Extremely poor customer service from the front desk. When I declined an X-ray because I already…read morehave several medically necessary X-rays scheduled this year, I was told it was a "legal requirement" and that my August cleaning would be canceled. After I challenged that claim, it suddenly became merely "office protocol." There was no empathy, no effort to understand my medical concerns, and no basic courtesy. I suggested to have it done closer to my cleaning visit in late August. I was then told there were no X-ray appointments available before August 20......then, after I questioned that, an appointment magically became available the morning of my cleaning. The qualified clinical staff have been so far ok. Unfortunately, this administrative staff I interacted with came across as arrogant, dismissive, hostile, and deeply unconcerned with the patient experience. She did not even acknowledge me as I left. I have zero tolerance for made up lies and rude people. Absolutely unacceptable.

I would strongly caution anyone considering Palm Springs Modern Dentistry, particularly Dr. Natalie…read moreLe, based on my experience. I came to Dr. Le in May after a terrible bonding experience elsewhere in April left me extremely distressed about my front teeth. She had been recommended by another one of my doctors, so I went in expecting that she would help me figure out what was happening and point me in the right direction. At my first appointment, Dr. Le told me she did not work with bonding. Looking back, I wish she had simply referred me to a qualified cosmetic dentist at that point, especially knowing how upset I already was about my front teeth. Instead, she told me she believed my bonding was chipping because my upper and lower teeth were hitting each other. This caused me an enormous amount of anxiety. I became so afraid of damaging my teeth that I stopped closing my mouth normally. I am now dealing with jaw issues significant enough that I need physical therapy. Dr. Le referred me to both an orthodontist and a TMJ specialist. The orthodontist disagreed with her assessment. The TMJ specialist, who proposed a $2,500 splint, also did not confirm what she had told me. Later, I could feel and see what appeared to be additional bonding loss between teeth #6 and #7. I returned to Dr. Le and asked her to examine it. She told me the bonding had not been disrupted. At that point, my gut was telling me that I needed another dentist. There were other problems. Palm Springs Modern Dentistry had me undergo another round of deep cleanings. After they cleaned the left side of my mouth, I suddenly could not close my jaw normally. I called and returned to the office. Dr. Le told me nothing was wrong. About a week later, after severe grinding and clenching--which I had never experienced like this before all of this dental work--I chipped a tooth. Dr. Le finally performed a bite test and discovered that I could not close my mouth on the right side. What happened after I left this practice is the most concerning part for me. The first thing my new dentist told me was that the mouth guard Dr. Le had fitted me for was not correct for me. The second thing he noticed was that my bottom teeth were not hitting my top teeth the way I had been led to believe. He referred me to another orthodontist. That orthodontist ordered imaging that was sent to pathology. According to the findings subsequently explained to me, my upper right wisdom tooth was severely decayed. My dentist examined it and told me it was beyond the point where it could simply be drilled and filled. A cavity was also discovered in my upper left wisdom tooth that I was told was likewise beyond being filled. I then saw yet another dentist. That dentist also disagreed with Dr. Le's assessment about my upper and lower teeth touching and told me very clearly that they do not. I am now having all four wisdom teeth removed this week. What makes this especially upsetting is that Dr. Le told me in May that I had no cavities. I was also told that Dr. Le was on vacation and that she would call me when she returned. That call never came. I am sharing this because I wish someone had warned me to seek another opinion much sooner. Multiple dental professionals I saw after leaving this practice disagreed with important things I had been told there, and serious dental problems were subsequently identified. This experience affected far more than my teeth. The anxiety surrounding my bite became overwhelming, and I am now dealing with the physical consequences as well. Based on my personal experience, I would not return to Palm Springs Modern Dentistry or Dr. Natalie Le, and I would strongly encourage anyone dealing with complicated dental or cosmetic concerns to seek another opinion.
