While this experience was better than our previous non-pediatric dentist, there are important areas that need improvement if this office is going to continue being recommended for autistic children. For example, once I informed the receptionist that my son is on the spectrum, we should have automatically been placed in the quiet room rather than starting in a large, open space and being moved later. That initial environment matters. Waiting times were also longer than ideal. I understand delays happen, but extended waiting significantly increases anxiety for many children on the spectrum and should be factored into scheduling decisions. During the appointment, the pace felt rushed, and there was limited effort to walk my child through each step before it happened. For many neurodivergent children, preparation and slower transitions aren't optional -- they are essential. Taking an extra few minutes to explain and move gradually could make a significant difference in the overall experience. Additionally, the office itself appears rundown and in need of a deep clean, fresh paint, and attention to the lobby area. A calming, well-maintained environment is part of creating a sensory-considerate space. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and the dentist answered my questions thoroughly and provided helpful recommendations for supporting my child's dental care at home. My hope in sharing this is that the practice will consider additional autism-specific training and more intentional systems so families who seek them out for this reason truly receive the level of support they expect and deserve.

I learned so much as a parent and he provided examples that he does with his own kids so it's totally relatable. The office: so much fun for kids. A tv, tablets, books, toys, and a video machine. My little one loved watching super mario before we went back. The dental assistant: she was so nice and talked directly to my 2 year old! He felt important and it was so adorable. The dental room: wow the first I've ever seen like this! I loved it! It didn't feel so medical and scary, for the kiddos. There was a bean bag chair, toys, and a comfy chair for the parent. Teeth cleaning: they explained what would happen during the visit and made my little one feel comfy. He still cried but a lot less! Leaving: we got a goodie bag and my child was able to pick one toy! The care is inconsistent I'm here for my second cleaning and after the first one I was told I had 10 cavities INSANE. I came back for fillings and it was a different dentist that said I have no idea what she was talking about you have 2 very small ones between your teeth. The first dentist made me feel absolutely disgusting throwing out that number just to have another man in the same office tell me he doesn't see that. The first also saying I'd need mouth numbing and the second saying the cavities are so small he didn't even use numbing! Depending on the person you get you may very well be scammed. When the dental assistants are taking x-rays they're having personal conversations right over top of you. Employees walk through the office BELTING song lyrics in a way that's just not appropriate for an office setting. My appointment was for 3pm I arrived at 2:48 and it's now 4:09 and I've only just been moved to an exam room. They will have two dentists in and schedule 10 people for the exact same appointment time. There's no regard for your time. You should go anywhere else but here, it's my third time in this office and it's the same thing every time.

Around 12:15pm, I kindly asked front staff about how much longer of a wait this would be as I understand offices can run behind. She said no more than 10 minutes. 10 minutes came and went I went up again as patients that were showing up after me were being called. I said what's going on? Front desk asked for the names of my children again and asked if they wanted me to go back and see how much longer. I explained my appointment was over an hour ago. I am so disappointed about the experience we received today, especially after waiting weeks for this appointment .
