Just recently, I made the decision to leave Orange County Diabetes and transter to Premier Medical Group. Dr. Ahmad is a really great endocrinologist and I wish I didn't have to leave because of the following circumstances, but l literally had no choice. The office and medical staff are ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. They are a nightmare to deal with to say the least. They do not answer the phone 95% of the time and when they actually do they put you on hold immediately just to wait 6-8 mins average and then be disconnected. Other times, when you actually do get to speak to someone, you give them your request or ask them a question. This is followed by another hold session and then the line becomes disconnected without your question or request being met, answered, or solved. Almost every single time you call back after that it goes to a generic voicemail, not to a person. In which if you leave a detailed message stating what you need and what happened, no one EVER calls you back. Adding to all this, they twiddle their thumbs when it comes to medication refills. Numerous times I have ran out of medication while waiting for a renewal order to be sent in to the pharmacy. Actually, I am still out of one medication as of writing this review. It's been over two months without it and I just made the decision to leave the practice two weeks ago. Again, I called them no less than 20 times for the refill and got ahold of them twice, I mean actually speaking with a staff member. Reassuring me that the prescription refill will be sent over but it never was. Future attempts to get ahold of them were futile and when you do miraculously get them on the line and you express frustration about what's been happening they tell you "stop yelling at me" and hang up. I have recently requested my records to be sent to Premier Medical Group. It took them approximately a month to do that and another 20 something phone call attempts. And I am still waiting for them to send 1 simple fax back to an online pharmacy to get a prescription that is free for me through the online pharmacy, ultimately providing me with a huge financial savings. This simple task they can not accomplish, with not only me trying to expedite the process but also the third party pharmacy!!! Then have also been trying to get the necessary paperwork they require back to them from Orange County Diabetes and have been just as unsuccessful as I am. I am not trying to make Dr. Ahmad look bad or discredit him as a physician in any way, shape, or form...but the practice needs a more caring, professional, proficient, and competent office and medical staff. If you are thinking about switching to another medical group my advice would Be to do it now and do it fast. If you aren't experiencing issues now, you most definitely eventually will. Save yourself the headaches, phone calls, frustration, and time. Sent my child to another County for tests she didn't need for a condition that was later fixed (by another doctor) with a medication found in aisle 4 of my local grocery store! Takes FOREVER in the room and reads the manuals to you. Took him over an hour to give me a simple annual check up for work (1 hr, 20 min). Office is unkempt, dirty, cold, everything is broken, and he is terribly rude to his staff. I was so embarrassed for her. Every website I looked up for medical reviews had complaints from other patients similar to mine! WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY!!!!

I am an octogenarian and have seen him for both knee and foot/ankle issues over the years. And what I really like about him is that he is willing to go with conservative treatments first and does not opt for surgery unless it really seems necessary. (That is important to me because I have inherited a family bleeding disorder so surgery can be a real risk.) I would recommend him to anyone.

I also called…read morethe office and gave all my insurance information before where they confirmed they do in fact accept my insurance plan. So I take my son there for a dislocated knee cap. My son literally had a 5 minute scan with no tests done. They give him basically an over the counter knee brace that would cost $30 in Walmart. It was not fitted to him it was just something they had in back. Fast forward a month they send me a bill for over $3000 and say they do not accept my insurance. It says right on my personal insurance plan that they do accept I even emailed the billing department the proof as it was listed. Plus let's not forget that they also confirmed prior to my visit they accepted it. Well now no one will take my calls, office staff a nightmare. They will not call back or help in any manor. I called my insurance and they said all they need is them to give an authorization and it will be covered but they will not cooperate! I warn anyone thinking of going to Beware! You may think you are going somewhere covered by insurance and a month later you will be dealing with the same nightmare as me! I was finally offered the option to speak with a doctor virtually which I accepted. The exam was brief, but satisfactory, and I left shortly after having blood drawn. The real issue arose when shortly after my visit I started to get requests for payment even though the visit was covered by my insurance. I continue to get emails and phone calls months after the visit, despite speaking with them and their acknowledgment it is not my responsibility, and despite phone calls from my insurance carrier.

Dr Sanders…read more Hopewell office, on the weekend 2025, I made online Appointment for Dr Sanders in Hopewell Sept 26. Nurse Monte called and asked if I get medicatio n for Chronic pain. My reason for visit servere headaches. She said that Dr Sanders does not give Pain medications. And wanted cancel the appointment if that was what I was coming for. I said same thing I said at Fishkill office. Extremely rude. Dr Sanders didn't care that visit I was in pain. Or that I took seven medications because I have a acute heart decease.
