I can't say enough nice things about the team at Jacobsen Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Jacobsen is so kind, caring and understanding he goes above and beyond the typical standard for a pediatric dentist or any dentist for that matter! The generosity Dr. Jacobsen showed my son and I at our visit this week literally brought tears to my eyes. My son had to be sedated for his procedure and once Dr. Jacobsen got in his mouth there was WAY more work that needed to be done then we thought. I was feeling very overwhelmed about the cost and decided I needed to prioritize what needed to be done and only do the most important work to keep the cost down, but Dr. Jacobsen was more worried about the well being of my 7 year old son then he was about money and did ALL the work he needed at no extra charge. People rarely surprise me or impress me but Dr. Jacobsen showed my family genuine kindness and selflessness in a typically unkind world and I'm beyond grateful that people like him walk this earth!! read more

Never trust this place. Healthcare providers have an obligation to ensure that insurance carriers are being offered services within their yearly benefits. This dentist and it's staff could care less about your individual experience. When I spoke to the office the women on the line was rude and condescending. I would be surprised if this person ever took a customer service class in her life. She was not interested in hearing my perspective or offering any empathy whatsoever. read more

We love our dentist so much we even kept going to them after they stopped being a preferred provider from our insurance and I pay a little more! Great atmosphere for kids-makes going to the dentist much more appealing with movies on the ceiling and tokens when you're done! Staff is great with kids, always very friendly and engaging. Only docking one star because we did have a recent experience where my daughter had to have a tooth pulled and she tried to tell them that she was not completely numb but they continued the removal which was very painful for her. I do think it was more of a misunderstanding, but I had warned them ahead of time that our family tends to be difficult to numb and she was pretty traumatized in general they are really great, though, just make sure to be a good advocate for your child as with any healthcare situation. read more

Dr. Jacobson was great with my son. Let me tell you as well, this kid started out in tears. It's really scary getting that first cavity filled. There is a key word here, patience. The doctor and his hygienist had buckets full. She was right on top of everything. They moved lightening quick together, like a machine. He explained everything that was happened down to counting seconds. He gave my son plenty of breaks, no rushing. I can't even begin to express how thankful I am for Dr. Jacobsen and his staff at the Gresham location. I called them first thing in the morning in need of urgent care for my son. The receptionist went above and beyond for me to make the accommodations so that my son could be taken care of right way. The staff was kind and gentle, easing my fear of having to use sedation for an emergency tooth extraction on my 15 month old. Every member of the staff was kind, informative and gentle, exactly what I would expect from a pediatric dental office. They took the best care possible of my son, and I am eternally grateful to them. On the less important side, the office space is clean, beautifully decorated and extremely child friendly and inviting. There are toys, TVs, iPads, beanbag chairs, a beautiful water bubble fountain, and much much more. I wish they worked on adults, because this is the most fun dental office I've ever seen! read more

I found out about Dr Jacobsen's practice when he was booked as a guest speaker at our general parent meeting at West Linn Community Preschool. His presentation was very professional yet friendly and informative. Who knew cavities can be dealt with without fillings if caught in time, another reason to take your children to the dentist early and regularly. Based on that meeting I booked my daughter (4 yrs) and soon my son (2 yrs) for a cleaning and check up. The office is brand new and well tailored to children, plenty of toys and tv's on the ceiling. I was nervous about bringing the unstoppable force, that is my 2 year old son but the set up was quite nice with an activity table near the dental chair so I could simultaneously distract my son while being near my daughter, while Eva the friendly tech cleaned her teeth. The Mickey Mouse cartoon on the ceiling certainly helped distract my daughter so she was much less uneasy as she has been in previous dental visits. The receptionist was delightful, booking the appointment was easy and she caught an insurance oversight on my part that could have resulted in a last min cancellation or out of pocket cleaning for my son. I also love it when I can fill out the forms so that check in is extra breezy and with two kids under 4 in tow, this feature is especially appreciated. I 'm happy to say that after trying on a few places, we have found our pediatric dentistry. read more

