They did a good job cleaning the carpet in my car which was heavily soiled, however they destroyed the leather on the drivers seat and steering wheel. I was shocked as they showed me they couldn't remove a spot on the leather- they sprayed "window cleaner" on the leather seats and scrubbed the leather away right in front of me revealing the material underneath, what they believed was a spot to be removed, instead making the damage worse. The owner could tell I was shocked and began applying his go to "special conditioner" on the leather, however the leather was already damaged beyond repair. If you need a carpet cleaned this is a fine spot but do not trust them to clean leather. I was charged $250. read more

Took my car here to have them try to remove major food grease spillage (soaked in) on the backseat of my new car. Of course I have light grey cloth seats. They got out s good amount if the grease with a faint stain left. I didnt have unrealistic expectations and knew that getting it out completely was nearly Impossible. There is no way I would have attempted to remove it myself and make it worse. The cost was $40. Not only did they do my backseat, but they also cleaned (wiped down) the inside of my car at no extra charge! I would definitely recommend them and plan to bring my car back for washing and at some point detailing and wax. Conveniently located off Main street in Manayunk . Drop off your car and stop in one of the restaurants for a bite or a beer. Great service for price. Give them a try! This is an update to my previous post on 10/17/19. The owner contacted me and said if I wanted to drop off my car again, they would try to remove the remainder of the stain at no charge. So I did. 10/23/19. The stain is completely gone! (Please see the before and after photos) I can't believe it! I'm so satisfied. AND they washed my car at no charge to me. That's customer service! My car will be coming back to Mike to have it detailed, waxed, etc in the future. I'm a loyal customer. read more

Another place that has gone downhill. Had my car hand washed and waxed a few months ago and asked that they put air in my tires. Three tires were over inflated. Just tried making an appointment a few weeks ago and left a voicemail. No one bothered to call me back. I guess they don't need the business. I wish the previous owner was still there. So far, out of all the places I have been to in center city and Philadelphia, this place is the best. What makes this place great? 1. Everything is done by hand 2. Appointments are made so they give your car full attention 3. Hand washes take 30-40 minutes which means they really get the dirt out and wash your vehicle the way it was meant to be washed 4. Complimentary bottled water. I have a brand new lexus IS 250 limited edition and I needed q place that was going to insure the longevity of my exterior and interior, and this place is. definitely a diamond in the rough. You pay a little more for the service but it is totally worth it. read more

Parking in Manayunk is tough, and it's even more difficult to find a place to wash your own car. You either need your own garage (HA) or a really long hose that will reach the street parking you've found. That's why I stopped trying to wash my own car after I found Michael's. They take care of everything: washing, drying, vacuuming, detailing. The prices they charge are more than worth the time savings and peace of mind. There's exactly one problem with Michael's: they're closed on Mondays. If you can work around that timing, you'll get a clean car with none of the hose wrangling. Call ahead! read more

I was a repeat customer & dropped my car off for an interior wash and front seat shampoo. I clarified the service I wanted twice over the phone and once in person with the manager. I was told it would be about an hour and a half in which I killed time at the Main Street event with two young toddlers. I come back & was told they mixed up my order and gave a different SUV the front shampoo. Instead of using good customer service and business etiquette aka rectifying the situation by apologizing and/or offering to shampoo the front seat at no cost. I was berrated by the manager in the parking lot with my kids present. The services they DID provide, we're done very well. However, Under no circumstance should a customer get screamed at by the manager because they simply asked to follow up with the owner at a later time. Making me and my family wait AND also pay for a service YALL messed up on is unacceptable. AWFUL customer service & they lost a long term customer. read more

I'm a messy person with a dog who drives a TON - my car is usually a disaster, like I don't drive people I'm not related to because it's horrifying kind of disaster. 45 minutes and $40 bucks later, my car was restored to as nice as if I'd just bought it. I never post public reviews, but this company's work ethic and service results were so abysmal that I feel obligated to warn others not to spend their money here. Two years ago, I had my car detailed here and they did a fine job - but something has really changed. This week, I paid for a wash, wax, and interior cleaning for my older Honda. Because I use this car for hauling projects for my business, I even vacuumed it out before taking it to Michael's - to help them really focus on cleaning the crevices. Suffice it to say, 1) they barely wiped the interior down and didn't even touch the glove compartment, cup holders or air vents, 2) debris they said wouldn't come out of the seats, I subsequently wiped out with Wet Ones, and 3) marks they said wouldn't come out of the exterior finish, I subsequently removed with a bit of rubbing compound. As others have mentioned, Michael's has no set prices and the staff seems to try to bargain for the biggest payoff they can finagle. Moreover, because I paid cash, they refused to provide me with a receipt (which I needed for my business). Unless you yourself want to fix everything they miss, save your money. Go somewhere else. read more

Easy drop off pick up in 30 min. It's a detail place but they also offer hand washing of the car. Details are very different from car washes. they got all the nooks and crannies that a drive through car wash can't get to. Now what surprised me was that they also cleaned the interior of my car. I think they just vacuumed the interior but that was a service I was not expecting and made me quite happy. I think I'll get myself a detail here later. My experience with Michael's was disappointing. I called them and got an estimate of between $300 and $400, and arranged to take the car there for a firm price late on a Wednesday afternoon, with the detailing to be done the next day. Since they require the car to be dropped off by 9 AM on the day of service, my plan was to get the price established and just leave the car there. So my wife and I drove separate cars there, and when we arrived shortly after 4 PM the place was locked up tight as a drum, with no note on the door and not a soul in sight. I then verified their phone number on the sign outside and called them up, only to get their recorded message saying they were open until 5 PM. Needless to say, my enthusiasm to do business with them faded pretty quickly, and I ended up having the car detailed elsewhere. read more

I dislike to write bad reviews however I'm honest and belive in sharing our experience's that what makes yelping so great, I decided to give this business a call after reading some great reviews, my experience didn't go so well, I received sort of rude phone customer service, wanted to take my S550 in just for a BASIC detail, hand wash and wax and the inside detailed, nothing to fancy just a good clean, the person seemed a little pushy over the phone as if I were a bother, anyways I was quoted $350 to 400 just for my detail! Seems To me that I was just over quoted, but the average is half of that , I've called around to many of local places as I'm picky to where I take my car, but this place can't be serious lol, I wonder what the average person Pay's to have a detail here? read more

Dropped my Mazda CX5 off at Michael's a few days ago and I'm still all smiles when I hop in to drive! After a long summer of craft fairs, my car had been a traveling storage unit for my business, full of sawdust, leaves, dust and all sorts of debris (not to mention the dog drool all over the inside windows). Left the car with Michael for about an hour and it came out looking BRAND NEW. For real. The best part is, I can get my nails done at Christie's while they do the cleaning!
