Maybe it was a bad day for all involved but I feel that they were undeserved. I want you the reader to know I have no affiliation with Beach Medical other than being a patient. I'm not some paid-for person giving a review - these are my honest opinions: I'm in the process of getting both shoulders and a knee operated on in San Diego but I live nearby Beach Medical in IHB Florida. With this whole Covid thing all my appointments got tossed up in the air including my MRIs which were to take place in San Diego. I had a doctors consult scheduled May 6th and was to get the images done May 4th but my flights got cancelled. I'd driven past Beach medical numerous times (it's right across from Too Cool Cafe which is an awesome restaurant!) so I thought I'd give them a call on April 27th ... first, they were super professional and nice on the phone and were able to schedule not one, but all three MRIs in that week. In my experience it would take a month or more to schedule an MRI! ... so on to the visits ... The office was spotless and they were doing a great job keeping people distanced and everyone (including me) had masks on. Arleen was very professional and pleasant at the front desk, and Terisina was way too eager to take my copay ... lol ... As I saw them each visit we all joked around a little as I came in. Rod and Lizzy were my MRI techs and both were really nice, making sure I was comfortable and got me in and out of the procedure safely and courteously. OBTW the machine used was their open MRI which was much nicer than the closed ones I had been in before. Finally, I met Dr. Beirre. He was very nice, professional and quite courteous as well. All of my reports were sent to San Diego by the end of the week and they gave me a DVD to mail after the end of my last scan. I was able to keep my doctor consult appointment (via video) that following week and my doctor had no complaints whatsoever with the quality of the imagery or the reports. I want to say thank you to all the staff there for getting me in under such short notice, working with my insurance, and getting the results to my doctor promptly. Well done. :) CB

Then enjoyed a conversation with one of the parents. The receptionist knew the patients and kept them informed as to the punctuality of the doctor being late due to a traffic accident. At our latest appointment Makeesha took a biopsy on my face and it was confirmed to be basal cell carcinoma. I had Mohs surgery along the side of my nose, near my eye by Dr. Sequeira who is Board Certified and very competent. During my prep and during surgery the surgeon was assisted by TJ. TJ was so personable and knowledgable about the type of surgery and what to expect. The area was very sensitive and TJ really helped me through it. He finished up my procedure by bandaging my wound and made certain I knew what to expect and how to care for my stitched wound until my follow up. The following week I saw Makeesha for my follow up. Prior to Makeesha checking my wound, TJ removed my stitches. He is so gentle & sympathetic that he makes the whole experience from start to finish tolerable. TJ is a true asset to Brevard Skin and Cancer as is Makeesha. I highly recommend Brevard Skin and Cancer to everyone!

She canceled on me a week before my appt saying my labs were fine. I waited months to get in to see a specialist of course. I am very familiar with RA as this runs in my family. If you are RF negative which both members in my family are then she will cancel. She goes by labs and will not even give you an exam. Her staff kept saying they had me do labs and they haven't (my PCP did). And not all the necessary labs that a rheumatologist would require even. Apparently she doesn't know you can be RF- and still have RA. Very unethical dr! She had the earliest new patient date to be seen and now I know why. Don't bother going to her if you want a intelligent dr that actually specializes in their field. I don't normally write reviews but this was very upsetting. Now I have to wait several more months to see another specialist.

I am so happy with her as a physician. The first time I came to talk about one issue but she found a couple "precancerous" spots and treated that too. Today I came for a full body exam for any skin cancer, since it is very common in my family. She also helped talk about a surgical scar I have that isn't healing normal.
