Fantastic antique mall with the best collection of vintage toys I've ever seen; the entire second floor is categorized by genre and I saw more toys from my childhood than I knew still existed. The Virginia Beach Antique Mall was a cool spot to stop by to kill some time while in the area - this place is stated to be at over 32,000 square feet, hosting about 125+ dealers. You'll find items such as vinyl, instruments, dishware, movies, games, consoles, collectibles, prints, decor, etc. Just be mindful of the edition and when certain items were made - some prices are reflective of such. I really liked checking out the retro toys and figurines, as well as the 'vintage' Pyrex dishes. I found a couple of handmade hair clips made by a local artist that I had to get. They have two floors to walk around and a music room next door if you're looking for records, guitars, speakers etc. We spent a good hour or so looking at all the different items they had. The whole second floor is mostly toys and collectibles. Everything is organized by the brand or type of toy it is. I love how they have everything set up! I had so much fun at this place. It was like walking down memory lane. It made me think of my childhood, and all the cool things and times . They have an awesome record and music area, legos , Fiestaware, etc. The place is huge !!!! I have been here twice now and still haven't made my way up to the 2nd floor. I think there's toys up there, will check next time . I saw some really cool earrings and music boxes my last visit. I plan to go back and buy some! I also saw these amazing stained glass doors. Prices are decent, service is good . I usually spend a good hour here and leave with some awesome finds. I don't know why but this is my new go to place even if it's just to browse. Those who come here, or want to I reckon to read other reviews, like mine. I come here often with my mama and sometimes with my friends who are understandable and respectful. I am a teenager and understand the concept of costumer service as I provide costumers with support and often work with pets. I am quite respectful rather than most teens in VB. I gotta say, this is probably the worst place to shop. I understand that they don't make the prices and I understand how stressful it is working there can be as there isn't A/C and gets hot pretty fast. They charge too much. You could find better prices on Mercari or Poshmark for better quality. They also dont even clean any of their toys or just anything thats in there, INCLUDING whats inside the display cases, even if they claim to do so. This is very unsanitary, horrible look already. As somebody whose been here often, most of the workers are disrespectful, didnt know this nasty antique mall also hired nasty antique people who are in need of hearing aids too. Its mostly the guy in the front whose a drama queen. The sellers are chill and look forward to compromise with you, just the people who actually work there. you know, the ones who scan/type in the items. They also tend to charge more upfront because they mispriced something. Take accountability and quit up charging just because you feel like it. Also, if you work here, dont be so mean to those who are younger. Its ignorant and its not an ethical work environment. Just because YOURE miserable has no meaning. do NOT be rude to PAYING customers. and please, do NOT upcharge because of YOUR mistake. They also get rude when you dont want to pay 5x of what the item is priced for. I come from money, but I am not paying something that was originally priced 40 bucks then after they tend to communicate to another while there is a LINE, they end up charging (just based on THEIR decision, clearly) we/I end up being charged 100-120. There are no excuses that defend this type of behavior, this appears to be a common mistake that needs to be fixed if you want to be successful. Overall - dont come here, shop ethically and responsibly. I expected better service, coming from a younger person. If you support this behavior, then maybe this broke greedy ghetto shop is just right for you^^ :)! read more

This is my first time coming here and wow..! I can't believe I've never come across this hidden gem before! If you are an avid collector of Pokèmon TCGs & Anime related items, they have a lot in stock here! My only concern was walking through the second floor and hearing creaking sounds each time I took a step scared me a bit, other than that, it's a fun experience! This place is awesome. It's huge. You can spend hours here. I think I was here for 2.5 hours and saw approx 80% or so. The entire upstairs is dedicated to what I call "nerds paradise". They have huge sections for Star Wars and Marvel and Disney. They have every Funko ever made - like probably hundreds or thousands of them. They have Spider-Man, Batman, Hulk, Power Rangers, Joker, Wonder Woman, Pokémon, Ninja Turtle, Disney, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Etc etc. I saw thousands of mini figures and toys to look at and tons of comics and other goodies. It's endless. The downstairs is the antique portion with lamps, furniture, jewelry, glass wares and cook wares and everything else. There is a large section with books and old encyclopedias. At one end you'll find a large used video game section with PlayStation, Nintendo and Xbox games and accessories. At the other end you'll find a custom framing section and audio area with lots of old vinyl records and plays and subwoofers and stuff. My only complaint is they only have one small bathroom with one toilet and it's kept locked and to use it you have to go get a key from the front desk. Archaic and small. Located close to Lynnhaven and Town Center with a private parking lot with plenty of space. A great new find. Loved it. read more

This is by far the most unique, massive, and organized antique mall I have been to in the nation. Just when you think you've gone through every crevice--- there's another room for specific items. Wow this store has it all! If you love collecting then this is your place to be!!! This store had just the what I was looking for! What I bought, some manga, couldn't be purchased anywhere else other than for a few sellers on eBay! I was throughly impressed with the inventory. I def wouldn't come here expecting things to be cheap but with that being said things are priced very well. I was a little lost upstairs because it was just that big! The employees definitely don't come up to you for help lol but if you go to them they are willing to help! I will be returning! read more

