They have failed to provide information to our insurance company at every single renewal, resulting in the receipt of cancellation letters nearly every year, usually with our homeowner/umbrella policy, and now with our auto insurance policy as well. They do not initiate communication with the customer when there is an issue or information that should be conveyed for the renewal, and drop the ball when renewing policies that should be easy and seamless. All of the above result in the previously mentioned cancellation letters received. We are left in utter frustration and time wasted trying to correct/reinstate policies that never should have been cancelled to begin with if our agents simply did their jobs, communicated with clients, and were conscientious. They just do not care. The best descriptive I can use for this agency is apathetic. DO NOT use Smith (Brown & Brown) if you are seeking an agent who will provide adequate, competent insurance brokerage services and proactive support. You'd be better off to broker your own policies and would likely do a better job. We're finally moving on.

There was no line, the staff was friendly and I got my DL renewed and a new picture for my passport renewal in under 15 mins. The staff was friendly and professional. The location is clean, fees for these services are reasonable and there is plenty of parking. The only minor complaint I have is that I had also wanted to renew my AAA membership but because that's not my home AAA they can't process that there. That's not a complaint against them because that would be a problem at any other AAA office that isn't considered my "home" club. The woman who explained this to me was very polite and felt bad she couldn't process that for me. All in all a good experience and I'll definitely go there again.

They only told me after the fact. The reason they claimed was to save me money. In the end, had they done their due diligence that assumption was wrong. To be clear this all started long before the hurricane hit CT. Yet they have not fixed the problem, nor called me back. I paid in full the on July 15th for another year, yet they can not prove i have insurance. Did I go through the hurricane without insurance? Still waiting for an answers
