I purchased 2 yards of silk fabric that was not in the normal fabric area but in a separate section, packaged. I asked one of the clerks if I could return it if need be and she told me I could. The fabric ended up being super thin/cheap so I brought it back for a return. I explained the situation to the manager who looked at my receipt and told me to come back with the packaging. I live 15 minutes away. I came back with the packaging and she told me I could not return it because of what it said on the receipt! When I expressed my disappointment and explained that I would not be returning to the store she condescendingly nodded her head and waved goodbye to me. Left me feeling awful. Be better! read more

Michaels manager of October 2019, was very rude when talking to me. I was trying to pick up a ups package and I only had my I.D which has my full name that is on my package but not my address it says on the the MICHEALS policy of I.D requirements for one of the options is "Present a government-issued photo ID where the full address or name on the ID matches the full address or name on the package." So I'm assuming that it's either or situation. Also I literally just picked up a package last week at the same location with the same I.D and I received my package. I understand it's a liability but if the company states that option on the site then let it be.So I wanted to show the manager but she was saying it would not make a difference. But when she said this her body language and the way she said it was very rude. While I'm not giving her attitude at all because I know it's very hard to work in customer service. so I was very displeased the way she went about it. While I am only 24 years old and she was in her late 40s. There was no respect at all. If she let me finished I was just trying to show her that on the website it states that. So that if your not going to accept that option then you should know what it says so you are aware of next time. But the way she handle it was not coming from a person in management. Michaels is short staffed so if any questions, you're on your own! The 2 young workers didn't know how to help because they lacked crafting experience. One of the young lady wasn't trying to help by saying they don't have that because she didn't note what it was...I'm just saying you better know what you're looking for! If you pass by a Michaels you are obligated to go in it (now you know!). They have TONS of coupons and sales so signing up for their email is extremely important to keep up. My favorite sale of all time is for the canvases at 70% off! It happens about 3 or 4 times a year. They also have an excellent selection of yarn so that's always a plus :) read more

The store itself is a nice, clean, standard craft store. However, the service is TERRIBLE. There was only one register open so the line was 5 people long. The older lady cashier displayed some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. She argued with us when we told her the items rang up differently than marked. She then went to get the sale tag off the shelf and tried to say our items didn't count when they clearly did. I then went back to the shelf to confirm the marked original price on the items and she still didn't want to believe me. She finally "gave us our way". The worst was as she handed us our bag and receipt. My friend apologized for the trouble and the cashier said in a super sweet voice "Your fault, have a nice night". My friend and I both had to pick out jaws up off the ground at that one. read more

Good range of hobby and art materials & supplies with few surprises. Can be frustrating at times to find employees to help, though when you do they're knowledgeable and courteous. The coupon discounts are extremely generous but the rules are limiting--have to learn to maneuver around them. read more

Michael's is your basic go to craft store. This location is bright, clean, and always well stocked. It has everything a crafter could need from foam projects, wicker baskets, yarn, needles, and silk flowers. I like this location for its framing department. They have always delivered on a nice framed print, etc. Their framing coupons make a usually expensive task, a little less expensive. I give it three stars because they are notorious for long lines and slow staff. Otherwise, it's a decent store. read more
