Swimming pool repair. Gave David Monroe a check for 2300 on February 14 for liner. He never did the repairs. His mailbox is always full, when I call him from a different number he answers and promises he will come by, but the rain has been his excuse. He took our money and has not done anything. I hired a contractor to help with the installation of a pool liner that I bought from Royal Swimming Pool, using the measurements from the previous liner. Mr. Monroe came by to check the dimensions before I finalized my order. However, he didn't take any measurements himself; I simply shared the old ones with him, and he reassured me they would work. He instructed me to contact him once the liner arrived. He provided an invoice detailing the work he planned to carry out, which included replacing the sand in the filter and changing the filter's top. He also offered a two-year warranty on his services, with a total cost of $1,650. When he showed up to start the job, he unexpectedly claimed that he couldn't move forward without cementing the bottom of the pool and treating it for ants. When I asked about the cost for this additional work, he quoted me $1,000. Feeling pressured, I reluctantly agreed. He then brought in 12 bags of porter cement, and his team worked for just a couple of hours. The next day, when he returned to install the pool liner, he stated it was too large to fit and insisted that I pay him in full right away, even though he had only partially completed the installation. He also took the filter's port with him without changing the sand in the filter. He demanded payment before leaving, and I felt intimidated with three men present. Mr. Monroe was loud and forceful in his demands. To accommodate me, he offered to order the liner himself and charged me only $750 for the second installation. He mentioned that if he had to measure the pool, it would cost extra, as he wouldn't work for free. Before he left, I asked about the sand replacement in the filter, and he claimed it would be done during the second liner installation. I reminded him that his initial visit was supposed to involve both the liner installation and filter repairs, which had not occurred at all. I felt quite intimidated by the presence of those three men. Later, the pool company confirmed that the measurements were correct but noted that the installer had not hung the liner properly. I reached out to the installer for a refund, but he hung up on me. Now, I need to hire another installer to correctly hang the liner in my pool, totaling $2,650 out of pocket. I found a new installer who, within a few hours of prepping the pool bottom, successfully installed the same liner without any wrinkles--contrary to Mr. Monroe's claims that it would be impossible and that wrinkles would be everywhere if he attempted it. My new installer was astonished that Mr. Monroe abandoned the job midway and speculated that his motivation may have been monetary. I have to agree. read more

The guy comes out and does the survey gives you an estimate how much the job will cost then he that you give him half of it upfront. You half of the money have a hard time of getting in touch back to do the rest and you will not return your money back. I give this company two thumbs down.
