We just wrapped up selling our house (Aug. 2022) with the GreenHouse Group. It was a big endeavor for us personally, but Jesse and the team were there all the way through. Thanks to them, we landed in the best case scenario due to all the hard work and planning that went into the process. I've known Jesse for many years now, and we would often chat about work, life, music and the housing market. Every couple of years, my wife and I would start looking at the market again and Jesse was my sounding board. What's it look like now? We're thinking about heading to this neighborhood or that neighborhood, what's the pricing/competition like? He always gave us great advice, but most importantly honest and tough facts. This was really important back in 2021. We once again started looking, and at the time thought we were serious. We reached out to the Greenhouse Group and Jesse and Jeremy were able to sit us down and laid it out plain and simple. You will need to follow these steps, plan for this challenge or that, get ready for rejection, rejection, rejection because this is what we would have to do to succeed in this market. It was straight truths about how tough the market was then and were we really ready to play? I want to call this out because he and his team are always honest and to the point. They rather us pump the brakes (which we did) then try to hustle up a deal or get us into the market when we really weren't ready. Finally, early in 2022 we finally decided that it was time to leave San Diego (as much as we really love the area and wanted to stay). The new location was too far to ask Jesse and the team to handle the buy, but we knew we wanted to use GreenHouse Group for the sale. Once we closed the purchase, Jesse and the team came over to the house for a full walk-through. They took pictures, asked great questions, pointed out all the issues or things we needed to fix or update and we walked every square inch of the property. After the walkthrough, my wife and I took on a bunch of projects to get the house in tip-top shape before we handed it off to the team. During this time Jesse had recommendations on services to use, strategies for improvements, and helped give us tips on where to put the money and where not to. There was a LOT going on during this time, and to be honest Jesse took a couple of super stressed filled calls from us. He talked us through it and proved that he is not only a true friend to me, but also an incredible professional who understands this business end-to-end. Finally, on the timeline we all agreed to, we were ready and handed over the keys to start the real process. The team came in, staged that house (talk about a complete service) and brought in a professional media team. They booked a Termite inspection so we would have that ahead of time to present to the buyers. We worked through crafting a story that helped show how our house stood out from the rest, made it unique and set a target price based on what the current market was doing. You can tell just from the pictures that they were putting their best foot forward on the space. They tuned it, got it right and put it on show. The house hit the market on a Thursday, showed on Saturday and the offers came in early the next week. This is where we got to sit back and watch the process unfold. Bella, Lori, and Jesse had all the steps documented, helped us pick the best offer and got the ball rolling. They were in constant communication with the buyers, escrow and document management. We had never sold a property before, so the side of the process was new to us. They walked us through questions we had about forms and disclosures, made sure we got copies and updates on a regular and timely basis. Everyone involved was always courteous and professional. As we got closer to close, there were a couple of technical hiccups here and there, which is to be expected when you get multiple parties and this much money involved, but Jesse always had it on point and kept us in the loop every step of the way. At the end, when the close was all said and done it was almost anti-climatic. Not because we weren't happy or ecstatic for how it went, but just because it almost seemed routine. It's a strange thing to say, but Jesse and the GreenHouse Group made the process nearly boring. Personally, that is amazing... something that takes this much effort, negotiation, process and logistics ends in a perfectly smooth, nonchalant landing. I can't say enough about the overall experience we had with the GreenHouse Group, it started as a personal friendship made while lifting heavy objects and progressed to trusting each other to work on one of the more challenging processes you can go through.
