I'm a 38 year old mother of three and was finally able to get my long awaited tummy tuck with Lipo this past Feb. by Dr. Michael Diaz. I wanted to wait a full 6 months before I wrote a review so I could possibly help others better understand why I chose Dr. Diaz instead of going to someone else. First off let me just say that I truly believe that my surgery and care the past 7 months have been nothing short of perfection! I initially had my first consult in Dec. of 2016 with Dr. Diaz and his nurse Freddy. I did have other consultations scheduled, but after meeting with these two gentleman I was so impressed and completely comfortable with them and the whole office that I knew this was where I wanted to be taken care of for my life changing surgery. The practice that Dr. Diaz runs is just amazing from the moment you walk into his beautiful white building to being greeted by his office staff (Coral) at the front desk who is also very sweet and always so caring when you go in or call on the phone that it really sets the stage for how things are going to be after your surgery. This was my first surgery ever so for me it was a really big deal and I was super nervous! Dr. Diaz and Freddy went over every detail with me and my husband during our consult and even gave us their phone numbers to call if we had any concerns or questions right before or after the surgery which helped me feel so much more comfortable and relaxed about it all. Right before my surgery we had some paperwork to read over just to make sure that I was preparing my body prior to the surgery as well as after. I also needed some pre-op bloodwork done just to make sure that I was ok to undergo anesthesia which was a piece of cake by the way. I also had some before photos taken during my pre-op visit which at this point was very exciting because the new me was only 10 days away! The day of my surgery I was so excited and nervous, but knew that I was in the best possible hands I could be in with Dr. Diaz and Freddy and I was so happy with my decision on choosing them. I can't remember the names of the other health care professionals in the back who inserted my IV or the name of the anesthesiologist, but they were truly incredible and made me feel so comfortable right before going in. The surgery for me felt like it was over as soon as I fell asleep which was crazy because I know it took a few hours at least. During the surgery Freddy called my husband to let him know how it was going and as soon as it was over Dr. Diaz let my husband know how the surgery went and how to best take care of me once I arrived home. I felt so loved and cared for when it was time to leave that I knew my recovery over the next 6 months was going to be great in their hands. Dr. Diaz even wheeled me out to our car and helped me inside just to make sure that I was ok before heading home. Once we arrived home and I was set up in my recliner Dr. Diaz had one of his nurses come to my house to go over all the care instructions with my husband and my mother-in-law which helped incredibly over the next 10 days. The next day after my surgery I had to go in for a bandage change and to get my drainage tubes examined which was not uncomfortable at all. Upon arriving we were told to park in the back of the building so I didn't have far to walk and also call so that they could help me inside which by the way Dr. Diaz came out himself to help me! :) I JUST LOVE HIM!! After that visit I continued with weekly visits until my tubes could be removed then it was every 2 weeks I believe to check on the healing progress and swelling. I really loved the ace bandage wrap with foam inserts that they provided so much and it helped tremendously with the swelling and made me feel so comfortable that I personally didn't want anything else until I healed more. I did however purchase a compression garment about 6 weeks post op and was able to wear that during the day and used the ace wrap with foam padding for night time while I slept. They definitely made sure that I was never in any pain at all during my recovery and was always a phone call away with any concerns I had no matter what time it was. For the first 10 days it was extremely important to hunch over so I didn't tear or cause damage to anything on the inside while I was healing. I personally wasn't able to get out of my recliner and be comfortable in bed until about 10 wks post op. At 8 wks post op I had my after photos taken and was able to start getting more active with getting out of the house and exercising. At this point of my recovery I felt great,looked great and couldn't wait to heal. I'm now currently just under 8 months post op and I have to say that I've really enjoyed my recovery process and my results are by far the BEST I could ever have hoped for! I really hope my review is helpful to others on choosing the right doctor to make you love looking in the mirror again and Dr. Diaz in my opinion is the one to make that happen!! read more