If you're bored and looking for something cool and different to do, come to the Antique Mall. This place has all sorts of antiques, consignment items, collectibles, etc for sale! You can easily come into here not thinking you need anything to buy but you will leave with some sort of random item or trinket. This place is divided into many different sections but the area I like the most is their pokemon card area that also sells vintage video game systems and collectibles. You can buy pokemon singles but they also have bulk cards for sale as well. Upstairs you can find things like comics (Marvel/DC), action figures, toys, Star Wars items, funko pops, etc This place is ENDLESS. Their antique section is also very extensive and has everything from kitchenware, small furniture items, designer bags, and everything in between. You can spend so much time here browsing their unique selection. The employees are friendly and the prices seem fair as well. I am sure you will leave there with a new (old) item in hand. read more

This place is HUGE so be prepared to walk for at least 1-2 hours to finish browsing all of it! Only knocking one star off because every time I've been here, the staff are SUPER rude and unfriendly. DAVE the manager and TIM in the starwars section are both amazing gentleman. They are super friendly and make the customer service here fantastic. I am so happy I found this place. This is literally the best place to shop for toys and action figures. I found a whole bunch of childhood figures I had when I was younger and more. I will definitely be back. Every time my family comes to VA Beach you better believe I will stop by here to say to Dave and Tim again and to make some more purchases. If you're like me, history was your favorite class when you were in school as a child. There's something fascinating about taking a walk back in time and seeing the nostalgia in material form, all in one place. When we go on trips, me and my buddies like to check out nearby antique shops wherever we're staying. Virginia Beach had one of the very best we've seen thus far over the year. This place was very large and had two floors of stuff EVERYWHERE. Although there wasn't too much method to the madness as far as what went where on the first floor, there was no shortage of things that might pique your interest. I was drawn to the old radios and signs myself. My buddy was all about the toys, which the entire 2nd floor was filled with. Staff was very kind and welcoming. There are no carts to carry things, but when you find something you want, you can leave it up front with with the staff. Parking isn't too tight and there was enough space on a Saturday afternoon. There are two booths here that I'm in LOVE with. The first one has mid-century modern smalls... just about anything you could want in great colors, varieties and at decent prices. The other is a mid-century booth of mostly furniture. Prices aren't bad, but just high enough to keep me from buying anything. Some REALLY great pieces though that I'd want for my own collection. What an interesting place! Lots of people...young and old meandering through the maze of this vast space filled with quite a range of antique and collectibles. You really need to see this place over multiple visits...there is that much to check out. The upstairs appeared to be all vintage toys, but I was overwhelmed and couldn't go any longer. The only drawback was the less than helpful checkout clerks. Not sure if they were unfriendly or incompetent, but as my interaction was at the end of my visit, it did not detract from my appreciation of the place. read more

I returned to this location to add more toys to my collection. This time I noticed something I hadn't noticed before, the people that work here are extremely helpful. I needed two figures out of a locked case and the gentleman was very eager to help and made sure I got all I needed out of the case. Both figures (pictured) only cost me $26 which for the detail and size that's a great price to me. My girlfriend also found a glass decoration that she wanted but was hoping to get it a bit cheaper, after meeting the owner he agreed to lower the price for her & was extremely nice about it. I will definitely be back here many many times. If you collect toys or antiques you have to go to this mall, you will not regret it I promise. We hit a lot of antique stores all over the East Coast and the country, and this place is one of the best. Packed top to bottom with very cool antiques and collectibles of all types. The staff is friendly enough and there isn't an end to things you can find here. Unfortunately, some employees have a bad habit of not letting the customer buy something or hiding something if the employee plans on buying it. This place is the only place I've found that carries merchandise from a franchise that I am a big fan of. The item was hidden among "items that haven't been processed yet." It really keeps me from wanting to come here, the lack of professionalism in this aspect is the deterrent. This has happened more than once with the same employee. Employees have every right to shop where they work, but it should never be in competition with the customer. I may have the money to get an item I want, but whats the point if the only reason I come to the store gets hidden until the employee can buy it? In my opinion, merchandise should be put out for at least a day so the customer has a chance to buy it, if it isn't sold by the end of the day, the employee can have at it. read more

The staff was friendly and helpful and allowed me to put my collection of items behind the register while I continued shopping so I didn't have to carry it around with me. Love this mall! You could literally spend all day looking at everything, and just when you think you've seen it all, there's a second floor full of retro toys!! Prices throughout are on the high end for my taste, but I can't take a star away for that. The staff is friendly and helpful. Only complaint is the restrooms are closed. I get the whole COVID thing, but don't use it as an excuse to close off the restrooms to your customers. It's not fun having to drive down the road just to use the restroom. Love the place just wish they had more Antique Glass ,the first time i went there i bought a real nice Bowl and very old and there are some but the prices are a little to hi ,i understand they have to pay the rent but when you see the same thing 6 months latter that is not how you pay the rent lol You pay the rent buy selling things and moving on to the next item. i walk though the first set of doors where the cashier is , the door is located in the middle of the building and you see a show care straight in front with American Antique glass that has been there since the first time i went, not much has changed at all , maybe the persons added something but i do not see it coming off the shelf at all.I have walked every where and i do see a piece here and there but, most of it is Vintage glass ware.Anyway you can get some nice buys in this place for the most part. read more
