I was strongly encouraged to use medical providers referred by the firm instead of my own health insurance. I was told that using my insurance could result in more money being taken from my settlement, but the full financial consequences of using lien-based providers were not clearly explained to me. When the case settled, the medical charges were extremely high and significantly reduced the amount I received. I repeatedly had to ask for a clear breakdown of the settlement, medical bills, costs, and distribution. I also requested an electronic copy of my complete case file because I wanted to understand how my case had been handled. The explanations I received did not resolve my concerns about the charges or why my share was so much lower than I expected. Clients should be given accurate information about all treatment options, including the potential costs of attorney-referred providers versus using their own insurance. They should also receive clear and timely accounting without having to push for basic answers. This review reflects my personal experience and the communications and settlement documents I received. I am extremely disappointed and would advise potential clients to ask detailed questions, compare medical costs, obtain everything in writing, and carefully review every lien before agreeing to treatment.

So when you go into your chain grocery stores, like Safeway for one, all over the US, look to see if their "sushi" is made by Southern Tsunami (AFC). It most likely is. If you go to their web site they are all over the map! Safeway for one, carries this brand "sushi" at their sushi bar. I was really taken aback when I read the fine print of ingredients on the package that read: "Tuna treated with carbon monoxide! "I was like WTF! So I reasearched it. NOT GOOD! Japan banned that practice in 1997 and Europe last year! How can this company say they carry the highest quality sushi when it is treated with a carcinogen? I certainly am staying clear of it, and now ask sushi places if their fish is processed that way. Most shrug. They don't want to be found out. I value my health. So should you. Be a snoop, your body thanks you. I have tried several times to contact them on this and they just ignore the request for a response - speaks volumes to me!

Sure enough I figure "hell safeway is around the corner, lets sate my hunger with a cold beer and whatever is there. Immediately!! there it is! Glorious, wonderful, SUSHI!! Man, did it look tasty, hell, even pretty, but something in my head claws at me and says "dude, it's totally prepackaged and who knows when they made it, sure the exp date is tomorrow but meh...." Well I really wanted some sushi and sure enough it was the most awful piece of roll my tongue had ever graced upon. I mean this thing was foul, like wayyyy too fishy. I've been trying different kinds of sushi for weeks, almost daily, and ive had bad and good, but this was just not edible. I had to throw it out, eight dollars down the crapper, and I am hurting cuz payday is 2 days away. Anyways I did my research and these clowns really do treat their tuna and sushi with chemicals to keep it looking fresh. It might be harmless but they do this to make it difficult to see if the tuna turns brown or bad. Now to me they can add tobacco ash, monkey brains, fingers, whatever and I wont care if it's delicious, I am not a picky person. However what I can't take is when something tastes not only bad, but expired, and companies half ass it as alright. Long story short, go the extra mile and get real take out from a good sushi place, this just happens to be one of those things you can't cut corners on.

From the moment we called Avner Gat, everything changed. They stepped in as our advocate and immediately began moving the claim forward. Craig Yorizane took the time to explain the entire process, set realistic expectations, and guide us through every step. Craig worked incredibly hard and was thoughtful and strategic in handling our claim. He anticipated potential setbacks before they happened and was prepared to address them. When delays required our temporary housing to be extended several times, Craig stayed on top of everything and made sure we were taken care of. He consistently went above and beyond for us. What stood out most was that we genuinely felt Craig was looking out for our best interests. He was knowledgeable, responsive, honest, and professional throughout an extremely stressful situation. The insurance claim process can feel overwhelming and, at times, as though it is designed to wear you down. Having Craig and the team at Avner Gat in our corner made an enormous difference. They made the process manageable, and most importantly, we never felt like we were facing it alone. Craig Yorizane is an exceptional professional and someone we came to trust completely. We are incredibly grateful for everything he did for us and recommend Craig and Avner Gat without reservation.

We had heard about Avner Gat through their radio commercials and decided to call after the mitigation team hired by the insurance company removed about a third of our kitchen cabinets, our island, part of our hardwood floor, and made a two foot flood cut throughout the affected area. We quickly realized this was more than my husband and I could handle on our own. From the beginning, Craig was honest with us about what to expect and told us we would probably be working together for about a year. He was right. Our claim closed just over the one year mark. What I appreciated most was that Craig truly stood up for us. When the insurance company would not commit to temporary housing, he pushed to get us into a nice hotel and made sure our food expenses and overnight parking for two cars were covered until a comparable home could be found. He also arranged for our packing and storage and took away so much of the frustrating back and forth with the insurance adjusters. Craig is calm, honest, personable and persistent when he needs to be. Most importantly, he genuinely cares about his clients. There is no way my husband and I could have gotten the results Craig did on our own. Our final settlement was beyond what we expected, and after a very long year, we have a beautiful kitchen and our home back. I would not hesitate to recommend Craig to anyone dealing with a complicated insurance claim.

After our initial call at the end of January, Michelle's response time slowed but as the months went on, it got even worse. At times, there were weeks in between me reaching out and her responding. There were also three times in which we scheduled a call, and she did not call me at the scheduled time. Each time there was a different excuse. After several months of back and forth and a lot of flexibility on my end, I reached out asking when we can finalize the process. This past Wednesday, Michelle sent me a text asking if I was available for a call on Friday. I responded to her text immediately with three time options. No response. The following day, she responded in the afternoon (with an excuse for the delay) and I confirmed that 11:30am the next day worked for me. No response. Of course, the next day (today) she did not call as scheduled. In fact, I did not hear from her at all until I reached out at approximately 2:30pm, three hours after our schedule appointment. I informed her that I was disappointed in the lack of communication and also the fact that was not the first time it had happened. Instead of validating that my experience as a customer has not been favorable, she became defensive and told me "I could have called her" and that if I was disappointed by "a couple missed calls" then should have someone else do my taxes. As of today, I have officially decided to take my business elsewhere and I would suggest you do the same if you would like a professional experience.
