I went there for a hair cut maybe 6 months ago and I asked for the same stylist and I showed her a picture of what I wanted to be done with my hair. I have brown hair and I wanted a red dark color. She said she can do it I needed a appointment got to the salon so excited so nervous and I came out with the same color I came in. I went a crossed the street to a different salon and they fixed it. I am beyond disappointed with this salon, because I was really hoping to like it. If you're going for atmosphere this place is a 5/5. I am really sad to have had a bad experience, I really wanted to like this place. Starting with the fact that I have a chemical burn on my scalp from something used during shampoo/conditioning. To the fact that got my hair cut/styled. The cut itself is okay, very boxy not feathered in. The styling was absolutely horrible, I can blow out my own hair better than it was done here. I am fairly new to the area of Leesburg, and had heard great things about the salon. I could not get scheduled with the recommended stylist, so, I was booked with a stylist, that I found out later was fairly new to the profession. In spite of that fact, I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Long story short, 4 1/2 hours and $225.00 later, the finished product was not what i had asked for. I wanted to keep my length of my hair and to have it straightened, as i have worn for a decade. I left with shorter hair that feels like straw and a flipped up blowout, which I definitely would NEVER asked for!!! Let me leave you with this: no matter how skilled or unskilled one may be as a stylist, if, in the end, the customer has not received what they asked for, you have greatly failed to deliver competent skills. The appointment should have lasted no more than 2 hours, at best. 4.5 hours of my day were absolutely wasted! read more

Love that you can get both hair and makeup done all at one place (surprisingly hard to find!). Both hair and makeup looked great for my photo shoot. Staff was very professional and friendly. It was pretty seamless- I was in and out right on time and able to stick to my schedule for the day. Great experience. read more

I was very disappointed with my haircut. I had my hair done with Kristel (not sure with the name because I think there were two Kris in the salon) A few days after my haircut, my partner noticed that it wasnt cut evenly and it really needs some fixing. I called them and went back to do so. All the staff were all friendly including the stylist but to cost me 55 dollars for this kind of haircut is not worth it at all. I never really wanted to write about this but as the days go by, I have observed that it was really a horrible haircut even after she fixed it. I had to cut a few myself on the side just to make it even and looks nicely. read more

There is one thing that I look for in a hair salon and that is not being rushed. I can't stand when 3 other people are fit in between you. But Michael's was not like that at all. I am very pleased with the attention I received and the color I received. I have had my hair burnt at other salons and this was not the case here. Very happy. Had such a great experience at Michael's. I just moved to the area and was looking for a salon similar to my old one. The atmosphere of the salon is amazing, and as soon as I walked in I knew that I chose the right place to have my hair done. Shelly gave me a trim and conditioning treatment and I am so pleased with the outcome (and I am super picky). She was knowledgeable, honest, and so nice! My hair feels amazing! The salon uses the best products, and the prices are very reasonable! When checking out, I was having some issues with my credit card, and they were patient while I was on the phone resolving the issue. I have been going to Michael's for the past 12+ years and have never left disappointed. Barry Flynn has been my stylist and has taken me to many different styles all of which have been perfect. He listens to what you have to say and what you want done. In between appointments I can stop by if I need my bangs trimmed up or my neck shaved and he will always accommodate me and not even charge me. I have enjoyed watching all the changes that have been made to the salon over the years bringing it to the high end salon that it is now. read more

I found this salon on the Internet last year before coming for my "snowbird" visit to The Villages. I decided ahead of time I wanted to see the owner, Kim. What an extremely lucky decision that was. I saw Kim twice in 2016 and went again yesterday. Like most people, I am extremely fearful of having anyone but my stylist at home touch my hair. After a short consultation with Kim, last year, she was able to figure out exactly what I wanted and carried out the cut flawlessly. This was a great little salon that I found while poking around downtown Leesburg. It almost seems out of place here. Downtown Leesburg has a few good shops for poking around, but this place seems more upscale than the surrounding businesses. I didn't have an appointment but there happened to be a cancellation, so I was able to get my eyebrows waxed. The cost was $16. I later noticed some stray hairs that I would have had her pluck if I saw them in the salon. No big deal, though. The salon offers a full wall of Living Proof products, as well as some other well known brands. They also carry mineral makeup. I was interested in one of the many eye shadow trios that they had. The cost is $30 for one of them, but they are worth it because they travel well. I would come back here if I ever found myself in this neck of the woods again. But I would definitely make an appointment. This place looks like it stays busy. read more

Went in for a haircut the lady the first one as you go in by the desk where you pay. Name started with an S cut my hair, was the worst haircut I have ever had. I will not be returning given the prices and the service I can go anywhere and get better was very very disappointed. read more
