This place is the way to go and we need a lot more pistol/rifle ranges like this and less of the brick and mortar indoor ranges with steep fees and time limits. I believe you have to use their ammo in them brick and mortar corporations. Indiana isn't great when it comes to shooting ranges like the Linden Conservation Club. They do it right and we need a LOT more ranges/clubs like Linden. Keep up the solid work guys. I will be back when I get the funds. I highly recommend the Linden Conservation Club. I did not even know there is a difference between shooting trap and sporting clay. The lady at the counter is very helpful. She explained that they have a sporting clay course that consists of 12 stations along a wooded path. We will follow the path on a map and find the different shooting stations. Since we have never been out here, she also came out to a station to show us how to use the wired as well as wireless clay throwers. I am so glad we came out to shoot that day! It was a chilly but sunny day. The course winds through some very pretty terrain including valleys and open fields. It is well maintained. All but one of the thrower switches were in good working order. I want to compare it to golf: you walk along a path and accomplish a goal at each station. Each station has random degrees of difficulty. There are two or three electronic throwers at each station. You can choose to throw one or two clay at a time...depending on your skill. I am a first timer...needless to say, I did not get lucky too many times. But hubby, who is not a first timer, LOVED the course and everything about it. He had the biggest grin on his face I have ever seen! Yes, we will definitely be back for more.

I see some 1 or 2 star reviews and I have to wonder who these people talked to. It could be the night staff that I don't know about since I normally shoot during the day time. When the range sold we were apprehensive what the new owner would be like. He's a great guy. I would like to suggest that anyone that had a "bad" time - give it another shot - call and talk to Yan or Bill or Mark (Mark talks low so he's hard to hear at times but he KNOWS guns). They are very safety conscious there and that's really one of the most important things.

The property was laid out nicely with paved walking and golf cart trails. The staff was very knowledgeable on the guns they offered, they also had a HUGE selection of shotguns, hand guns, and a few rifles both new and used. Although most of what they offered was out of my price range, they were cheaper than many other gun stores I've been to. I would highly recommend you stop by for a fun filled afternoon and shoot some clay pigeons.

If they didn't like the price I threw out to them for the guns, they could have just explained that they couldn't come close to that, but that they could offer a lower amount. Instead the guy, who I think is the owner rudely said, "I don't want either!" And conveyed with his tone to just get them out of his sigh.
