Dr. Khemlani met me for my first appointment, accommodating a scheduling conflict to make sure I was seen in a timely fashion. Dr. Kehmlani went to bat for me with my insurance to ensure I got an approved prior authorization. He truly had to go the extra mile. Further, the next day I was seen for the actual procedure. I was honestly terrified. He took the time to stop and speak calmly with me, reassuring me all would be fine. He took time. He showed compassion. He was above-and-beyond professional... but more importantly, he was kind. Providers like Dr. Khemlani are FEW are FAR BETWEEN. Providers that truly express empathy and grace are a rare find any more and I'm quite lucky to have been referred to him. Even better, he has a ridiculously good sense of humor and made the rather unpleasant procedure 100% tolerable... painless one would say. I can't speak highly enough of Columbia Pain Management and Dr. Khemlani. He and his staff were all spectacular and I appreciate everyone for their great care. I can honestly say, I am looking forward to returning for my follow-up appointments. Thanks, Dr. Khemlani. You're the best!

I arrived on time, and they asked me to resubmit paperwork that I had already completed online. This took about 10 minutes. I sat for another 10 minutes, and asked why I wasn't being seen. The receptionist informed me that they ask people to arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork, which I was never made aware of, AND even I were, I don't know why they would ask a person to come in 30 minutes early who had already completed their paperwork online ? It's very disrespectful of their patients time. I considered rescheduling to their Hillsboro office because it was going to impact other appointments I had that day, but they wouldn't have been able to get me in for quite some time which was not an option for me given my level of pain. At one point, I was quite literally, verbally attacked by a medical assistant for questioning why I was asked to come in so early, asking about rescheduling, etc. The only reason I didn't leave is that I waited for this appointment for so long, I'm in excruciating, chronic pain, and rescheduling would have pushed out my ability to be treated. Nurse practitioner was thankfully very professional, which I hope is more indicative of how Dr. Stephenson will administer my initial treatment. However, I will never set foot in the Happy Valley office again, and I will be actively searching for another solution longer term.

If you are looking for professional services i recommend seeing Dr. Bespaly.

I think Dr. Bespaly and his staff are great. I like to ask a lot of questions to any doctor I see,…read moreand judge them on their responses. Not silly stuff, but things pertaining to why I am there or other services they may offer. If they take the time to explain things in a manner that I can understand, well done. If they fail to do so, act like I'm an idiot and won't understand, or brush them off I won't go back. Making a point of this as Dr. Bespaly always does a really great job. He gave a very thorough explanation about nerve ablation on my last visit. I have been to his clinic 3 times for ketamine infusions. Anyone curious about this treatment I highly encourage to do some research online first. They do work well for me personally, but there is one caveat... The cost is high and currently no insurance will cover them. Most doctors will repeatedly feed you antidepressants until one works, for some folks they just will not work and have terrible side effects. The worst part is SSRIs take weeks if not months to get results, if they even will work that is. Ketamine there is no waiting, it works by the following day. So... if you compare the quick results of ketamine to the months or years of frustration and lack of quality of life trying different pills, I think it's worth it. The experience itself can be a bit weird or intense. It felt like I was continually falling or sinking (was laying in a recliner), and my mind was swirling with thoughts. The thoughts were mostly what had been bothering me, but in a new positive light so to speak. I found it to be relaxing, but I could imagine it might be a bit frightening to some. I suggest bringing some chill music/headphones and preparing a playlist in advance. You will need a ride home. One infusion will have lasting positive effects for a few months, again this is for me personally. Getting a bit long winded here but wanted to share my own subjective opinion and experience. Kudos to Dr. Bespaly and his team.

I am posting a pic of my release letter just to show the exact wording used by my own PT Marge. But first I wanna say i built up some strength but at a cost the last few weeks I think we increased the weight too much, I did hurt something in my left hand it's been that way after the first noticeable weight increase. Also a new shoulder injury with pain during rotation. Still exists now. My main concern was the letter and what she said. Since I'm on a workers comp claim, I was injured at work. All my appointment are mandatory obviously and so is any PT, or any other hoop they ask you to do. Which I gladly do. But what she said clearly puts my entire livelihood at risk since I'm the major breadwinner at my home.. this lady Marge, Clearly stating that I had "4" NO SHOWS. In the next sentence she says that I had rescheduled that same day. I did give her notice and even rescheduled for later in the same day.. 2 were cause of doc visits at the same time so I rescheduled my PT obviously.. and the supposed "4th" no show I was there.. and the front door was locked... during business hrs.. so I'm not even sure why she wrote that and I was not going to go back and ask just to have a conflict.. and clearly writes that I purchased a kayak and have gone kayaking several times.... are you fucking kidding me..... I hope some upper management can see and review this.. if you look at the address you can see this is the new Gladstone location. While I was there for over 3 months I only seen 3 other people.. and on a side note every time I came to my appointment the doors were always locked. Even midday, It's no wonder I only seen 3 other people.