Dr. Michael Diaz is absolutely incredible and so is his entire staff. I have recently had a Tummy Tuck and Arm Lift done by Dr. Diaz. This was my first time having any kind of plastic surgery. The fabulous service started with the consultations I received from Dr. Diaz. I was very self conscious about these areas of my body so I was very nervous about my consultation, those worries were quickly erased when Dr. Diaz went over the procedures I would need, and he didn't try to push me to do additional procedures just to make extra $$. He worked with me on everything and made me feel very comfortable about the process from start to finish. One of the many things I loved about Dr. Diaz was he gave me very REAL expectations of the results I could expect. Surgery day was quickly approaching and I went in for my pre-op, they were very thorough and went through each step I could expect etc... Dr. Diaz spent almost 2 hours going over everything with me. My surgery was scheduled for 2 weeks after my pre-op. I got there at 9:30, the nurse Ashley was absolutely incredible, totally put my mind at ease on what is usually a very stressful day. I then was greeted by Dr. Diaz, he came in was super friendly and completed the drawing of his surgery sites on me. He walked me into the surgery room and I got on the table. His full staff was there in all smiles making me feel very comfortable. Dr. Diaz bedside manner is top notch, he held my hand and said "Everything is going to be okay, I'm here to take care of you". I was then dosing off and next thing I knew thanks to Dr. Thessen, his fabulous anesthesiologist, I was waking up in recovery. I stayed at a local hotel that Dr. Diaz recommended since I live about 45 minutes from his office, he wanted to make sure I was close to his office if any issues should arise the first night of my recover. I had no issues at all thankfully. Dr. Diaz amazing nurse Ashley who helped me when I first got to the office also followed me from his surgery center to the hotel I was staying at to assist me in getting settled for the night. They truly thought of everything. There was no detail missed when it came to my recovery as well. Dr. Diaz is very conscientious about patient safety as well, he even sends you home with leg pumps and prescribing injections to prevent blood clots etc... Dr. Diaz had me back the next day and he saw me back every day after that for about 5 days, even on a Saturday to check my incisions, change my dressings, and just to make sure I was doing okay. I go back for another follow up next Tuesday, so the follow up care doesn't stop once you're 1 week post op. I am now almost 4 weeks post op and I am very happy with my results so far. Dr. Diaz makes himself very available for any questions I may have throughout the recovery process etc.. as well which just comes back to his fabulous bedside manner. I consider myself lucky to have had this amazing team by my side through this process. I would like to thank Megan for her help with the beginning stages of the scheduling process, etc.... A big thank you as well to Freddy (he's Dr. Diaz's right hand man), Freddy has been the Nurse I have seen most of the visits in addition to Dr. Diaz for followup care. Freddy is kind, caring and funny. Tammy and Teresa are top notch and are always so friendly, even with my thousands of questions I have when I call. I highly recommend Dr. Diaz and his amazing team to anyone who is looking to feel better about themselves and have the comfort of knowing they have a friendly and professional team behind them. read more

I was overwhelmed with the quality of care I received from Dr Diaz and his staff. I'm super pleased with my results. I have family members that have had similar procedures done recently in other places and when we compared notes, they were blown away with the additional care provided to ensure everything went to plan. Everyone was kind and professional, respectful and took time to listen to my concerns. I have already recommended this office to several friends and family members and when I need another "tune up" I'll definitely be back. Tammy was amazing. She was there every step of the way providing encouragement and making me feel comfortable anytime I was in the office. Stacy was great. She came to my home the evening after surgery and ensured I was setup with everything I needed. Freddy did an amazing job taking care of me. Freddy always took his time to ensure that any questions or concerns were answered and put me at ease. Again, the level of care provided by Freddy was more than expected but very much appreciated. The welcome every patient receives, the care that every single person of the stuff provides, and the level of professionalism and knowledge on every field in this facility is superb. I was searching for a doctor that will help me with correction of 3 previous surgeries gone wrong. I have seen many doctors seeking for help and no one was guaranteeing successful outcome. Dr Diaz was gift sent from heaven. Calm, compassionate, and wonderful as only he can be, he promised that he will do his best to help me. After 7 hours on the operating table, I am myself, confident, and happy again. There are no words that can express how grateful I am. I must mention that the whole process would not be as smooth and easy if there wasn't for Freddy Velasquez. His smile and warmth are just the best medicine anybody can ask for. After 3 children, 2 weightloss surgeries, 1 emergency surgery and a 80 lb weight loss my abdomen was a mess! We won't even talk about the scars and stretch marks. I was ready to get rid of the excess skin and hope for a flatter tummy. The results were astounding! What stretch marks? What scars? I love the staff at Dr Diaz's office. The Staff is very friendly and the specialists are outstanding at what they do. I'm a fitness enthusiast and have I have suffered with cellulite for a long time. I have finally found a treatment called edermologie that is not only effective but guaranteed to work if you follow the directions offered by Amy Uranga. I have been using this treatment for months now and I'm amazed at the results, areas where I've worked so hard to reduce with exercise and diet have gone away in a few treatments. My wife had been to other surgeons for consultations in Florida but was immediately impressed with Dr. Diaz and his assistant Freddy Velasquez,RN. DR.
