So I just closed on a new mortgage (my second purchase in San Diego) and I'm so glad I again chose to work with Michael Rosenbaum (now with AP Mortgage) and his team (especially his completely awesome assistant Corinne.) From the first call (on a weekend no less) he met me in his downtown office 30 minutes after I called and had me pre approved in about another 30 minutes. Incredible. Everything I wrote before is still true - Michael understands the underwriting process like no other mortgage broker out there and knows how to give the best possible service for his clients. Granted with all of the new regulations (I happen to work for an unrelated bank) it's a tenuous process to close a loan so the bank side of things was longer than last time but that is the norm these days.
