These folks were insanely nice! I traveled from Wichita (2.5 hours) to have teeth removed for the first time and I had a lot of anxiety. Very kind on the phone every time I called over the past week and in real life! The office is nice and I like their branding, they look like a nationwide chain but they are local!! I had to have all four wisdom teeth pulled by the oral surgeon that comes in once a month from another city, that man was great too. These people lied and pushed my 80 year old father into getting a tooth extraction he did not need. It's been two months and he's still in constant pain because it hasn't healed yet. This place uses the patient's fear and high pressure sales tactics to prey on the elderly for money and they do not care how much unnecessary pain and suffering they cause. Dr. Patrick Moore removed my broken tooth . I was very impressed with Dr. Moore's honesty and sincere concern for his patients. Dr. Taylor Sutherland is also one of the nicest dentists I have seen in my 70 plus years on this earth. Her concern for her patients is remarkable and she has a way of making you feel like you are special even when you are being a little challenging. In response to some of the previous reviews regarding payment of dental services, I would like to say that several times when I was given an estimnated cost of service, the actual fees were less than originally stated. I was not asked to pay the original amount and then wait for a refund. I was asked to pay the adjusted amount (which was a nice surpirse to pay less than anticipated.) As a senior citizen, I would recommend Dr. Moore and Dr. Tayhlor Sutherland to anyone who needs a little extra patience when having dental work performed. read more

This is not a clinic to treat people's health. This is the clinic to scams people and puts them in trouble. My story I went there on Nov 5th and they told me I have bacteria and need to be treated. I listened to what a dentist and hygienist told me and I agreed with what was told me then whoever worked in the finance office came and told me how much would cost me everything. They told me about the price and I asked them for a payment plan which they did BUT what happened they put me in a loan WITHOUT my permission or signature for $1200 and I was not signed to any paper or anything. I called Smile Generation Financial to see how did I get the laon to my address they told me from this clinic I went to clinic again they told me " you didn't sign to any loan" they just gave my payment plan agreement. Have been going to this dentist since I moved back from college. Have really enjoyed it compared to my previous one. Very quick, efficient, and transparent procedures. Not to brag, but I didn't go to the dentist for over two years and only had one cavity. They were able to fill it right after the routine checkup. Moved to KC due to work a while back and was looking for a dentist. I found them online and saw the reviews were good so I decided to schedule an appointment. Are they nice? Yes. Are they a sales driven business? Also yes. This became apparent when they told me my X-rays looked great and I had no cavities but they could not do my routine cleaning because I had a few molars that needed $2,000 worth of root scaling and planing. Apparently they use a laser (insert Dr. Evil reference) and a very expensive mouth wash in this "procedure". When I asked if they could please just do the routine cleaning, I was told no because it would not be of any benefit without the 2k procedure. If that's the current professional line of reasoning in the dental field I suppose there is not any benefit in brushing my teeth henceforth either... I knew something was amiss when they began explaining that they were going to give me a "treatment plan" before I even took my mask off for the first X-Ray. They also have a "treatment plan coordinator" or something along that line; but it's obvious the guy realizes he's tasked with trying to pawn off dental "plans" in the fashion of a knock- off Gucci dealer at a flea market. My father went here to Dr Moore to get wisdom teeth removed. He surgically removed 3 teeth and said that he could safely pulled one. We paid up front to surgically remove all 4. Pain increased throughout the week and he went back due to the pain. HIS JAW WAS BROKE! He had to have a plate put in his jaw and is still having issues with his jaw to this day and a nice scar on his neck. Dr. Moore violated HIPAA by contacting a lawyer to contact my father about the incident. He never even billed insurance for the incident due to knowing what he did. This has almost been 2 years and he is avoiding the lawyer and giving him the run around. He cannot chew bubble gum or eat anything you have to chew log very long or he gets lock jaw. DO NOT RISK IT GOING TO THIS DENTIST! IT WILL AFFECT YOUR LIFE FOREVER AND THEY DO NOT CARE OR TRY TO MAKE IT RIGHT! read more

