Installers came on time, after Charlotte called 1 hour prior to inform me of a possible delay. Install team was productive, clean and mindful of our freshly painted walls. When they were done they clean the newly installed floor and floors to and from the work area. We would use Charlotte and the crew again.

Found a sample I loved. It was branded Xulon Flooring - Maribor. Never heard of them so I did extensive research to determine where product was manufactured. Told by competitor that Xulon does not actually manufacture floors, it is made elsewhere and rebranded by Expressive and their sister store Woodwudy in Fayetteville. When we obtained the floors, confirmed it was actually made by HomeLife Flooring in Adairsville GA, so that made me feel good. Love that we are supporting GA businesses. I understand that this may be a standard business practice, and not necessarily devious, I felt like they were evasive with information and provided some misleading information when I directly asked. I am a little skeptical, and was nervous about using them based on the Yelp/Google reviews, however I loved the product so I decided to take a leap of faith. Was told it would take a full week for installation, and would require rental of expensive machinery to remove tile. In reality, crew consisted of 3 men. No expensive machines. They were awesome. Took 2 full days to remove tile, build up subfloor, lay LVP and trim. Just over 800 square feet. Overall, pleased with the end result. Would have preferred more transparency in information from salespeople. Price was competitive, end product is beautiful, started when promised, completed 3 days earlier than promised.

My wife and I were in the process of having our dream home built. As part of the process we had to…read moremeet with Regina Ostrom with Five Star Flooring, to select our backsplash and flooring. My wife had a vision of an all white kitchen with gray flooring, so when Regina presented the options, which were limited to a panel of four flooring options, she immediately inquired about gray flooring. We were told that these were the ONLY options the builder would allow. Again, we inquired multiple times about other options and even asked, "if these are our only options". Which her response was, "yes". Being the persistent person my wife is, she specifically inquired about the LVP flooring, for color options and the fact we have a dog and were worried about the hardwood being easily scratched. Which she responded, "the builder would not allow because it brings down the value of the home". And brought out polish to show us what to use on scratches for the hardwood flooring. A few months later on a visit to the house to check on the progress, the counters were being installed and we were advised to go to the house next door to get an idea of what it would look like. To our surprise and shock, they had a hardwood flooring option that we were not presented with and had that been the case, we would have selected that flooring option because it was the color we were looking for. When we spoke to Regina about why we weren't presented with this particular option she said, "I should have said something" and "I didn't offer upgrade options because you never said you didn't like the floors". However, we did inquire about other options multiple times and asked if these were our ONLY options, and was never offered any other options or upgrades. She also mentioned our budget, which we never disclosed to her. We can only conclude she made an assumption about what we were willing to spend, and I'm not really sure what that assumption was based on, which is another concern. Interestingly enough, we were presented with multiple upgrade options for backsplash in our kitchen and tile floors without asking. During a follow up conversation with Regina to see what could be done, she responded with "there is nothing I can do and you will need to speak with the owner." Regina stated that she would provide my contact information to him and he would call me Monday morning. Unfortunately, I never got to speak with the manager. While the floors are GREAT quality, it just wasn't our first option, and wished we were treated better than how Regina treated us. The customer service wasn't a great experience. That is why we wouldn't recommend this company. We do know builders contract this company and you may not be able to get around that. If not, just be sure you ASK TO SEE THE UPGRADES.

If you don't mind your water flowing into your bathroom from a poorly installed shower floor, and…read moreif you don't mind that the corners and floor seams were not properly caulked, and if you don't mind that grout was splattered all over the walls and left to dry on it, and if you don't mind that they refused to even come and look at the problem, and if you don't mind they never had their boss call you back, then this is the place for you. We did indeed go past the one year warranty (though I was never told of this policy), but COVID hit and workers to finish the plumbing weren't available and my own regular plumber had knee replacement surgery then a heart attack so we only finished the bathroom in December (2 1/2 years after the flooring was put in). The day after our plumbing was finished, I tried out my new shower and stood there and watched the water pouring out into the bathroom floor. I have invoices showing that the plumber finished the job on Thursday, took a showerr on Friday morning, then called the flooring company. He said they would not even come look at it because they were not responsible. Then insulted me by suggesting that my house might have some issues that caused the problem. If anyone suggests you hire this company, run away as fast as possible. Now I'm stuck with paying to have the old tile removed, floor atlered to give it a slope toward the drain instead of the door, and then buying all new tile and paying for that installation. I'm surprised they can stay in business. If I could give them a minus 5 stars that's what my review would be.

8,997 flooring project remains unresolved…read more In January 2021, my husband and I hired Best Friends Flooring, LLC, owned by Stephen Wines, to provide and install Painted Desert LVP throughout our main level. We paid $8,997 in full. Before we purchased the flooring, Stephen described it in writing as a "premium floor" and "maintenance free." The flooring problems became significant in 2026. In June, we contacted Stephen and sent pictures of the issues we were having. On July 8, 2026, Kevin Barwick of Georgia Flooring Outlet contacted us and requested pictures. After reviewing them, he responded on July 13 that it looked like there could be a moisture issue in the subfloor and that he wanted to come out and do moisture testing. On July 17, Kevin came to our home, inspected the flooring, and performed moisture testing. During that visit, he told us that the entire floor would need to be replaced because there was no vapor barrier beneath the flooring and moisture was getting underneath it and contributing to the failure. After not hearing back from Kevin as expected, I contacted Stephen on July 22 for an update. Stephen told me that the full replacement had been changed to a localized repair of the breakfast-nook area because matching flooring had been found. We had questions about how repairing one area would address the other flooring problems we had already documented. On July 29, Kevin provided his written findings. He stated that, in his opinion, the absence of a moisture barrier was the reason for the flooring failure and that the moisture present was enough to cause a failure. He also stated that replacement should include a vapor barrier. On July 31, we were told that the claim had been resolved. Stephen was copied on that communication. No repair was scheduled. No replacement was completed. No refund was provided. In September, we continued documenting the condition of the flooring, including problems in the kitchen, dining room, entryway and living-room areas--not just the breakfast nook. On September 9, Stephen was at my workplace for other work and was there to provide another quote to finish a job. When he saw me, he asked me for an update on the flooring. I reminded him that he had been copied on the July 31 email stating that the claim had been resolved. He told me he would speak with Kevin Barwick and the owners. I have not heard from him since. We have since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and served formal notice under the Georgia Right to Repair Act, along with photographs and supporting documentation. As of today, the flooring is still damaged and still in our home. No one has contacted us to schedule a repair, arrange a replacement, or offer a refund. We paid $8,997 for this flooring project. We are not asking for an upgrade or additional compensation. We want the money we already paid so we can hire a contractor of our choosing to replace the flooring and restore our home. We should not have to pay for the same flooring project twice. We gave Best Friends Flooring months and multiple opportunities to resolve this privately before posting this review. This is what happened to us, this is the condition our flooring is still in, and this is why we are sharing our experience.
