I loved my previous doctor but it was always quite a mission to get to see her (extra long wait times being the worst) so I went on a quest to find a new doctor. I was pleased to find this office as it was clean, closer to home, had more than one doctor, several employees, performed lab tests and X-rays on site, provided physical therapy and even had some sort of pharmacy. Long story short, after going to 3 appointments I haven't decided to go back as I feel my main concerns were never addressed. I also felt, as other yelpers mentioned, they were quite worried about insurance coverage. I have pretty good coverage and I truly feel that is the reason why they didn't address all of my issues from the beginning and wanted me to keep coming back. Another problem I encountered was the wait time. It was never more than half hour while in lobby, but definitely long once inside the room. I've been coming to see Dr Monica for almost 3 years now. It's quite an experience.The physical therapy section has up-to-date equipment, Dr Monica surrounds herself with a professional staff that's knowledgeable and caring, and the people working up front are very nice. I've had a couple of issues with scheduling before and not getting reminders about my appointment but nobody's perfect. Do not bother with these people, the doctors are great and all but the front office people will make sure you get surprise bills even with insurance. I scheduled a regular checkup and they noted it was an "emergency" visit, I was in perfectly good health. I had asked in the front office what my insurance covered and the lady said 70/30 without mentioning the deductible, after they did pretty much everything they informed me I would need to pay $1200 for the deductible, neither I or the person I was with were told this at any moment when we asked about the cost prior to the visit. So I left having paid $1200 for a checkup.. next thing I know I get another bill for $900 in the mail. I call in and the office manager says It was $900 because it was an "energency visit", I explain I was in perfectly good health when my friend scheduled the appointment and that I was there with the person when she scheduled the appointment and never did she say it was an "energency". I told this to the office manager and she called me a liar and that she would send the bill to collections. So if you don't want to face a personal bankruptcy or bad credit simply stay away from these people, they are only in it for the money. read more

be careful with this office! double check your EOB's and make sure they're not over charging you. I went there once, i got charged $600 for regular blood work, because they decided not to send it to the lab that's contracted with my insurance. i didn't want to fight with them i just paid them. Never went there. After a conversation with my twin, i found out that he goes to the office of dr. ross, i warned him and told him to pay attention and sure enough he also stopped attending there due to unnecessary charges. they're more concerned about your insurance than your health read more

The Staff and the doctors seem very attentive and the office is clean and modern. The wait time is the normal, thirty minutes wait time. I saw Dr Castro he was really nice and had a good demeanor, however I sensed a sales vibe from him. I do agree to do yearly checks for general preventative care, but I felt like when your going to get your oil change and then they throw in a bunch of other stuff and then you end up paying way over $$$ just for regular oil change. I have been a patient of Dr. Michael Ross and Dr. Luis Castro for 10 years. They are both caring and concerned about my health. Their office is very beautiful and they offer many services in the office like laboratory and x-ray and pharmacy. I became very sick and called and was given an appointment the same day. After doing test in the office Dr. Ross told me I had to go to the hospital. I was so happy to see that Dr. Ross was the doctor that came to see me in the hospital and took care of me. He spoke to my family and came to see me every day. I can't imagine having to go through what I went through without my family doctor right by my side. This is priceless! My family and I had been coming here for about 5 years and the drs have always been great! Very thorough and covers my issues. The problem is they have now dropped us because we questioned their billing policies . We received their "professional letter" but basically it says screw you we aren't treating you anymore! The final straw was my $275.00 Shingrix vaccine. Long story short, they didn't reimburse me the 100% until my insurance got involved. Even though my insurance covered 100% the day i got it they had me sign a paper telling me i would be reimbursed "don't worry" they said it's just s formality. My insurance reimbursed me the initial cost of the vaccine $176.92 but as told by the manager they keep "their cut". Not acceptable! Other instances over the years were excessive bills. The beginning of the year my husband had to sign a paper to say he agrees that if any bills go to collections the charges will automatically be doubled! I have been seeing Dr. Castro for the past couple of weeks for neck, shoulder, back, hand and arm pain from bulging discs in my neck. Very nice Dr. personable and caring. I hate going to a Dr. and had avoided going for years until there was no avoiding it with this issue. He took charge of the problem right away and ordered X-rays. MRI's and did not rush in explaining the problem and answering my questions. He also did tests that I have neglected for years, Elecrocardio, cholesterol ect.. and was concerned with my overall health. Mammogram scheduled yuck. I liked him a lot and all the workers that keep the office running at the front desk and that weigh you and take blood pressure ect. are very pleasant. I don't know any Spanish and every worker there I have heard speak fluently in both English and Spanish which is sometimes not easy when making appts. at some Dr.s and Dentists. I have never had to wait a long time and they have squeezed me in right away when I was in a lot of pain that left me unable to sleep and had an appt. 2 days away even though they were full. I feel very lucky to have found this Dr.s office. I have not seen Dr. Ross yet but I like the fact that if one is on vaca and I still need to see a Dr. that it is not a lone Dr,s office, but does not have that impersonal feel that some very large group offices have. They have a lab in office and you will get results of most tests the day they are taken which is nice as I had a blood test scheduled from an OBGYN doctor with no lab on site that week and I was able to cancel that and get it done here. read more

