I will definitely return to Laura and Advanced Aesthetics when it's time for another facial. Advanced Aesthetics is on the 5th floor of the Hickingbotham Outpatient building on the campus of Baptist Medical Center. The brochure says they offer free valet parking, but I just self-parked for free on the adjoining lot. There are signs in the lobby and on the 5th floor specifically directing you to Advanced Aesthetics, which I appreciated, never having been here before. I also have never had a facial before, so while I do not have anything with which to compare this experience, I was thoroughly pleased with the whole process, and specifically with the results. When I arrived, the woman at the desk, Vicki, immediately got me seated with some cucumber water to sip, and I waited less than a few minutes for my appointment to begin, even though I was a little early. I have known the licensed aesthetician who did my facial, Laura, for several years, mostly through Facebook, which is how I came to book this appointment. The facial room is like a massage room, with soothing music, a small fountain, a comfortable, warm bed and dim lighting. I put on the little strapless towel "top" that snaps across the top and got under the covers. Laura massaged my hands and arms below the elbow with a great-smelling lotion and then put heated gloves on my hands. They stayed like this throughout the facial. Regarding facials, the Website reads: "Customized treatments based on your skin's needs to rehydrate and revitalize your skin... Beginning with a European massage then followed by a hydrating steam therapy, deep pore cleansing, sterile extractions (if necessary), and a mask chosen for your skin type." She did a great massage on my head, neck and shoulders that was amazing! Laura and I chatted about many things, running, cooking, traveling, dogs, etc., but she also told me what she was doing and what the purpose of it was (I was so chill, I can't remember much of what she said!), and she also commented on what would be beneficial to my skin, what I should watch out for, etc., which was all very helpful. During the mask, she left me alone for awhile, and I had that same feeling you get during a massage: a kind of lucid unconsciousness. When the facial was finished (I never wanted it to end!), she took me for a Visia photo, which they do for new clients. The camera takes a photo of your skin and analyzes it for wrinkles, UV spots, age spots, red areas, texture, pore size, etc. This was interesting as you could really examine your skin for issues and ways to improve. Of course, they had some treatment suggestions for me, including IPL treatments to lessen sun-damage. My facial with Laura was $85, which I think was an hour-long treatment, although with the Visia photography, I was there at least an hour and 15 minutes. Because this is a clinic, there seems to be no expectation to tip, as there was no line on the credit card and I didn't see any box for leaving tips. Vicki talked to me about some alternative treatments, and Laura gave me some samples of products for me to try. I have to say, I would never want to go to have a facial with someone whose skin wasn't beautiful and who didn't look healthy and glowing. Laura does! I felt completely comfortable turning myself over to her care. My skin looked and felt great for days and days!

I saw Dr. Wright about an explant and a mastopexy after a previous consult with a doctor in Dallas…read more(I just didn't get a good feeling from the consult in Dallas). Dr. Wright and his staff were extremely caring. He listened to me in an extremely open fashion. My specific issues were asymmetry and ptosis. Some of it had to do with the time that had passed since the initial surgery in Los Angeles (20 years) and some had to do with having given birth. Dr. Wright was very frank with me on what my options were -- his office provided me with 4 quotes on different methods that could be used to achieve the result I wanted. Although I wanted the implants removed, we chose to do an explant as opposed to an en bloc removal due to the lack of conclusive evidence for BII (I have fatigue and anxiety, but truth be told those can be attributed to many things up to and including breast implants -- I'm a toddler mom, so it would be a miracle if I weren't fatigued most of the time). The day of surgery Dr. Wright was late getting started, but it was due to the previous patient -- he stated he wanted to make sure her results were as close to perfect as possible. It comforted me to know that he takes that sort of pride in his work. I would much rather have him take as much time as necessary as opposed to rushing. Dr. Wright called my home that evening to check on me and provided my mom with his cell phone. My tube removal and follow-ups went well. I had no trouble getting in or being seen. My tubes were removed by Paige, his RN. Almost 3 months out now, I'm thrilled with my results. I'm a full 32 C cup. My scars are fading and the placement ensures that even once the redness fades they will be very inconspicuous. I would highly recommend Dr. Wright for this procedure.

Additionally, as part of addressing the eyelids, some of the forehead skin was removed. I now look marvelous, and when I went to my DERMATOLOGIST for my yearly check up. She noticed the procedures on my face and she stated that the cosmetic surgeon did an excellent job with the care he had taken on the stitches. Dr English is one of the most thorough medical professionals that I have had the pleasure of being a patient. As an out-of-town patient, Dr English had a list of hotels that work with him. The hotels were listed with the most expensive at the top, moving down to more economical. At 8 o'clock in the evening on the day of my procedures, Dr English came to my hotel room for a brief visit to check how everything was going. As there were no difficulties, he explained he would be back the next morning to remove the bandages. Prior to my surgery however, there were other small things that made the experience more pleasant. Before the procedures there were written instructions explaining what would be happening and giving suggestions as to things you might want to have it at home for aftercare. Dr English also has a pharmacy that works with him in Little Rock. The pharmacy will call you at your home to get payment information as Dr English will have ordered all of the antibiotics, pain meds, any of the ointments/ creams that you will need for aftercare depending on the procedure(s) you have had. These pharmaceuticals are delivered to his clinic the morning of your surgery/ procedures. As this was such a delightful and rewarding experience and THE results of the procedures were so outstanding that strangers thought I was 30 or more years younger than my actual age, I decided to have follow up with a little bit of liposuction. Again, I couldn't be more pleased. It has only been four weeks since my liposuction and I have already lost 6 inches off of my waist and I do look so much better in my clothes. I have already had friends that are so impressed with the results of my procedures that two of them are planning procedures of their own. In fact, one person will be having their Baker-Gordan chemical peel tomorrow. Dr English also has a young lady that can mix make- up to match your skin. When I had mine mixed, it was such a perfect match, that even my friends could not tell when I put makeup on my face with the exception of my forehead. Whether it was my queerness or simply the fact that I am an honest and opinionated person, I left the interaction feeling judged and unwelcome. The nurse who was present in the room also appeared to notice that Elizabeth was being unpleasant. When I asked whether Elizabeth was always that rude, the nurse responded, "She's just pregnant." While pregnancy may provide context, it does not excuse unprofessional, disrespectful, or unpleasant behavior toward a patient.