My insurance recommended this Dentist. I needed a lot of work done and have very good insurance. The office refused to honor the insured prices and demanded there own fees. I spent thousands knowing I should not have to pay so much. I asked office to help verify costs. They cared less. Written complaints via the portal, no response. Left in the middle of a appointment, no phone call. Finally, after receiving over $2,000 refund from the insurance company (office never would return any of my calls regarding bills) I get a call to install a bridge. They acted like they did nothing (knowing I was gouged and over priced by $2,200.) I guess they don't mind losing business, getting bad reviews. I have lots of work to get completed, but like any shopper, will be taking my business elsewhere. Super disappointed. read more

I called 3 times and was told the same thing, billing person is not available and would call me back. I think that they just do not want to refund my overpayment. Dr Patrick Moore, DDS at Parkville modern Dentistry/ Antioch Modern Dentistry was the doctor that did my boyfriend's wisdom teeth in July of 2021. X-rays were done and his Jaw was intact. The wisdom teeth were suppose to be surgically removed and he decided to pull the right lower side instead of surgically removing the tooth. The right lower tooth was not out of the gum far enough and it broke his jaw. Everything was removed and my boyfriend Steve was down for over a week and I called several times and they had him come in to have it cleaned out. 2 weeks later he was still down and felt his jaw shifting. He went to his regular dentist and they did another xray and his jaw was broke. I called Dr. Patrick Moore and insisted he be seen and so we went in they did a panoramic xray and there was a crack on the right side and he busted his jaw because the wisdom tooth was too far in! He then told him they could wire it shut which was also a lie. It had been 3 weeks Steve had to have a plate put in by a different surgeon not once but twice because his jaw was broke. Dr Moore then gave out Steve's info to an attorney that called Steve and said Dr Moore knew he would did wrong! We have tried to sue and he refuses to admit now he did it. Do not go to this man! Dr Moore wrote an email admitting something happened during the surgery! Worst oral surgeon ever. He will break your jaw and he will not admit to it. X-rays show the jaw was intact before the surgery and then broke after the surgery! He lost time at work I lost time at work and my insurance paid out tons of money for surgeries to fix the break. Steve's chin breaks out because of the plate in his chin and this doctor thinks he doesn't need some kind of compensation. Steve's nerves are now messed up and his chin is numb all the time! I would not take my worst enemy to Dr. Patrick Moore! BBB has been contacted! I will blast a review everywhere on Dr.Patrick Moore. Dr Moore broke HIPPA laws by giving patient info to an attorney about a case! We have the name of that attorney and times they called! The doctor has sent an email saying he knew the jaw was broke but not sure what happened! read more

I'm disgusted at the way in which this company operates. my experience with this office is as follows: I have a tooth that is cracked from crown to root and is painful. I go to their office($119.00) and they refer me to an Endodontist ($305.00) and he deems the tooth can't be saved and we agree to the need for extraction. I received a email with a "treatment plan" for extraction and bone replacement and all that comes with it plus implant. total cost $6900.00. that on top of more Xrays, they already did plus the xrays done at the endodontist. they stated I could come in for the extraction in 4 days. When I requested the extraction only they stated the appointmemt was no longer available and inferred that unless I want the whole treatment plan I would need to do a constult with the oral surgeon(more cost) or basically no extraction only. This tooth is infected! my health and being is affected! compassion and caring has be replaced by the greed of this company. I am still looking for dentist to extract this tooth with an infection who has integrity. read more

I have been looking for a periodontist office for awhile, not liking the way I was treated at two previous ones. Antioch Dentistry is my new place! I felt so welcomed and comfortable the moment I walked in. The dentist, Dr Sutherland was so kind and got me on a plan to fix my teeth issues. The pricing was explained up front and Nancy worked with me on a payment plan which I could afford. I did stay for root planing and scaling and had to endure the shots, but other than that it was a great experience there! I would recommend them wholeheartedly! read more

