Michaels has the best seasonal selection! They have plenty to choose from and the quality is good. I got my Halloween, Dia de Los Muertos, Xmas, Easter and Valentines decor from here . I even get all my party decorations from Michaels too. They have great foam stickers and premade crafts. The prices are reasonable and they do discounts , point rewards , etc. Staff is friendly. First Day Employee Magic! On a whim, I decided I wanted to make a Holiday wreath for the first time. I have been a clothing and product designer my while life, but this was a little out of my realm. I started by going to the Dollar Tree (because I'm cheap), but found that 90% of the holiday wreath making supplies were covered in glitter. So I went to Michales. first surprise was that A LOT of the supplies were on a good sale. First win. Next, I asked a girl where to find something. She said it was her first day, and I know the feeling. i said, "I'm about to make a wreath for the first time and I have NO clue what I'm doing." She told me she had made many before and not only helped me find what I was looking for, but gave me such great advice. There's all sorts of different crafts, so if I miss out from the list of scrapbooking and tshirt printing and decor and painting and framing and sewing, then I apologize. I was here for a specific model of paintbrush that my wife really likes. They did not carry that particular brand and the ones they did carry are needing some restocking. With an item# ready, I call ahead to ensure whatever item I'm looking for is in stock. I normally place online orders & pick it up on my lunch hour. These ladies & gentlemen are ready for the lunch rush/browsers because when a line builds, more staff members hop on the registers to get us all back into work on time. This location was busiest during Christmas season though, and the shelves were stocked with many staff members always asking if you need help. Utilizing coupons online and in-store, this is my favorite craft store in the area. I peruse the aisles for sticker sales and dollar sticker books for my scrapbooking and pen pal needs. I always leave with a roll of washi tape when I see a 60% coupon or sign in the decorative tape section. I've procured my paper crafting needs at this location such as glue, mod podge, double-sided tape, an envelope folder/maker, scrapbook paper, and Sakura gelly rollers. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to find cute stationery paper here for pen palling, but most of the time there are no lines. Blank cards go on sale a monthly basis as well. It's bright in this store, and it makes it look more lively than other craft stores that have that dimmer yellow lighting. The baking section is also pretty crucial when it comes to getting colored sugar, food dye for icing, and melting chocolate (note: this stuff burns (as in affects the taste), so follow directions carefully). Between crafting needs, decorations, and DIY projects, this is the go-to store. This place can surely provide for whatever your creative hobby is, and both the app and their website are extremely functional in order to save you time as well as make price comparisons to good 'ol Amazon or Wish and AliExpress. read more

I came here the other day to pick up some trinkets for Easter. This store is huge! The new location is right next to Ross, TJ Maxx, and Cold Stone Creamery; Yep...I'm stoked! The layout is still the same but there are several more registers available. As you come in, the flower arrangements are to the right, and the baking, art supplies, and kids' toys are to the right. I notice they have more classes available for projects. All the employees are very helpful and courteous. read more

Smaller than your average Michaels. Took me a while to find a specific sale I saw advertised. Had lost all hope until I turned into a random aisle and there they were! 70% off frames. But they were not in the frame aisle. Very new and clean. Staff was friendly. Will return again! read more

This is the new location for the greenbrier Michael's and I'm totally in love! The building is updated and is far more stocked than the previous location. It still has the same general layout with the greenery and floral arrangements in the front followed by painting and art supplies on the left hand side of the store. I always come to Michael's for my artsy fartsy needs and I'm glad that this new location didn't move too far away from the previous one because I will always be back checking out the cool cookware, silly stickers, and awesome deals! read more

This is a new location for them and it's perfect. They needed a bigger store. It's cleaner and more organized. The staff is also quite helpful - more specifically the framing. I haven't found, to date, another store that will beat their prices and quality on framing - to include Joanns. I always wish that Joann's and michaels would "Unite" so we truly could get all your arts and Crafts needs under one roof. One could only dream :). Prices are okay. Yarn is cheaper at Walmart, but michaels has a larger selection. You're also paying for the customer service too. I've never taken a class, but I've heard rumors. A new michaels opened in greenbrier area, Chesapeake. The new michaels is bigger than old one and easy to look around in the store. I love Michaels and they always have what I am looking for and they always have a coupon and sales so I save up my money. read more

Consistently terrible. After recent experiences, I now go out of my way to visit rival craft stores or other Michaels locations. The Greenbrier store is consistently overwhelmed and poorly managed. Due to holiday craft sales, the holiday section is a constant disaster, never stocked, and completely ransacked. I gave the Black Friday rush the benefit of the doubt, but after visiting a week later, it appears they never cleaned up or reorganized their inventory. Bins are regularly a disaster. The ornament section is full of broken glass and IF you can find an employee, you're offered no assistance in finding what you're looking for through a sea of unorganized merchandise. read more

I love the new store but am only giving it an average rating because even though the new store has more room and is very well arranged they don't carry a full line of certain products only a partial line which means I have to drive to Virginia Beach or order online. It's not that they are out of stock the website says Not Sold at this location. I don't understand why they would only carry a partial line when they have room to carry the full line. read more
