I put mine in cheap spice bottles with the original labels and it worked great for me! LOVE the contests, the fun craft events and then even better inspiration. I had a lot going on in my life and this was a great source of fun and inspiration for me! I miss their store and everything they did for the community! Glad to still be following on facebook and looking forward to their next chapter!

There's a lot of workspaces, so if you're there for a craft day or krewe party, there's room to spread out and have your space. Also? They have a bathroom, and it seems pretty cleaned and stocked, so no complaints there Now, the reasons that this is my least favorite glitter place in the Greater NOLA area... 1. the cost -- the amount you spend for the little bit of glitter that you get? It's not worth it. Yes, if there is a specific krewe blend that you're looking for and want to support that, fine, splurge. For me? that's way too pricey. 2. the containers. The glitter is given to you in a sealed bag that is filled with static and has no way to reclose. It's not ziplock, it's not a reusable jar. It's a waste of plastic that you have to replace as soon as it's opened. It's incredibly impractical, and if you have a huge stock of glitter to begin with, it becomes annoying to try to find another container to store it. If you need glitter, or things for your spinner cup thingys, they're an option. However, for the price and product, definitely no where close to where I'd go with so many other options available in the GNO area.

I was passed to another associate who replied she would check. She returned and stated she had four. When I asked, I was told they could not hold an item, which I do understand. My daughter agreed to use her lunch break to drive thirty minutes to pick up the item. On the way, we called the store back to confirm the items were in fact in stock. Again, the response was they had four. When my daughter arrived, she couldn't find them and asked an associate for help. She was then told they didn't have them, that they sold out Saturday. A call was made following this visit, this time to the manager. The manager stated they sold the last ten on Saturday to a customer selling them on EBay. No apologies made for the mistake or the hour of travel time and aggravation. I use to shop at the Hobby Lobby in Elmwood until I grew tired of the constant mess from stocking at peak shopping hours and the rudeness of their associates. Apparently the rudeness is not limited to this location.

Though the studio is old, each class provides EVERYTHING you need to practice on the wheel - clay, tools, aprons, etc. You have to pay extra per piece you want to fire and we didn't get free reign with glazes and trimming (the instructors do it for you). But I didn't mind for the price, and it makes it easier for those who take the class to spend it entirely on honing in the art of throwing. Overall a great start for beginners who have always wanted to try ceramics! They really create a safe space for you to mess up and learn. Taught by experienced instructors, Byrdie's has reasonable membership prices as well!

You are reading this here first: Byrdies makes the best sandwich I've ever had. What's more? It's…read morealso the cheapest sandwich in New Orleans! The value is incredible (ie, I don't mean shitty American "cheese" and limp iceberg lettuce-cheap. I deserve better than that. *You* deserve better than that). Those tomatoes on there are probably heirloom and for greens, we're talking arugula. The specialty veg sandwich has an avocado spread that's out of this world divine delicious and the other day, I was introduced to the joys of buttermilk cheese sprinkled on top. They make their own *bread* for god's sake... If you don't like red onions or red pepper, Chris will gladly substitute you with something else. And whatever the ingredient, there's just the right amount of everything perfectly combined to make a sandwich into an edible piece of art. OK, so the price for this incredible sandwich that I still can't stop thinking about and have had to have twice in less than a week when I normally don't eat lunch out? FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS! Make that four with the Yelp Check-In offer. I shit you not. And yes, I'm cursing up a motherfuckingstorm because I feel like I've discovered something not many people know about (with the exception of Yelptern, Emily A, who introduced me to the joys of Byrdie's sandwiches just recently). And just so you know I mean business. I consider this place to be really off the grid when it comes to food. For the love of a good sandwich, stop in immediately and do yourself a favor with one of these incredible concoctions. See a fantastic art installation that a righteous feline might be guarding along the way... One other thing: I haven't tried it yet, but you should probably also know there's a homemade lavender bread with homemade strawberry jam, along with other pastries made in-house. These folks aren't fucking around.

This shop is perfectly perfect in every way and it makes me want to throw a big shindig, just so I will have a excuse to spend all of my money here. There are so many charming things: sparkly dresses, pastel dresses, beautiful costume jewelry, furs, hats, feather wigs and a tiara, just to name a few. Setting foot here was like visiting your great aunt's house, provided she has lots of style. I couldn't quite tell if this shop was a consignment shop or not because all of the items are "one of a kind", in the sense that there is only one of each thing offered. For example, I found a beautiful dress that would be perfect for New Years Eve, but it wasn't in my size. Despite that, I love the feeling that you are in a fabulous closet packed with vintage inspired treats. I didn't buy anything to do, but I do intend to pick up some sparkly hair accessories as the end of the year approaches.

The delicate, beautiful fascinators with ostrich feathers are something to behold! These will make you stand out in a crowd of parade and Mardi Gras ball revelers! I believe the woman who owns the shop makes these on the premises as there's a huge sewing studio in the back of the store. IE, these are not coming off a shipment from China. There's so much to tempt the eye and wallet here. Prices are more than fair. I'll be back soon for a coat that I can't get out of my mind. It has to happen.
