I went to Dr Jorgensen's office for a cracked tooth, He removed that tooth and took others. My procedures were very painful and the charges were excessively high. I received Nitrous Oxide twice and was billed 1, 250 dollars. My husband called to dispute the charge and was told that Nitrous Oxide "is very expensive" My son went to another dentist and was charged 150 dollars for Nitrous Oxide. I've been a patient of Dr. Jorgensen for a couple of years. Nothing wrong with the dentist, he is fine. The issue here is the hygienist. I work a lot and my time is very valuable to me. Even if this was not the case, patients time should be respected. I always make my appointments first thing in the morning. So I can just hurry off to work following my exam. The hygienist in the morning is consistently late. 10-15 minutes late may not be an issue for some but for me, it most defiantly is. She's not a brain surgeon coming in late because she got called away for emergency brain surgery, she's consistently late because she's unable to manage her time. If I'm able to make it to the office 15-30 minutes prior to the appointment time that office gave me, then surely a hygienist who's livelihood is dependent on the patients she serves can also be competent, mature and respectful enough to do the same. The message she sends every single day she arrives to work 10-15 minutes past the scheduled first appointment time because she has done this every single time I've had an appointment at that office, is that she doesn't care about her job nor does she respect the time or value the patients who keep her employed. After all, it's the dentist office that sets the appointments. The very least the hygienist could do would be to show up to work on time. I left that office for another dentist after 3 occurrences in a row my my waiting 10-15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time for that hygienist to arrive to work. Definitely above average! This was the first of many dentists that have worked on me to actually pay attention to and correct occlusion in a tooth with restoration. I learned something here. Having lost an entire quadrant of teeth due to former dentists' inattention to occlusion, and subsequent unneeded root canal, a failed bridge, chronic periodontitis (mistaken for endodontis!) and 4 extractions, it occurred to me that malocclusion alone very likely caused all those problems. Dentists call me a bruxer. Translation: many dentists are loathe to take the time to insure those teeth they worked on are hitting right. It's not the easiest thing in the world to do and it's tedious - but jesus, 4 years in dental school should be adequate time to get it down. Correction of occlusion should usually not be completed while that tooth is still under anesthesia (which it usually is during a restoration). Why? Because 90% of occlusion is sensory - you know by feel when teeth aren't hitting right but you can't tell when that tooth is numb. Dr Jay took the time to adjust occlusion on a tooth that was loose due to malocclusion (part of that process I relate in the second paragraph). The only one of 4 who even thought to spend a little extra time on that issue. And presto! A month after, that tooth is tightly in its socket, totally functional, no wiggle. When a dentist starts suggesting a bite wing - time to get up and walk out! That's a lazy dentist not interested in taking a few extra minutes to correct occlusion - which can involve several teeth and if bad enough, could result in the loss of several teeth - in my case, a whole quadrant. read more

I was at my second home in PS for two weeks in late March when I began having awful tooth pain. Called around and not a single dentist was open or could see me. On Friday, March 27, I happened to call Dr Gerald Chang and while they couldn't see me, the lady who answered said she thought Dr Jorgensen (across the hall from them) was possibly. She (don't recall her name)offered to contact him and get him in touch with me. Literally within 20 min, Dr Jay calls me back, and offered to see me within the hour. I showed up to his office and he was scrambling to help several others as well, which was fine by me and didn't mind the wait or him having to excuse himself to assist those coming in. So very much appreciated him helping me. Turned out to be an abscess and his intervention at a time of need got rid of the pain and got me on the road to recovery. He was missing time with his son to take care of others, truly admirable. He was kind, thorough, and kept saying how he appreciated his staff, because him trying to do it all was challenging, but he made it happen for me! He also called to follow up with me the next day. I've reviewed Dr. Jorgensen before and gave him a stellar rating. However, my latest visit warranted an update. I chipped a front tooth and called his office. The person who answered the phone was caring, compassionate, and able to book me a same-day appointment. As always, when I arrived I was greeted with smiles from his staff and Dr. J was quick to see me and assess my problem. He suggested it was an easy repair and that it could be done without any anesthetic. Literally, within minutes, Dr. J was able to prep my tooth and add a filling. Beautiful dental work, outstanding service, excellent scheduling flexibility and a wonderful staff! I was in need of work on several teeth - upper front and center. I needed a crown on an implant, a new crown to replace an old chipped one and wanted to cover banding and discoloration on a couple of others with veneers. I was new to the area and was looking for a dentist who would provide the great quality work and service I was used to with my prior dentist. From the moment I called to schedule my consultation appointment I felt like Dr. Jorgensen and his staff were going to meet my expectation. At my consult Dr. Jorgenson gave me several treatment options. Debbie got right to work with my insurance and the treatment options and they were able to provide estimates to help me make the decision...I was finally going to get the smile I have dreamed of most of my life. They got started right away, just before the holidays, and during the next 3 months I had several appointmens as part of the process - whitening, impressions, crowns, etc. and each one was a positive experience. Even though I felt very comfortable with my decision, I was also nervous and excited because I had waited so long for this smile and I wanted it to be perfect. I was really afraid of too big, too white, too fake looking. They were completely understanding, caring and reassuring. The work was completed two weeks ago and I absolutely could not be happier.
