I've slowly migrated to Michael Kors from another mainstream leather brand that maintains a shop in the same Vacaville outletland. Is this due to his appearances on Project Runway or some carefully placed ads in Marie Claire? Who knows but, I'm so glad when this outlet popped up in VV earlier this year! I simply LOVE the bags here - they're edgy with soft supple leather and hardware accents. I love leather and chains (in handbags and not anything else!) and Michael Kors does a great job of weaving leather and chains for handles or adding that little metal accent for a subtle pop of detail. Although this store has some outlet specific merchandise, there are a few bags that will make the trek from retailand to outletland (and then to me!). The sales associates are very helpful and knowledgeable about the brand. If you come in carrying a MK bag, they'll be more than happy to discuss your bag and offer care solutions. I'm very satisfied with the bags and customer service at this outlet. That's why I chose to brave the hour and half wait on Black Friday here for a cream colored ruched leather bag with chain handles than at another handbag store with a mile long line. read more

BUYER BEWARE Bought a purse cor my birthday. Apparently, no returns on clearance. Well, I really love the purse so I bought it. Just so you know there is no where on the reciept that says "no return" except for final sale and "if you are not satisfied with the product, you may return it within 30 days." The cashier got a new one from the back which I was so appreciative. When I get home, The new purse don't have any tag. While at home, I put on the crossbody, walk in my room & looked in the mirror and after a fee minutes, my neck and shoulder where the strap was touching are getting red and itchy. So, I put it back in the paperbag it came with. Went back to the store in 5 days. The cashier said, "this is clearance, no returns". I told her that this purse is giving me a rash. I asked for the manager, she didn't even want to come. The cashier said, I'm sorry, no returns! Called the customer service line. Told them what happened. Gave me the instructions to contact customer care via email. They replied and said,"we value our products and stand by it's quality". Then they responded the 2nd time and stated "this was purchased from a store, please go back to the store" In essence, the store and customer service department are both useless. Will never buy any Michael Kors Products at all. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I came here last Sunday. As usual, it was a madhouse. But the sales associate named Layfette (sp ?) was a ray of sunshine; he was very helpful and genuinely cheerful. Another positive is that if they have it; they will give you a brand new unopened "still in the original packaging" merchandise. I purchased a brand new Weston handbag that was on clearance. But as I stood in line, the line cutters got over on me. As I pointed this out to the cashier she ignored me. (What a headache!?!) Layfette witnessed this and came over to ring me up on the other register. Suggestion to management: 1) to maintain order, put up ropes and a sign to distinguish a line 2) train the cashier to look up once in awhile to see who actually is in line or bum rushing it 3) tell customers that clearance items are final sales prior to telling them at the register read more

Best customer service I've had in a store. I asked the sales associate standing in front of the watches if he could help me change the number of links in my MK watch since it was too large and he solemnly said no. Embarrassed, I tried walking away and he says, just kidding, it's been a slow day at work. He takes it to the back since it was stuck. I walk around and another male sales associate notices I'm looking at a nautical looking bag and he goes on a rant about them. I sometimes wonder if he even worked for MK since he didn't have a name tag, but given his knowledge of the bag, I assumed he was. Employee said ALL clearance was 60% off. Went to register with an item from clearance, waiting 20 minutes in line, by the time I got to the front turns out that part of the clearance section was excluded. Employees could be clearer. read more

Great place to visit if you're looking for a deal as the items are at least 25% off. It was my first time there and I found most of the staff to be friendly. The sales professional Zeresh is the go-to girl! She is very knowledgeable, passionate about the products and very approachable. The store has a slightly small footprint, so I can see it getting crammed on the busy shopping weekends. If you want to shop without feeling like you're in someone's way, go in the morning or during the week. read more