I love this dentist. My son has special needs so it is often difficult to find a dentist with this type of experience. Dr Jacobsen wants t help my son be comfortable so he adapts to my son! Dr jacobsen even had my sons favorite cartoon ready when we came in. absolutely the best dentist I have found. I am so glad we found Dr. Jacobsen! His staff is wonderful, and he is such a nice guy. My older kids were immediately comfortable with him, and my 2 year old warmed up to him very quickly. The office is clean and bright, with TVs mounted above the chairs. The kids get tokens when they're done so they can get prizes out of bubblegum machines. We have been going to Jacobsen pediatric Dentistry since moving to the Oregon City area. My boys are now 4.5 and 1.5 and we have had the best possible dental experience. The office is bright clean and decorated so cute. Everyone who works in the office is friendly and makes my boys feel at ease. My daughter had her first check up at Dr. Jacobsen's practice today and I am so glad we found him, the office is so clean and cute and the staff is just wonderful. We recently moved to Oregon City from out of state and my 4 1/2 year old daughter was born with a cleft lip and palate so we needed to find a dentist quickly who was comfortable being a part of my daughter's care, Dr. Jacobsen was so friendly and made me feel at home from the first minute we met. He truly cares about his patients and my daughter was comfy and happy being there, then at the end of the visit they gave her a bag with goodies and a balloon after letting her put her name up on the wall, now she wont stop raving about it and even asked if we could go back tomorrow! The entire facility is designed to put little nerves at ease and to have all kiddos leave having had a good trip to the dentist! This is hands down the best pediatric dental practice you will ever find! We had tried two other pediatric dentists before finding Dr. Jacobsen, and I am SO glad that I kept searching when I was not satisfied with the previous two. Dr. Jacobsen and his entire staff are excellent! They are fantastic with children! Dr. Jacobsen and the hygienists are extremely patient, which is essential when dealing with children. Everyone in the office is super friendly and they all have smiles on their faces! I kid you not, the last time we left, my six year old said "that was so fun! I can't wait to come back!" The office itself its gorgeous and so kid friendly, without being cheesy. The kids get tokens to use in a prize machine after their visit, which is a huge hit with my boys! I searched for a long time to find the perfect pediatric dentistry and I was nervous because I hadn't heard of this place, but read the reviews. I am so glad I chose Jacobsen because I have been nothing but happy since being here. The place is so clean and fun and there are so many kid-friendly elements all around..TV's above on the ceiling, games and train table in the lobby as well as books. They have it decorated with a nautical theme and it's so great..they added a giant screen to the back wall that looks like a real exotic fish aquarium and they have fun incentives and treats for the kids. Most of all I immediately got this warm feeling that Dr.Jacobsen and all of the staff were so friendly and caring. The Dr. himself is knowledgeable about what he is doing and I trust him completely with my son's dental care. So glad our first dentistry choice was our final choice..It's also a plus it's so close in Oregon City we don't have to leave to Clackamas like we do with all of our other appointments. read more

We drive all the way from Astoria to see Dr. Jacobsen. He is the best. He's patient and very knowledgeable. His whole staff is friendly and fun. They are great with the kids. The office is also beautiful. They have lots of fun toys and even iPads for the patients to use. Kids can watch a movie while they get their teeth cleaned, and they earn tokens to get prizes at the end of their visit. Be prepared though-your child may not want to leave! read more

Although my daughter has only visited this practice once, I was completely blown away! It is the perfect place to take your little one for their first check up! The staff are super friendly and just get how to work with kids. My daughter refused to leave my lap for the entire visit and not once did anyone show one ounce of frustration (except me, of course). They have toys, tvs, and after each visit kids get tokens to redeem for a little prize. The best part that really blew me away was about a week after my daughter's visit she received a card in the mail from Dr. Jacobsen thanking her for coming in and saying that he looked forward to seeing her again. Dr. Jacobsen is a wonderful pediatric dentist. I am so glad I found him. He was extremely kind, patient, and very calm while he worked on my 4 year old sons teeth. My son always cried in the past when he went to a different pediatric dentist but he trusted Dr. Jacobsen from the start. The dental assistants in the office are also great and really know how to talk to their young patients. They use a lot of encouraging words and praise the child while they are getting their teeth fixed. My sons teeth look great and I feel the work that was done on his teeth was excellent. The office was very clean and both the dentist and his assistants were very sterile and always washed their hands between patients. All of this was so important to me as a formal dental assistant and mom. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist I would definitely give this office a try! read more
