My sister and I both had foot surgery on the same day with Dr. Fishman, and it truly ended up being the best experience we could have asked for. He repaired two of my toes and took incredible care of both of us from start to finish. Dr. Fishman was professional, kind, and made us feel completely comfortable the whole time. This is an all-encompassing review of my experience over the past four months as a patient of Dr. Fishman, and I truly can't recommend him enough. From the very first appointment through surgery and recovery, he has been incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. He always takes the time to answer every question I have, even the ones that i know sound crazy or overly detailed, and never makes me feel rushed or dismissed. I actually flew all the way from my home in Chicago for both my orthotics consultation and molding appointments, and am currently staying out here for a month just so Dr. Fishman could perform my surgery because he's the only surgeon I trusted to do it. My sister and I even had surgery on the same day, and the entire team at the surgery center was amazing. They all had great attitudes, worked well together, spoke highly of Dr. Fishman. On top of that, I also got custom orthotics from Dr. Fishman back in December 2025 and I run my mouth about them to anyone who will listen. They are my favorite thing. I'd like to say how grateful and blessed I've been to have the opportunity finally meeting an incredible and amazing Dr Fishman and his wonderful office staff. He was the best and only Dr to help me through a difficult transition. Offering to do the surgery to finally start improving the condition and health healing process of my foot. I had many consultations with numerous surgeons before finally consulting with Dr Fishman. Dr Fishman has been very professional compassionate understanding and informative at each appointment supporting my concerns and meeting all my needs answering all questions. I've been very pleased and impressed with his time willingness and commitment to help me decide on surgery. I had a failed half done double neuroma surgery with a past orthopedic surgeon. The past surgeon caused deformities and Injuries to my bone that caused stiffness pan swelling and inability to walk or put weight on my foot for the last 7 months. I developed Complex regional pain syndrome and venous insufficiency from the last surgeon. Dr Fishman explained and examined my foot and took x-rays including a nerve test. All procedures were done in the convenience of his office. Dr Fishman took a great interest and was willing to proceed with surgery. He discussed my options and the best care treatment plan and outcome. I was extremely nervous and anxious due to my complex and complicated case and difficult outcome from a previous surgery that left me with disabilities and a very limited physical/active life with severe complications. My mental health was declining after months of pain and failed therapies from past Dr's. Thankful to Dr Fishman for providing me with another chance to live an independent active healthier life again. The surgery was extremely successful in more ways than I could possibly imagine or expect. Never once was I in pain after surgery. I never had to take pain medication. I had very little swelling. Being able to wiggle my toes for the first time in 7 months and walked on my foot the day after surgery. Dr Fishman has a very gentle hand removing stitches and administering different injections. Absolutely tolerable and comfortable for having my pain syndrome. This experience has helped each visit be more enjoyable compared to my past traumatic events. Now, let's get right to the point, Most of what I just wrote doesn't exactly matter...people go to a specialist for a very specific issue (usually pain) and Dr. Mike really knows his stuff. He was extremely honest with me about the possible treatment plans for my foot issue, and he didn't sugarcoat anything. He is direct without being a jerk, in fact, he's gentle and kind. Not long after that I tripped on a curb and broke my foot and had to have surgery to have a screw put in the bone. He did an amazing job! I can't express how awesome Dr. Fishman is. I went to see him after i started to have major ankle pain from an injury while attending a fitness boot camp. Turns out that I had a partially rupture achilles tendon. This was caused by a bone spur on the back of my ankle. After jumping thru hoops with my insurance i was able to get surgery to repair the tendon and shave down the spur. Dr. Fishman is so kind and personable that I had no worries or stress that all would work out. Now here it is 10 yrs later and no issues. I went to Dr. Fishman for my hammer toes. This after previously having my feet seen by another Podiatrist. Some of my toes were amputated at the first joint others completely, This same doctor wanted to continue major surgery on my other foot, after having decided this was the only course of action that would take care of the other hammer toes. Well it wasn't, only I didn't know this at the time. My wife insisted that I should get another opinion, that's where Dr Fishman came in. Dr Fishman suggested another course of action, something called a tenotomy, where instead of taking part of the bone out, a cut on the tendon of the toe is made and releases tension which in turn changes the shape from what it was to flat. Instead of doing this in a hospitals' surgical suite it's done in the office, with very little chance of infection. I didn't mention that during the last surgery prior to this I had a blood infection which put me in the hospital for 8 days. read more

My 10 year old daughter has suffered from re accruing ingrown toe nails. After going into podiatrists office and meeting with a doctor that wanted to put my her under anesthesia to remove her ingrown nail. I was scared and gave up on looking for a while. My story started with a fungus on my big toe, left untreated for years. I finally decided to do something about it, I went to my doctor, she gave me a prescription and the fungus disappeared. But my story doesn't end here, the nail never grew the same, instead it decided to grow everywhere. Yes, you guessed it, ingrown too. Out of the sudden, I had a big red, swollen, toe, hurt like nobody's business, I mean it had a beating heart, no joke. My son was told to see a podiatrist by a walk-in care facility for an ingrown toenail that had turned bad from waiting too long. I immediately got on Yelp to find the best podiatrist in town. Dr. Fishman's reviews were all excellent and current. I called Dr. Fishman's office on a Thursday and he was seen the following Monday. Lily, who answered the phone, was super nice, beyond helpful and confirmed my son's health insurance was accepted. I was able to download the registration forms off Dr. Fishman's website before the appointment, so it made things go easy the day of the appointment. So, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Fishman as a podiatrist! He was so friendly, nice, and explained everything that he was doing during the procedure of caring for the ingrown toenail. He made sure my son was doing good during the procedure and was very attentive to how my son was handling it. Dr. Fishman made sure everything was clean and sterile. It was a painless procedure, due to Dr. Fishman's care and taking his time. Dr. Fishman's assistant during the procedure (I want to say her name is Kayla, but not for sure) was super nice and sweet too. They both made my son and I feel comfortable and at ease. So glad I went to see Dr Fishman!! He & his staff are super nice & professional & the office is clean & convenient. That's great & definitely a show stopper but really this is all about what an amazing dr & experience I've had! I went to dr Fishman with a sore big toe - he immediately knew the issue but had me go over to his super Xray machine to confirm within minutes - I didn't have to go somewhere else to get X-rays. He told me I'd need bunion surgery- which didn't entirely surprise me. Dr Fishman gave me a recovery timeline & all of the details of the surgery making sure that I understood everything. He explained my X-rays & drew me pictures of what he was going to do. It wasn't about the bunion it was about the lack of cartilage to cause pain because my big toe didn't move. While other doctors had told me about fusing my toe & not running again - that was never the plan with Dr Fishman. I'd be getting a staple & back to running in 8 weeks. It's now been 6 weeks since surgery & I already got a short run in this past Saturday- per his full release! I felt great & am so happy I went to Dr Fishman!
