They treated me like I was dumb as fuck! At one point the receptionist repeated herself so much, I said to her "I understand, you don't have to say it again" and she literally repeated the exact same thing.....AGAIN! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO ACTIVE LISTENING HERE WITH THE RECEPTIONIST!! If they think you don't understand they will stick with that and not look back. They will tell you the same thing a million times and say you don't understand, even when you bring up something complete different. After going back and forth with the receptionist she told me this isn't the place for me so I hung up. I called back and spoke with office manager Julie and she listened and agreed that being told the same thing over and over again wasn't right. I told her I felt DISRESPECTED, like the receptionist didn't even try to listen to me. I cancelled my appointment and said I would look elsewhere. And Julie said okay, have a great day(no sorry or anything). Well SURPRISE SURPRISE, Julie the office manager, didn't hang up the phone so I heard her and the other gal talking shit about me(once again saying I just wasn't understanding, among other things). Which surprised me, because that's not what Julie was saying when we were in the phone. I have recorded the phone call and will be forwarding my complaint/review to the BBB. If you can look past the office staff, Dr. Burch was great, and seemed very knowledgeable! But like I told Julie, next time hang up the phone and GOD BLESS! I obviously won't be returning.

Dr Boyce greeted me and told me what to expect with my appointment and addressed any questions I had. All of the staff, from the office manager to dental assistants and hygienist were so friendly and were able to ease any hesitations I had. I was in and out of the office in under an hour which was great! I was also happy to learn Dr Boyce is a Lees Summit resident. I felt appreciated as a patient and that my time was valuable. There were no high pressure sales tactics or guilt for not having been to a dentist in a while like I have experienced elsewhere. I'm not sure why I put it off so long. I will definitely be back to see Dr Boyce for my next exam!
