They have a lab next door as well as downstairs. They also offer free parking. Now I won't lie - depending on what time you go the wait time can be HORRENDOUS but I've seen enough crappy doctors that I wouldn't mind sitting through hell if I had to just to see Dr. Maslavi. I don't really have much to…read moresay about Dr. Maslavi as I have never actually been seen by him other than meeting him even though he was my primary care doctore; It's always been his assistant that has checked on me. I came in one day to get tested for oral herpes because although I didn't have enough evidence to say what it was, I still wanted to be safe and get it checked out. With my insurance, co-pay of $15 is required for every visit so I went through that and saw the assistant, I can't remember her name but she has blonde hair from what I remember. So she checks me out, is super rough with my lips and tells me it's herpes without any further testing. I ask for more testing a couple of times and she tells me it's not needed and recommends me products to purchase. I left feeling emotionally distraught because they didn't do any testing and although the co-pay was cheap, it felt unnecessary. I went back in and demanded for testing and after seeing how emotionally distraught I was, was when she let me get testing. Guess what? Testing came back negative and the bump was actually a mucocele. Not only that but I received another co-pay in the mail. Again I don't know much about Maslavi but his assistant was super unprofessional in this case and caused me to no longer have him as my PCP.

Plus, the last doctor I had was pretty terrible. 2 hours waits, and he rushed all the time. He didn't even have time to hear me out. So I was glad to be seeing Dr. Charlotten. The staff is very friendly, and on my first visit, the receptionist explained when I need to pay, and when I don't. I was very surprised that on a follow-up for the blood results, I did not have to pay co-pay! The office is really cozy and inviting, which makes everyone feel more at ease. And Dr. Charlotten was really great! He really takes his time with you, and is super thorough. He asks you all the right questions, and I never felt intimidated or anything when I was telling him my problems. He is very patient and tries his best to understand you and gives solutions to your ailments. He gives the necessary tests. For example, he noticed that my sister's tonsils were a bit inflammed, so he ran some allergy tests, and it turns out that my sister is allergic to cockroaches! Which is pretty funny, but sucks for her, cause those buggers are everywhere. Dr. Charlotten is definitely the most thorough doctor that I have ever had. I just hope he does not get too popular, for I will have to wait longer to see him the next time.

Definitely puts you at ease, without even trying to do so. Just comes naturally to him. He does have a lot of older patients. Small office, you have to walk down to the lower level of the house. Waiting area is clean, but the entire office is old and outdated. Not fancy or modern. No frills. Neutral colors, a little drab. Have some magazines to hold you over while you wait, but there was never an uncomfortably packed waiting area. Have friendly, informative receptionists. Street parking if you can find it, and a bus stop is nearby. Good area, residential streets, safe.
