THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE... 1 Woke up one morning…read morecould not walk 50 feet without gasping for air. 2. told my Northwell lung doctor , 3x over period of months that something was terribly wrong (turned out I had chronic heart failure thanks to covid vaccine.) 3. He ignored my statements and questions of concern....finally just outright ignored me....I used google to diagnose myself and get help. 4. Cat Scan also revealed large growth in right lung...Northwell doctor set up additional scans, biopsy....had to wait 8 months to get biopsy...growth doubled, no concern. 5. Biopsy negative for cancer, probably infection, Northwell doctor wants second biopsy, had to wait another 5 months!!! Not concerned.. 6. So far 14 months from time of detection growth to treatment/antibiotics...NO TREATMENT 14 MONTHS. 7. Northwell biopsy surgeon staff , 2x said they would contact me for procedure....NO CALL for months...lost in the shuffle I assume. 8. GOING TO AXE A-L-L NORTHWELL CONNECTIONS AS SOON AS I CAN BEGIN TREATMENT FOR LUNG GROWTH....14 MONTHS+++! WAIT TIME.!...UNBELIEVABLE.

His office is not busy or crowded, you don't have to wait long to see him and there is ample street parking. Overall makes for a very low-stress, nice enjoyable doctor's visit. I was very firm that I shouldn't be asked to pay twice for something that should have been done in one visit, and that it is up to them to code correctly. The receptionist / nurse told me, I quote: "OK, whatever." I am really annoyed because I am sure I'm going to have to call my insurance company to straighten this situation out. I made my appointment via zocdoc and the clinic subsequently called me to confirm and get my insurance information. Check in was a breeze and the waiting time wasn't too bad. I got all the routine checkups and met with Dr. Liu. She's seems extremely knowledgeable and cares about her patients. She listens to you if you have any questions or concerns. I didn't feel like she was trying to rush through the appointment like how I've felt at other doctor visits before. They set you up with a patient portal where you can create an account and log in to see your lab results. This is the first time I'm experiencing the use of such technology at a clinic and needless to say, I'm very impressed. For the followup, I was given the option of an in person visit or a virtual visit and I chose the latter so I won't have to deal with the busy streets of flushing and the headache of traffic and parking in the area. You aren't given a specific time for the virtual visit, but just a range of a few hours, since the doctor calls you when she has time in between patients. I wish that the virtual visits were more coordinated, but other than that, overall I had a positive experience.