my husband and me had an appointment on 12/30/14, I am complaining about the office's personnel, they knew that BCBS did not approve the service and any way they continue and ask us to go inside, when we got there they had the insurance information, since they mentioned that they asked BCBS about our benefits, they spoke with someone there and these ladies said that we do not have the benefits, I called right away my insurance and they told me that we have the benefits, sadly we end up paying $250.00 and the most wierd thing is that doctor Castro gave us prescriptions without having blood test done, no cholesterol, no A1C, they got urine sample and by today we haven't get any result, what I confirm one more time is that here the doctors and their personnel forgot about their duties, and if their personnel is verifying the patient's information they must let the patient know ahead of time, so we can decide what to do. What do I learn? That I am the customer (not patient), the boss, so I decide to fire them all, uncluding rhe doctor. I hope the customer relation person get in contact with me. I went to Dr. Castro for a few years and I think he was the best doctor I've had ever. The doctor is the one who always did my blood work and it never hurt. When blood work came back he would go over it with me and explain anything that was wrong. this office has the by far the worst front desk receptionists i have ever spoken to in my life. on wednesday i set up an appointment on their website for friday and asked how much is a first time consultation, i left my email/number, waited 2 days and received nothing. i called prior to my appointment time on friday and found out that i'm not even on the system. i went ahead and asked her how much would it cost, she said, "i don't know, from $125-$225". i was so shocked from her response, that had to pause and process what i just heard. not because of the price, because she told me she didn't know... i then asked what can make that price fluctuate. once again, i received "i don't know" as my answer... i paused again.. at this point i'm getting frustrated. lastly, i told her, "i have x-rays at hand and all i really want to know is if the doctor can see them, and offer me treatment for my scoliosis or refer me to another specialist. will i still have to pay the consultation fee"?. guess what her response was....you guessed it, i don't know ... i immediately asked her name, she said "sophia", i said, :sophia what?.. she said "ugh" and hung up on me. i called back infuriated and another girl picked up. i immediately asked her name, she said"lila", i then asked if sophia was around, i couldn't believe what i heard next... "lila" told me, that there is no "sophia" that worked in that office.... wow... i told her what happened and she apologized for the inconvenience and offered to help me. at this point i told myself, "let me drop it, i really need to see an osteopath and this place has awesome reviews so lets give 'lila' a try" after telling her my situation i asked how much for the first time consultation, lila said, "$75+" as i was speaking she asked me if i can be put on hold and without my consent goes ahead and puts me on hold. wow, can you say rude? while on hold, the call ends. hmmmmmmm... the third, time my mother calls the office and "katherine" picked up. my mother told her everything that had happened and katherine offered to help. when my mother asked how much for the consultation, katherine said, "$100" in conclusion, we spoke to 3 different receptionists, "sophia" "lila" and "katherine. the reason i put " " is because none of them happen to be on the staff according to their site; http://www.rossmedicalgroup.com/index.php?dispatch=pages.view&page_id=8 one of them (sophia) which didn't exist, was rude, unhelpful and did the #1 thing you should never do, hang up on a customer/patient.. i was told 3 different prices and when i thought it couldn't get worse, i was told the next available appointment was 2 weeks later considering the fact that i had set up my appointment on their own site prior to this entire mess. i am well aware that this review pertains only to the front desk staff but in all honesty at this point i am so disappointed that i could care less to see the doctor's. everyone in the ross medical group is a "team" right?, well let me tell you something dr. ross and dr. castro (captains of the team)... 'your team is only as strong as your weakest player" i hope you consider this information and cut some people from your team because needless to say, they're a horrible representation of the company and you. i wouldn't want people like that working on my team but that is just me. on another note, your website looks very fancy and your reviews are perfect. you guys looked good from afar, but as i got closer, not so much.