Came in on a late Friday afternoon with my mom for a girls shopping trip. It surprises me how there can be a gang of 8 or 9 workers there when the store isn't busy at all and not one of the workers acknowledge that you're standing there waiting for them to finish their personal conversation so you can ask a question about a product. L-O-V-E I had no problem with this outlet..Yes the stuff is clearly last year etc..., but it's an outlet not the real deal, so if you want this years items go to a regular MK store and pay full price..The outlet itself is bright and exciting to the eye.. I had no issues with the sales people at all..except for the fact that a lot of the pretty girls were just kind of standing around looking bored..I was helped and advised by a clerk named Leilani (forgive spelling) she was great..She was not pushy at all, very informative. I came in here today with my family to make a bathroom stop and do a little shopping since we were on the road going back home. We come in and the customer service from the beginning to end was awesome. The gals are really helpful and I couldn't really find what I wanted but they tried helping me until I found something. I really liked these skinny black pants but unfortunately didn't have my size so, I just ended up just getting a new wallet for one of my bags I own. My mom and sister ended up buying cute pants, sweaters, lovely trench coat, tops and two cute bags. Waited outside for over an hour on Black Friday. Line was calm, no drama. Get inside and asked for help. Found what I was looking for. Followed up with another question and got what I needed. Cashier line sped through fairly well considering the amount of people. Cashier was very polite and quickly explained return/exchange policy. After what was probably a long day and even a longer night cleaning up that store, just wanted to give props to the doorman, sales associates that I got assistance from and from my cashier. For me, they were all extremely polite, answered my questions quickly and provided me with help immediately. I would understand if staff was stressed but I didn't see it. After moving away from Davis, I haven't had the chance to go to the outlets very often. In fact, in the past 6 months or so, I've been to the outlets/Vacaville 3 times. 1st time, I was looking for dress shirts from DKNY with my gf. I ended up buying her a purse and a wallet from Michael Kors. I didn't buy any dress shirts. 2nd time, I was looking for dress shoes from Cole Haan with my gf. I ended up buying her a purse from Michael Kors. I didn't buy any dress shoes. 3rd time, gf was looking for shorts from True Religion. I ended up buying her a purse and a wallet from Michael Kors. She didn't get the shorts, and I got nothing for myself. See a pattern? I'm starting to... finally. To give this store some credit, and to make myself feel better for being a bit slow, they do have a nice selection at a slight discount and the staff are all friendly (Michael, Megan, etc). This eases my buyer's remorse. I'm fairly certain that my 4th trip to the outlets will mean a 4th purse for the lady, but that's ok. I recently visited this location. I am an avid MK buyer and to say the least I was very pleased with this outlet store. The woman who helped me was very pleasant to speak with and welcoming. I already knew what bag I was looking for and I did not feel over whelmed with information, greeting etc as I have in the past at other locations. My hubby recently purchased a bag for me with a matching wallet for my bday (he has good taste, and you could say I trained him well). Well about 3 months later one of the threads on the side came loose and I went into the store, was greeted by a very friendly employee who I explained the problem to and she quickly got the manager. The manager came over and provided the best customer service, looked into the problem and changed my purse for me. Never had I had a problem resolved so quickly at any other retail store. I spent more time switching my items over to the new purse than talking to the employees! I didn't catch the manager or the other employees name, but customer service like this keep us coming back. Most horrible experience!!!! After receiving my first watch from this outlet I will never come back again. My girlfriend went in yesterday and bought me the solid gold watch, 300 dollar watch!!! I go in today, to get links removed because it was very big on me. I was instantly greeted by a pretty latin girl with long hair and glasses she begins to ask me questions on how I wanted it to fit, also referring that she has the same one and shows me how she likes hers a little big. She goes to the back, I wait around and she comes back and puts it on my wrist. I say thank you and walk out the store as I'm walking to the car I take off the watch to put back in the box. As I do, I notice scratches and crust build up, the color looks worn off. IT IS NOT THE WATCH I BROUGHT IN. I'm confused at this point, go back in to ask if they put it through a machine because it is clearly ruined, the same girl who did it says no but that she "noticed" it when she was taking the links off. She asks if she can clean it I say no and walk out. But as Im walking out I just know something isn't right so I go back in for a third time and the same girl that helped me just happens to be "on break" so the manager talks to me. I tell her the situation and she tells me the girl is one of her best and would never switch the watches. Hmm okay but how is a watch purchased no less than 24 hours ago look this way? The watches displayed are in perfect condition. The manager begins to question me as if I'm wrong, "are u sure this isn't the watch you brought in?" "Do you want to see the security cameras?" Yeah sure because she is definetely going to do it in front of your cameras. I am not a thief and I am not dumb so I will not tolerate for her to tell me these things and treat me as if she's superior. Meanwhile all the other workers are looking at me is if I'm crazy. I will NOT let my girlfriends hard earned money go down the drain. She swaps out the watch for me but it's the simple fact that this whole situation could've been avoided.
