I wandered into the cheerily lit waiting room and made an appointment for two days later. It was my lucky day. Dr. William Broas (pronounced "brahss") recently opened the practice and is seeking new patients. He is a quite friendly and brisk, has been around the DDS community for many a year. Jennifer, the dental hygienist, was quick and knowledgable in her skill and trade, and made me feel at ease during the whole cleaning process. This is very important to me as I have TMJ, and the cleaning can be painful--but it wasn't at all! Caitlyn, the receptionist, was also delightful and efficient. When I set up my follow up appointment for my fillings and fitting for a mouth guard, she had all of the costs printed out, waiting for me so that I'd know what to expect. I am not sure where the disconnect is but 1- they do not communicate well if you are a former customers. 2- they charge you for service upfront and you pay out of pocket for the service before they file with the insurance. I emailed last week asking for my documents electronically by the end of day and got nothing. I then called and left a message the following day. Asking they send it over. They haven't. I spent 4500 on 1 tooth to be repaired. Now I am in lost between the paper trail of where I get my reimbursement. I have tried not to place blame on them but this is ridiculous. I will not recommend their service as a former patient. Current patient teated extremely well, as a former who wanted to use them again. I will not and I will not recommend them. It's just that most of your preventative dental care is handled by the hygienists and the staff here just went downhill over time. The last few times I went in for cleanings they weren't good and the hygienist was odd. I'm assuming this is an ongoing issue as more recently when booking appointments, people were asked if they had a preference of hygienist (which wasn't usual before). The piece that sent me over the edge is that one of the women who works at the front desk (who always seems annoyed that you're there and is incredibly rude in her speaking tone) scheduled a cleaning appointment for me and gave me an appointment card. I put the date and time immediately into my Google calendar because, let's be real, I live and die by Google calendar. Then out of the blue, a week before my appointment, I get a call that I missed the appointment. I explained that I'd been told it was the following week. The woman argued with me and said it would be a $60 cancelation fee before I could reschedule. Because I'm known to lose my cool at bad customer service, I had my much calmer and much more successful at negotiating customer service issues husband follow up. After a couple calls back and forth, even his gentle soul was done with the rude behavior. We pay far too much for insurance to receive bad customer service - I'm the first to critique it at a restaurant, why it's taken me so long to stop putting up with bad health care service is a mystery to me. So that put us on the hunt for another dentist who actually had a decent staff - there's gotta be a good one around Bad News somewhere, right?

She is always so kind and pleasant to us., A always concerned if we are doing ok... Then Dr. McGill came in and as usual was very pleasant and told me what he was going to do this visit. I had previously been there 2 times ...once for a root canal then a fitting for the crown...then to put the permanent crown on. He also did another filling on my other tooth...then he did another refilling on a tooth that was bothering me... So he did three things in one visit all done with an hour...amazing. Dr. McGill tells me what he is going to do each step of the way of treatment... I would love to keep Dr. McGill all to myself but i am highly recommending him so others can get the same kind of service he has provided us with.
