I called them back later that day and the next day, the manager did not bother to get on the phone with me but was relaying messages to Megan on the phone. They assured me they would be calling me back. The next day. I received a text message letting me know it would be six more weeks and the manager would update me. I had yet to talk to a manager or receive an apology. I texted back that it was unacceptable since they already had it 6 weeks and they lost it. They said they would try to get it done as soon as possible. Two weeks later I was informed the manager would be picking up the instrument and would contact me. A week later Gabe contacted me and was very apologetic for the situation. This was the first apology that I had received. Gabe is the reason this review got one star. He went above and beyond to apologize, communicate and called me more than once. I did get the instrument back. However, when I went to go pick it up, Megan acted like she did not want to help me or recognize that I was in the store. I paid over $300 to have the instrument fixed and my daughter informed me not all the pads were replaced. Very disappointed in this music store and the customer service received. Surely, the best way to become a great pianist would be to pay the most attention to piano basics and hardcore techniques, hence playing scales, technical studies, Sonatas, other numerous technical exercises which can open the path to even having a whole career in music. I have a lot of students that put their piano technique at the top of their priority list. Although, there are also those who need something different. One may want to learn how to play by chords, improvise, transcribe music or make piano covers like that YouTuber Rousseau. You never know what talent may be uncovered when the teacher lets a student be oneself, be unique and receive the best information and skills needed for them to strive! I come from Ukraine where I received my formal education and diploma in Piano Performance and Teaching. It's been 11 years since I moved to Sacramento (Antelope, CA) and started teaching full-time. I miss my country a lot, and I also miss the high standards of music education that was established deep in our culture there. My MIL painted this door harp many years ago but never finished completing the strings and wires…read more We found it tucked away amongst her belongings after she passed away and vowed we'd complete it. We bought an unfinished door harp online and tried to use the parts from it to complete the project. It was an epic fail. We could not get the correct tension on the correct wire as hard as we tried. We stumbled across a store called the Strum Shop in old town Roseville on our way to lunch. Yesterday we picked the door harp up. It will be hung in our home as is a beautiful reminder of her, thanks to the Strum Shop. Highly recommend this shop and their services. Friendly people and quality work.
