We heard of her independently through each of our wedding vendors, Ruth's Chris, South Bend Country Club, and Carmela's Bakery. It was either her or Michaelangelo's Floral, but we were told it would be incredibly worthwhile to book Polly's Poppies if she was available. Even without a website or public physical address, Polly is in high demand because of the quality experience she gives to each customer. She limits herself to two events a weekend to give her full attention to each one, so particularly in the wedding season- call ahead! After playing telephone tag for a bit, we scheduled a 3 hour meeting (I was sooo dead by the end of that, but it was worth it!), and Polly sat with us as she flipped through previous wedding albums. Through discussion and observation, she figures out the types of flowers, colors, textures, and decor that you like (and don't like), and sketches everything out by the end of your meeting. If you hire her to do your floral, you agree to let her do all your decor as well - she does this because if her name is on the event, she wants everything to be impeccable! Expect around $3k for a wedding. I've chatted with a few folks who have worked with her and weddings from 100-250 guests all costed about the same. Try to get those flowers on your own and do half the job in making it look half as nice and you'll realize this was a worthwhile place to spend your budget! Polly does try to save you as much as she can, and is more than happy to let you buy your own candles, candies, or other decor as long as you leave it to her and her team to set up. Also, all set up and tear down is included in her package! Polly is personable, talented, dedicated, and focused. We felt she knew our desires better than we did, and we continue to receive comments on our floral arrangements and decor whenever our wedding is reminisced in conversation. Book her if she is available, it'll be well worth it!

I contacted 7/8 to check in - she stated that she needs to drop them off early to me, as she will be leaving the State 7/15, so she'll message me Monday. Never messaged me Monday, so I messaged her. no response for hours after being left on read. At this point I'm panicking - begging her to tell me if she won't come through so I can have a backup plan, as my alter for wedding was dependent on these additional pieces - so I call, no answer. She messages me at 9pm saying she was busy with appointments and has too much going on, but rest assured my pillars will be delivered as she won't ruin my big day, talking as if they will be on Tuesday before she leaves town. No response on Tuesday after telling her I will pick them up Wednesday. Today, Thursday morning she has blocked me both on her personal page and business page. She has added so much stress to my wedding day by flaking. Unprofessional & Rude are the kindest words I can think of this woman. Do not let the few good reviews fool you, as she can and will stoop this low and does not care about ruining your event. Its time to hire some people to help you with your business if you're "too busy" to run it. You should be ashamed of yourself. Don't think I won't find away to make it known on all platforms how pitiful this business is by blocking me - I will find a way. ;)

Indeed, it was one of the more beautiful wedding spaces I have been too, but it was so secluded cell phone reception for myself and multiple guests was iffy at best. Not that I was dying to talk on my phone, but I think if you are considering this place for your wedding/event - look into it. I used my cell phone non stop on my wedding day - as getting ahold of your wedding party is crucial. So, just something to think about - may be an issue for some. Wedding was outside on a terrace overlooking a gorgeous area of tree lined land (no tent, but I heard they are available) and it was really spacious. Reception was inside and the banquet room was nice and had huge windows overlooking some woods which was really nice and different from the typical boring banquet facilities. Food was delicious - although I wish the portions had been a little bigger. If i'm drinking for more than 3 hours I need a substantial base. :) All in all - really enjoyed it. About two hours from Chicago, and although we didn't stay at a hotel, there are plenty within 15-20 minutes.