The staff here are very friendly and I was welcomed right away. The dentist and his assistant were knowledgable and understanding of my apprehension towards going to the dentist, as it had been several years since my last appointment. They made me feel at ease, and the appointment overall was quick and painless. I really appreciated that they were able to do all the procedures in-office, same-day. No making an appointment to have a filling put in some three months from now. I was in and out in less than an hour. They off a discounted-rate yearly plan which my partner is taking advantage of because her dental needs are more extensive. This, as well as the payment plans offered, will be very helpful in the future as dental insurance is a joke and covers nothing. The location is convenient, right off Antioch in Merriam. Just left this office. I went in for a routine check up and teeth cleaning. The new "benefits coordinator" informed me that unless I wanted to sign up for a plan it was going to cost me $230.00!! What?! I have been going there for check ups for 1 1/2 years as well as my 2 daughters and we have never paid this much, here or anywhere else for that matter. We will never go back. read more

From the receptionist, to the x-ray tech, to the actual hygienist and dentist, the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Everything was shown to me and described to me. Blown away by how rude the receptionist was on the phone. There is a large sign in their yard looking for new customers so I thought I'd give them a shot since they're closer to my home. Receptionist would not even accept my new business when I said I don't want X-rays (as I don't have dental insurance I get them annually rather than every 6 months). She preceded to tell me "no dentist will do Cleanings without X-rays" which is highly inaccurate as I've been getting cleanings without X-rays every other 6 months my entire life. This dental practice is worse than a used car dealership. Every regularly scheduled teeth cleaning they try to up sell you on additional services. The dentist starts with it by making you feel terrible about your teeth and then they send in the insurance coordinator for the close. I have been going to this location since 2016 and have been putting up with the high-pressure sales tactics because they would back off once I did tell them that I don't want anything else other than a regular teeth cleaning. However, today really upset me because they refused to do the regular teeth cleaning unless I opted for the pricier deep cleaning. I have made the decision to go with another dental practice nearby my office. Avoid this place at all costs if you don't want a boiler room experience. read more

I had an appointment to have a tooth pulled, went to it and had a small panic attack due to fear of the dentist. My tooth never was pull, instead suggested to be knocked out to have it pulled. Money wise that was a lot more, when I called back to see if could have been given something before the next appointment. I was told no, I told them that I would have to take my business some place else. I was told fine, I was kind of blown away that the lack of basic customer service was not there or even trying to fight for a customer.Very poor customer service here, when you're on a budget. read more

Antioch Dentistry is not a business that I would recommend to my worse enemy. They were referred to me by Humana Gold Insurance. If they are not able to convince you to do the deep cleaning which is not covered by insurance and very expensive, they treat you very poorly. I had 2 teeth that were giving me a lot of pain and were in need of extraction as they were past saving. The Dentist who examined my teeth pushed me for a root canal and the deep cleaning. Deep cleaning is very much overpriced and at my age, I am in my early 80s' and not likely to get any benefits from deep cleaning if indeed there are any beyond enriching the practice. I elected to have the teeth extracted, so an appointment for the oral surgeon was setup. When I met with Dr. Moore, I could sense a hostile attitude toward me, which I assumed was due to the fact that I had refused the deep cleaning. Due to the fact of being to old to have regular anesthetic, I needed to have nitrous oxide for which there was an extra charge, Apparently Dr. Moore did not use enough because the extraction was very painful. I have had the same procedure at a different Oral Surgeon a few years ago and I experienced very little pain with him. When I checked out the clerk quoted the cost as $567, I gave her my credit card and the transaction was completed. Then before I was able to exit the office, she called to me and said she was sorry, but the charge should have been $100 more, so I gave her my card and she charged me the additional $100. I went to put on my coat and was leaving and once again she came over to me and said that she had missed another $70, so once again I gave my credit card and that transaction was completed. If I had someone that incompetent working for me, I would have fired them on the spot. After I got my card back, I told my friend that I was with to hurry and get out of there before she found another charge. I will never go back to Antioch Dentistry. If it was my only choice I would extract the tooth myself. read more
