorrow!!! He was very impolite and didn't even apologize! He just kept going on and on about how they are losing money in the end as if they were doing us a favor for not charging us when they are the one who messed up the reservation! We took our business elsewhere and definitely do not recommend this place. read more

i purchased a groupon since i was going to be in miami for couple of days i called before i even purchased the groupon and they said is fine also they said to make sure to arrive 30 minuted before and we did... well we had to take the test and everything but when we got there the lady said we wasnt going to be able to go on since we got there late and that we was suppous to be there earlier like 1 hr and 30 minutes earlier. i was sooooo pissed because it was going to be my husbands first time jetskiing and this happens OMG. well i was told to contact groupon for a refund and so i did.. groupon did a refund rite away and within 5 business days i had my refund back on my credit card. but then i had to call this company so they can refund me the tax charge and i called and spoke to someone she said to call her back so she can do the refund and i called and called and she never picked up the phone again.. after that i had to call every day trying to reach someone to get my refund seems like they already knew who i was and will never ever pickup my phone call! REALLY HORRIBLE COMPANY they stole my money because i got tired of calling for my refund until i gave up. read more

My best friend and I had an awesome experience with the jetski island adventure tour. Our tour guide was Sal and he was great. We arrived late because we couldn't figure out the location for awhile but we still get our one hour your even though we were the last appointment that day. Sal was patient as we were both first timers. I took to it quickly but my friend was anxious because she didn't anticipate the waves so we went slower. The island stop was cool but we never did find that monument. The sandbar was neat because we got to stand in the middle of the ocean and Sal took pictures of us because we didn't bring our phones.
